Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)
Puss in Boots: Hey, you want to see something cool?
Doctor: Please. This is serious.
Puss in Boots: What is it?
Doctor: Puss in Boots, how do I say this?... You died.
Puss in Boots: I laugh at death... And anyway, I am a cat. I have nine lives.
Doctor: And how many times have you died already?
Puss in Boots: Uh... I don't know. I never counted. I am not really a math guy, you know?
Doctor: ... That makes eight, Puss. You are down to your last life. My prescription: no more adventures for you. You need to retire.
The Big Bad Wolf: Hey. I never do this, but can I get your autograph? Been following you for a long time. Sign right there.
The Big Bad Wolf: Everyone thinks they'll be the one to defeat me, but no one's escaped me yet.
Puss in Boots: I am no longer worthy. I'm sorry.
Puss in Boots: We are gathered here today to say goodbye to Puss in Boots. There are no words to express such a loss. Thank you... But it would be a crime not to try.
Mama Luna: I bet you never even had a name. But you know what, I have thought of something perfect. I shall call you... Pickles!
Mama Luna: This is a person potty, Pickles. That's your potty...
Puss in Boots: So this is where dignity goes to die.
Perrito: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. You're a talking cat?
Puss in Boots: I'm a talking cat.
Perrito: Let's talk.
Puss in Boots: I'd rather eat.
Perrito: Oh, not a problem. We can eat and talk at the same time.
Kitty Softpaws: What is this? Are you a pirate now?
Puss in Boots: Shh.
Kitty Softpaws: It's like a possum crawled on your face and died.
Puss in Boots: Shh!
Kitty Softpaws: Of shame.
Puss in Boots: Please, mock me quietly.
Kitty Softpaws: What's your deal, anyway? You run with the Chihuahua Gang?
Perrito: I don't think so.
Kitty Softpaws: I don't believe you.
Perrito: That's okay. As long as you believe in yourself.
Kitty Softpaws: Wha... Is he deranged?
Puss in Boots: Yep.
Puss in Boots: Come on, Kitty. You've got to trust me...
Perrito: Wait. Wh-Wh-What's... What's going on with his eyes?
Kitty Softpaws: Oh, they're getting bigger.
Puss in Boots: Oh, Kitty!...
Perrito: You got to trust him. Look at those eyes.
Kitty Softpaws: Really? You call that cute?...
Perrito: Oh, look at her! Those eyes are even bigger than yours. Do whatever she wants, Puss... Wait a second. So poofy! No. With the paws? Come on! With the hat? It's all so cute! Cuteness overload!
Puss in Boots: It says we must go through the Valley of Incineration over Undertaker Ridge, through the Cave of Lost Souls?
Kitty Softpaws: Really? Let me take a look... What? Swamp of Infinite Sorrows? Mountains of Misery? The Abyss of Eternal Loneliness? There's something wrong with this map.
Puss in Boots: I guess there is a different terrible path for everyone.
Perrito: Oh, mine says... We skip through the Pocket Full of Posies. Then drift down the River of Relaxation. That sounds fun.
Kitty Softpaws: No fair.
Puss in Boots: Why does he get the good one?
Perrito: Wander the Fields of Quick and Easy Solutions, and arrive at the star. Oh, wow! That sounds wonderful.
Perrito: Watch. Don't rush through it. Take your time and really appreciate what's right in front of you.
Kitty Softpaws: Ugh. His path is so corny.
Puss in Boots: And cheesy.
Kitty Softpaws: And lame.
Puss in Boots: And weird, like him.
Perrito: My story? Oh. It's actually a very funny story. Back when I was a pup, me and my littermates lived with a family. A family full of pranksters who liked to play hide-and-seek, and I was always it. Pick on the little guy, am I right? They tried putting me in a packing crate, a dumpster. No matter how hard they tried, I'd always find them. So, one day, they get creative and they put me in a sock with a rock in it. And then throw me in a river. I gnawed a hole in the sock, and I swam to the surface. Never found them or my littermates. So I guess I'm still it.
Kitty Softpaws: Wow. That is the saddest funny story I've ever heard.
Perrito: Well, joke's on them. That sock they put me in, I grew into it. So, I got a great story and a free sweater out of it. Win-win.
Jack Horner: What do you think, bug? Do I wait for the cats to steal the map and then kill them, or do I just kill everybody all at once?
Ethical Bug: You know, I'm starting to think you don't appreciate the value of a life.
Jack Horner: What? No! I mean, I love these guys. Flex the glutes. I need a solid surface.
There's good in all people. There's good in all people...
Ethical Bug: You know, Jack, maybe we need to dig a little deeper. T-Tell me about your childhood.
Jack Horner: You know, I never had much as a kid. Just loving parents and stability and a mansion and a thriving baked goods enterprise for me to inherit. Useless crap like that.
Puss in Boots: Okay, you take the window, I'll take the chimney.
Perrito: What do I take?
Puss in Boots: Oh, you take it easy, Perrito.
Puss in Boots: You are no bounty hunter. You are...
The Big Bad Wolf: Death. And I don't mean it metaphorically or rhetorically or poetically or theoretically or in any other fancy way. I'm Death, straight up.
The Big Bad Wolf: Live your life, Puss in Boots. Live it well.
The Big Bad Wolf: You know we will meet again, right?
Puss in Boots: Sí. Hasta la muerte.
Kitty Softpaws: I hate to say it, but should we make a wish?
Puss in Boots: Kitty, one life spent with you is all that I could wish for.

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (2022)
Geppetto: No, no, no, no, no, you have to wait and see, Carlo! All good things require patience.
Geppetto: Lies, my dear boy, are found out immediately because they are like long noses, visible to all but the teller of the lie. And the more you lie, the more it grows!
Cricket: I'll try my best, and that's the best anyone can do... That's rather clever, isn't it?
Candlewick: If he's a puppet, where are his strings?
Podesta: That's true. Who controls you, wooden boy?
Geppetto: Of course, I control him...
Pinocchio: Who controls you?
Pinocchio: You know, Papa, I like my old legs. And I like them on fire.
Cricket: Oh, the pain. Life is such hideous pain.
Cricket: One nightmare after another...
Geppetto: Pinocchio, you shouldn't lie to me. I am your papa!
Pinocchio: But I'm telling the truth!
Geppetto: Then why is your nose growing?
Pinocchio: It's not!
Geppetto: Lies, lies, and more lies!
Pinocchio: I am not lying!
Geppetto: Will you look at you?
Death: ...you are not, nor will you ever be, a real boy like Carlo. The one thing that makes human life precious and meaningful, you see, is how brief it is.
Pinocchio: Oh.
Death: Don't get me wrong, you will die many, many times. This being one of them. But they are not real deaths. Just waiting periods. ... You will stay here with me a little longer each time you cross until the end of time.
Death: Life can bring great suffering. And eternal life can bring eternal suffering.
Pinocchio: Aw, it's not so bad as all that. Yeah, I get a little beat up every time, but as soon as I get back, I'm going home to my papa.
Death: Ah, but, Pinocchio, what if you don't see your father again?
Pinocchio: Of course I will. Why wouldn't I?
Death: While you may have eternal life, your friends, your loved ones, they do not. Every moment shared with them may be the very last. You never know how long you have with someone until they're gone.
Pinocchio: You know, all fathers love their sons, but... sometimes fathers feel despair, like everyone else. And they say things they only think they mean in the moment. But with time, they learn they never really meant it at all. And they may even call you ugly things like a burden or a coward, but inside... they love you.
Cricket: What happens, happens. And then, we are gone.

Goodbye Christopher Robin (2017)
Daphne Milne: Come on. You're the man. Take the lead.
Alan Milne: Where to start? A few years ago in Sarajevo, one Archduke was shot. And the next thing we know, ten million non-archdukes are shot. And for what?... What a jolly little farce. But I know that the final curtain... is surely coming for archdukes and top hats and the like... and for all the other fools... who led ordinary decent folk to the slaughter. So, what can one say but... Tinketty Tonk.
— Tinketty Tonk.
Daphne Milne: You know, if you don't think about a thing, then it ceases to exist. It's true. I read about it. It's all in Plato. It's called philosophy.
Daphne Milne: He's a boy. He'll grow up. He'll put on a uniform and he'll go off to war. And I will be waiting again like I waited for you. Never knowing.
Alan Milne: You listen to me. I just fought in the War to End All Wars. There won't be another one.
Daphne Milne: I couldn't stand to love someone who was going away again, Blue. Not like that.
Alan Milne: Bees... I completely forgot about bees. And honey. I forgot about honey.
Daphne Milne: You said you were bringing us here to write something. So write something! You are a writer who doesn't write!
Alan Milne: I'm thinking...
Daphne Milne: Well, let's hear your great thoughts.
Alan Milne: I'm thinking about where we go next.
Daphne Milne: London!
Alan Milne: No, not us. England.
Alan Milne: Where does England go next? The country is wounded, Daph. It's lost men, yes. But it's lost more than that. We need a sense of purpose. Don't you see? The nations of the world, they got together and banned slavery. What if we did the same with war? What if we all, all nations, got together and decided... that when there was a conflict, when there was a dispute, war was no way to settle it. War would go the way of the slave trade.
Daphne Milne: ...do you know what writing a book against war is like?
Alan Milne: No. Tell me.
Daphne Milne: It's like writing a book against Wednesdays. Wednesdays, Blue, are a fact of life... and if you don't like them, you could stay in bed but you can't stop them... because Wednesdays are coming and if today isn't actually a Wednesday it soon will be.
Alan Milne: You're going away?
Olive: I thought Mrs. Milne had said...
Alan Milne: Mrs. Milne is always saying things. I don't expect them to happen.
Christopher Robin: Mummy says they have to have names.
Alan Milne: Well, the tiger should be called Tiger.
Christopher Robin: Tigger is better than Tiger.
Alan Milne: Better how?
Christopher Robin: It's more tiggerish.
Alan Milne: Hmm... Fair enough.
Christopher Robin: Well, what's his name?
Alan Milne: He doesn't have a name. He's wild.
Christopher Robin: But I want to call him to me.
Alan Milne: You should call him Pooh, then. So if he ignores you, you can pretend you were just saying, "Pooh."
Alan Milne: The creatures in the story are toys. They're toys but the woods are real... And the size is wrong. The bear should be smaller. Size of a little brother.
Ernest: Blue, are we writing a book? I thought we were just having fun.
Alan Milne: We are writing a book and we're having fun.
Ernest: I didn't know you could do both at the same time. You don't usually look like you're having fun while you're writing.
Alan Milne: Ernest and I are putting your bear in a book.
Christopher Robin: He'll like that.
Alan Milne: We're putting you in it too. Will you like that?
Christopher Robin: I'm not sure. If I'm in a book, people might think I'm not real.
Alan Milne: Well, then it will be a surprise when they find out you are real.
Christopher Robin: And when they find out Winnie is real?
Ernest: We can't call him Winnie in the book, because Winnie is a girl's name.
Christopher Robin: No. It's a bear's name. It's different for bears. Nou says.
Alan Milne: Winnie the Pooh is a creature of bedtime. He's either just got up or just going off. He's reverie in bear form... Winnie the Pooh.
Ernest: That's rather...
Alan Milne: Inexplicable?
Ernest: Yes.
Christopher Robin: Why does everyone like Winnie the Pooh so much? He's my bear. Why don't they get their own bears?
Alan Milne: Well... You see, after the war there was so much sadness... that hardly anyone could remember what happiness was like. Then Winnie the Pooh came along and he was like a tap. You just turned it on and happiness came out.
Olive: A person should do the things a person loves with the people a person loves... because you never know what happens next.
Olive: Once upon a time, there was a nanny... who looked after a little boy. A very special little boy. She loved him so much... that she carried him in her heart... and in her prayers. And she hoped and prayed... and prayed and hoped that he would always remember... me.
Alan Milne: I'm sorry you paid the price for it. If I'd known, perhaps I...
Christopher Robin: What? Not written it? No. You reminded people what happiness was... what childhood could be when everything else was broken.
Alan Milne: But your own childhood...
Christopher Robin: ...was wonderful. It was growing up that was hard.

Doctor Dolittle (1967)
Matthew Mugg: But don't you see the problem?
Tommy Stubbins: What's that?
Matthew Mugg: Well, do you speak Chinese?
Tommy Stubbins: No.
Matthew Mugg: Then if you sell your grandfather's watch and we go to China, how are you going to tell the time?
Tommy Stubbins: I never thought of that.
Tommy Stubbins: Who looks after the animals?
Dr. John Dolittle: They look after themselves for the most part. Animals are better at that than human beings.
Tommy Stubbins: And how did you become a veteran?
Matthew Mugg: Stubbins, the word is veterinarian. Say animal doctor, it's less pretentious.
Dr. John Dolittle: Did you know that an ant has more intelligence than a hippopotamus? And a grasshopper, in relation to its size, has more power in its hind legs than a kangaroo. Absolutely fascinating. There's no doubt about it - animals are much more interesting than people.
Dr. John Dolittle: You know, Matthew, today I made a great discovery... I'm a terrible doctor. I'm probably the worst doctor in the world.
Matthew Mugg: Good for you. I like a man who knows his worth.
Dr. John Dolittle: I have absolutely no interest in the health and welfare of my patients. I can't begin to communicate with them. I don't even want to communicate with them. In fact, I've come to the conclusion that, with the exception of yourself, I have nothing in common with the human race.
Dr. John Dolittle: You mean animals actually talk to one another?
Polynesia: Well, of course we can. Do you think we're all dumb?
Dr. John Dolittle: I... No, no. I knew parrots could talk.
Polynesia: Parrots are the finest linguists in the animal kingdom. I speak over 2,000 languages, including Dodo and Unicorn.
Dr. John Dolittle: Unicorn?
Polynesia: I had a classical education.
Dr. John Dolittle: Polynesia, could I learn to talk to animals?
Polynesia: I don't see why not. You're quite intelligent.
Dr. John Dolittle: Oh, thank you. If I succeeded, I could become the greatest animal doctor in the world.
Polynesia: Oh, no question. Mind you, it isn't easy. I'm the only parrot in the world who actually understands what she's talking about.
Dr. John Dolittle: If you can do it, I don't see why I shouldn't.
Polynesia: I like your attitude.
Dr. John Dolittle: Polynesia, I want you to teach me everything you know.
Polynesia: What? 2,000 languages?
Dr. John Dolittle: Certainly. We'll start at eight tomorrow.
Polynesia: But it took me over 100 years.
Dr. John Dolittle: Then we’II start at seven. There's not a moment to lose.
Emma Fairfax: I've never in my entire experience known anyone treat people as appallingly as you do.
Dr. John Dolittle: I don't treat people, I treat animals.
Emma Fairfax: You treat people like animals too.
Dr. John Dolittle: I don't like people whose idea of pleasure is to take a defenceless animal and make a social event out of a killing.
Matthew Mugg: That's marvelous, but tell me, Doctor, how do you make money with a pushmi-pullyu?
Dr. John Dolittle: I thought it was obvious. Stubbins, what would you do if you had two heads?
Tommy Stubbins: I'd join a circus, sir.
Dr. John Dolittle: Exactly!
Matthew Mugg: Well, where are we going?
Dr. John Dolittle: To hunt for the great pink sea snail.
Matthew Mugg: And where do you expect to find it?
Dr. John Dolittle: I haven't the faintest idea. One place is as good as another, so it's time to decide. Otherwise we won't know we've arrived.

Dolittle (2020)
Dab-Dab: This goes against Dolittle's rules.
Betsy: Why are humans against the rules, again?
Dab-Dab: If you let humans too close, you'll get hurt more than you would if you didn't let them in at all. Isn't that right, Doc?
Kevin: I... I... I... I'm too beautiful to die.
Lord Thomas Badgley: I say, Dolittle, what is your plan?
Dr. John Dolittle: The plan?
Lord Thomas Badgley: I suppose we do need one.
Dr. John Dolittle: Well, the queen's only hope is a cure that's never been tested from a tree that's never been seen, on an island that's never been found. Sounds ridiculous, saying it out loud. But regardless of that, we have no choice but to embark on this perilous journey to obtain the fruit of the Eden Tree.
Barry: Whew! We've done it! We've done it! We've... missed it.
Betsy: Okay, boss, what's our next move?
Barry: We cut our losses. Change our identities. Ditch the kid in the river.
Kevin: Hello! I bought a front-row seat to crazy town.
Plimpton: Nothing about me is okay. My father was right about me. I should have been an omelet.
Yoshi: Pfft. I know how you feel. My dad said he was going out for a pack of seals one night and never came back. I guess we got something in common after all, Plimpton.
Plimpton: What is this feeling? I'm all warm and fuzzy inside.
Yoshi: That's friendship, bro.
Plimpton: Huh. Not bad, bro.
Kevin: Kevin's log, day 12. Some force beyond my comprehension still compels me to follow this crew of lunatics, the squirrel killer, and their deranged leader. Perhaps it's the magic tree that draws me.
Dr. John Dolittle: To put it simply, more leafy greens and less armor in your diet.

The Abominable Snow Baby (2021)
Albert: Ok, come on, Albert. Like Grandad used to say, big breath now and dive in.
Albert: Are you ok?
Granny: Never better. But brimstone and treacle! I haven't seen weather like this since I went to Siberia on my honeymoon.
Granny: You know what? I think I'll learn to ski.
Albert: But you're 98.
Granny: Prime of life, Albert, prime of life.
Granny: Great bags of peppermint! Isn't this lovely?
Granny: Oh, don't sit around like that - it's unhealthy. Why don't you have a skiing marathon? A snowman-building competition? A massive marshmallow barbecue?
— All the roads are blocked, and the telephone lines are down.
— And no-one will come and dig us out because hardly anyone outside Gritshire knows where Blackbury is.
Granny: Well, we won't starve, for sure. We can always find something to nibble on. When I went to Alaska in my 20s, we ended up eating our boots. Chins up.
— She brought it on herself. That's what happens when you take a hairy stranger into your home.
— If you think I'm going up to that evil place, you've got another think to thunk.
Police Sergeant: Ok, listen up, people. Let's brace ourselves because we're off to... Even Moor.
Narrator: And so, the townspeople were happy and full of Christmas spirit. And they all agreed that they had learnt an important lesson from Granny... that an act of true kindness always pays back.
Narrator: .... And if that isn't Christmas magic, then who knows what is?

Perrault: Oh, yes, he does. Oh, yes. Buck, we're all tied up together now. We fall all together... but so do we get up as one.

"Let's go," I said. He said, "Yeah, Pop." We'd start there... but then he grabbed a pencil... and he drew a line off the map... and he said, "But let's go there. Off the map. Where no one's been."
John Thornton: You've been staying out later and later every day. Yeah, I know, there's a lot to explore... but world's a dangerous place. You never know what's coming. You never know.

Store Manager: We have everyday low prices here, sir--
Ed: Fish and relatives stink after three days.
Secret Warrior: "People who steal other people's rooms should not sleep well."
Ed: You really want a war? Because, you know, I've been in one. And it's not like video games. Even if you win, everybody gets hurt.
Ed: So, what are the rules of engagement?
Peter: The what?
Ed: Rules of engagement. What's allowed and not allowed.
Peter: You don't have rules in a war.
Ed: Oh, yes, you do. "Rule number one... No collateral damage to civilians or their property." That means it can't affect your parents or your sisters.
Peter: Agreed.
Ed: "Rule number two... No telling." This is man-to-man, just between me and you. No ratting the other guy out.
Peter: Agreed.
Ed: Okay. Sign.
Ed: This will never be spoken of.
Arthur: No idea what you're talking about.
Ed: Don't start nothing, won't be nothing.
Ed: That's what I've been trying to tell you when this all started. War is no game, Peter. Only kids and fools and generals think that. War hurts. War wounds and kills and causes misery.
Peter: Is he gonna be okay?
Sally: He'll be fine. You and Mia, on the other hand, that's a different story.
Arthur: You're both chor-rounded for the next six months.
Mia: Chor-rounded? What does that even mean?
Arthur: Chores plus grounded, times six months.

Jesper: What happened here?
Mogens: Oh! Uh, colorful local traditions. Quirky folklore. That kind of thing. All part of this quaint town's vibrant culture.
Mogens: Well, lots of nice, natural light, rustic touches, central air and panoramic views. Perfect for animal lovers. Enjoy.
Mogens: Here, let me help you out. You're a postman in Smeerensburg, which is on an island cut off from the world, frigid cold, angry, violent neighbors, and this is your home now. Are we starting to connect the dots?
Mrs. Krum: Do you know what this is, little boy?
Mr. Ellingboe: This is tradition!
Mrs. Krum: Centuries of glorious hatred, passed down through generations! There was the hundred-day brawl of '45...
Mr. Ellingboe: ...which we totally won!
Mrs. Krum: The maritime game of chicken.
Mr. Ellingboe: The Great Mooning of '86.
Mrs. Krum: So, if there's something we know...
Mr. Ellingboe: ...going back as far as we can remember...
Mrs. Krum: ...it's that a Krum despises an Ellingboe...
Mr. Ellingboe: ...and an Ellingboe can't stand a Krum!
Mrs. Krum: That is why.
Mr. Ellingboe: Now, I just know you didn't mean to disrespect all of that heritage, right?
Mogens: Ah. Young love. Takes me back, you know? The intense looks, the palpitation of the heart. The whimpering and the soiling of the pants, no. I can't relate to so much.

The Lion King (2019)
Scar: Life's not fair... is it, my little friend? While some are born to feast... others spend their lives in the dark, begging for scraps. The way I see it... you and I are exactly the same. We both want to find a way out.
Simba: All of this will belong to me?
Mufasa: It belongs to no one, but will be yours to protect. A great responsibility.
Mufasa: You must not go there, Simba.
Simba: But I thought a king could do whatever he wants. Take any territory.
Mufasa: While others search for what they can take... a true king searches for what he can give.
Mufasa: Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance... and respect all the creatures... from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.
Mufasa: Simba, you can't escape your destiny.
Simba: I just wanted to show you I could do it. That I could be brave like you.
Mufasa: I'm only brave when I have to be, when there's no other choice.
Simba: But you're not scared of anything.
Mufasa: I was today.
Simba: You were?
Mufasa: Yes. I thought I might lose you.
Simba: I guess even kings get scared, huh?
Mufasa: More than you could ever know.
Mufasa: Look at the stars. The great kings of the past... look down on us from those stars. ... So whenever you feel alone... just remember that those kings... will always be up there to guide you. And so will I.
Simba: But I can't see them, Dad.
Mufasa: Keep looking, son. Keep looking...
Timon: So, how are you, in as few words as possible?
Simba: I did something terrible. I don't wanna talk about it.
Pumbaa: Look, kid, we've all made mistakes. Uh, there must be something we can do, right?
Simba: Not unless you can change the past.
Timon: Well, you know, that's a lot to ask...
Pumbaa: That's a biggie.
Timon: ...if I'm being honest. I mean, change the past? It already happened. Yeah, so you can't change that. But you know what you can change? The future! That's our specialty.
Pumbaa: Kind of our thing.
Simba: How can you change something that hasn't happened?
Timon: Well, to change the future, you gotta put your past behind you.
Pumbaa: Way behind.
Timon: Look, kid, bad things happen and you can't do anything about it, right?
Simba: Right.
Timon: Wrong! When the world turns its back on you... you turn your back on the world!
Pumbaa: And only embrace what's next!
Timon: And turn the "what" into "so what?"
Timon: Repeat after me, kid. Hakuna matata.
Pumbaa: Do you ever look up there and wonder what those sparkly dots are?
Timon: Oh, Pumbaa. I don't wonder. I know. ... They're fireflies. Fireflies that got stuck on that big, bluish-black thing.
Pumbaa: Oh. I guess that makes sense. I always thought they were balls of gas burning billions of miles away.
Timon: Oh, Pumbaa, why is everything always gas with you?
Nala: You have to take your place as king.
Pumbaa: King? Simba? We kneel before you as loyal servants.
Timon: Pumbaa, relax. She's wrong.
Pumbaa: Lady, you've got your lions crossed.
Timon: Hyenas everywhere.
Pumbaa: I hope it's a quick death. You know, just not a lot of chewing.
Timon: What's your plan for getting us past the slobbering guards?
Simba: Live bait.
Pumbaa: That's a great idea! Those guys could never resist fresh meat. So all we need to do is find something that's, like, big... and plump, and juicy. Maybe like a gnu?.... Why is everyone looking at me?

JJ: Don't be crazy. I'm just a guy standing in front of another guy, asking him not to shoot him.
Bobbi: Oh, Christ. 'Notting Hill'!
David Kim: He's screwed.
JJ: There is one thing I'm good at... Kicking ass.
Bobbi: Oh, man. Bobbi Ulf, tech support. Can I just say, it's an honor to meet you. I have read every page of your case file and it's a page-turner, like 'Fifty Shades of Amazing'.

JJ: No, the boredom.
Bobbi: Oh, yeah. I know. There's so many layers, huh?
JJ: Do. Not. Touch.
Sophie: When you look out there, what do you see?
JJ: 90 civilians, minimal security, soft perimeter. No cover.
Sophie: Smiling people having fun. You should try it sometime.
Kate: Can I just help you...
JJ: No. No, it's OK, I'm good. I'm just gonna head home and gather my thoughts.
JJ: If you divide a dozen bad guys by the two of us, how many bad guys do each of us get to take down?
Sophie: Well, 12 divided by 2 is 6, but if your partner is Bobbi, you're taking down all 12 and she's cheering you on from the van.
Bobbi: Oh, but, wait, then seven more bad guys surround your compound and you don't know which way to go because your tech support hates you and drove away, so, oops, you're dead.
Bobbi: Oh, I'm gonna touch!
Bobbi: Freeze! I will shoot you right in your beautifully botoxed face.
Bobbi: Is it just me or does this seem familiar?
JJ: I'm a little busy right now!
Bobbi: No, I mean, the propeller and the fuel tank. It's like all we're missing is Nazis.

Lemony Snicket: "It's a slippery slope" is an expression which refers to the way even small, seemingly harmless actions can set you down a path to something horribly wrong.
Lemony Snicket: ... a slippery slope can also be literal.
Violet: Try not to think about falling.
Klaus: But it's impossible to think about anything else.
Violet: We're alive, but we're not okay.
Count Olaf: Do you smell that, Esmé? That's the fresh mountain scent of T-R-Y-M-F!
Esmé Squalor: What, darling?
Count Olaf: Triumph!
Count Olaf: I haven't felt this sharp and focused since I first smelled kerosene.
Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender: They've gotten themselves out of a number of dangerous situations. In a way, one can't help but admire them.
Count Olaf: One can too help but admire them, and I am sure they're dead! They fell off a cliff. Please! This isn't some overexaggerated melodrama.
Lemony Snicket: Allow me to offer a word of caution: If you happen to find yourself on a slippery slope, watch your step. When you're on top of something, such as a moral threshold or a mountain... there's nowhere to go but down.
Count Olaf: It's important to be well-rested before committing arson.
Count Olaf: We will surprise those volunteers in the middle of coffee, or tea, or whatever it is pretentious people drink.
Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender: There's no paper.
Count Olaf: It's called a catchphrase, a word which here means "a catchy phrase," and it is one of the most important tools in any pre-former's repertoire. ... A catchphrase should be cool and snappy, and you should be able to use it in any situation at all, like, um... "It's my way or the freeway." Or, "Give me those earrings, Rachel."
Count Olaf: I'm about to get everything I've ever wanted in life, so I'm feeling generous.
Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender: Is a personal philosophy of moral relativism the only way to survive in an ethically complex world, or is it an excuse we use to justify doing bad things?
Lemony Snicket: There is a story that describes more or less the same situation, and that is the story of Cinderella... Cinderella was a young person who was placed in the care of various wicked people who teased her and made her do all of their chores... She was rescued by a fairy godmother who magically created a special outfit so Cinderella could go to a ball and marry a prince. If you would like the story of Sunny Baudelaire, simply take the story of Cinderella and eliminate the fairy godmother, the special outfit, the ball, the prince, the marriage, the seasonal gourd that becomes a carriage, and the ending where they live happily ever after.
Klaus: How can anyone be "xylophone"? It's not an adjective.
Quigley Quagmire: Have you read the story of Anna Karenina?
Klaus: Our mother read it to us.
Violet: We were very young, so she'd stop to explain all the words and themes.
Carmelita Spats: Boring!
Klaus: Anna Karenina is a classic of Russian literature!
Carmelita Spats: That's another word for boring,
Quigley Quagmire: Some things are easier to find in the dark.
Carmelita Spats: Give me those earrings, Rachel!
Violet: We don't know who you are. How do we know we can trust you?
Quigley Quagmire: "Xenial" is an adjective that begins with X. It means being welcoming to strangers. Having a good vocabulary doesn't guarantee that I'm a good person, but it does mean I've read a lot, and in my experience, well-read people are less likely to be evil.
Carmelita Spats: I only watch network television.
Lemony Snicket: An aura of menace is a distinct feeling of evil that accompanies the arrival of certain people. Having an aura of menace is like having a pet weasel because you rarely meet someone who has one, and when you do, it makes you want to hide under your desk.
Mommy: What do you have to say for yourself?
Count Olaf: It wasn't my fault! It was theirs! I am surrounded by incompetence and disloyalty!
Hook-Handed Man: Hey, that's not fair.
Count Olaf: It's more than fair. It's totally true!
Klaus: The central theme of the novel Anna Karenina...
Violet: Is that a rural life of moral simplicity...
Klaus: Is the preferable personal narrative to a daring life of impulsive passion...
— Which only leads to tragedy.
Klaus: Our mother had us memorize it.

Genie: Be specific with your words. The deal is in the detail.
Aladdin: But won't people recognize me?
Genie: Nobody'll recognize you. That's how genie magic works. People see what they're told to see.
Genie: Okay, listen to me. I live in a lamp. This is a party. Do not mess this up for me. Okay? I like to party. Go get her!
Aladdin: You don't get it, Genie. People like me don't get anything except by pretending.
Genie: I think maybe you don't get it. The more you gain by pretending, the less you're actually gonna have.
Jasmine: Duty isn't always honor. Our greatest challenge isn't speaking up against our enemies... but defying those whose approval we seek the most.

Peter B. Parker: Nope, that was everything.
Peter B. Parker: Everybody knows that the best way to learn is under intense life-threatening pressure.
Peter B. Parker: We're a little team! Me as the teacher who could still do it. You as the student who can do it, just not as good. I'm proud of us. Is there something you want to say to me?
Miles Morales: How many more Spider-People are there?
Peter B. Parker: Save it for Comic-Con.
Miles Morales: What's Comic-Con?
Aunt May: And what dimension are you from?
Miles Morales: Brooklyn.
Uncle Aaron: You're the best of all of us, Miles. You're on your way. Just keep going. Just keep going...
Spider-Ham: Miles, the hardest thing about this job is you can't always save everybody.
Spider-Ham: Do animals talk in this dimension? 'Cause I don't wanna freak him out.
Miles Morales: When will I know I'm ready?
Peter B. Parker: You won't. It's a leap of faith. That's all it is, Miles. A leap of faith.
Peter B. Parker: Why is this always difficult?..
Spider-Ham: That's all, folks.
Peter B. Parker: Is he allowed to say that, legally?
Miles Morales: Anyone can wear the mask. You can wear the mask. If you didn't know that before, I hope you do now.
