Le Bureau des Légendes #3.3

Sisteron: She owes me.
Céline: Enough to betray her country?
Duflot: The French resistants who worked with US and British secret services during the Occupation weren't betraying their country. It's not betrayal. To help us is to help the Kurdish cause.

Marina: ... Or I accept.
Duflot: You dive back in.
Marina: I start to work for the DGSE again, and pretend to work for the Mossad, disguised as the DGSE.

Duflot: The Mossad's plan is what's interesting. The last time they recruited in Paris through one of their French agents, the plan was to destroy a nuclear plant in Iraq.
Marina: You found out about it?
Duflot: Later on. Too late.
Marina: What if you'd known sooner?
Duflot: We'd have prevented it, or collaborated, or denounced them. Maybe even negotiated. Either way...
Marina: It would have been better.

Duflot: Why do you care? You could ignore it, let it go. But you don't. You want to understand. You want it to be helpful. You want to work in Intelligence. People don't change, Marina. They just put on different clothes.
Marina: You're quoting Celine Dion. "We don't grow up, we just get a little taller."

Philippe Sieca: You know our values?
Marina: No.
Philippe Sieca: Loyalty. High standards, discretion and versatility.

FSB agent: If he doesn't buy it?
Medecin Russe: Why wouldn't he?
FSB agent: He's an agent. He's deceived people before. He knows the drill.
Medecin Russe: He'll believe you. You know why?
FSB agent: Tell me.
Medecin Russe: Because you're giving him hope. And hope springs eternal. That's a French proverb.
