Mr. Robot — Series Finale Part 2

Mr. Robot 4×13

Elliot: I had no other choice.

Mr. Robot: Wherever you go, I go. Remember?

Elliot: Whiterose's machine, somehow it worked. She was right. We're in a world where everything's better.
Mr. Robot: Not for him.

Elliot: If you're here to tell me what I did was wrong—
Mr. Robot: Not anymore. You need to start seeing that for yourself.

Dominique: Unfortunately, I can't let you get away with this.

Mr. Robot: If you just calm down, I can tell you what's happening. You just have to listen.

Elliot: So... this is some kind of dream?
Mr. Robot: No. Not a dream. A prison.

Elliot: The real Elliot?

Mr. Robot: You're no more Elliot Alderson than I am. You're just like me, only a part of him.

Mr. Robot: You can't kill him... no matter how hard you try.

Elliot: If I'm not Elliot... Who the fuck am I?
Mr. Robot: You already know.

Angela: You're not Elliot. You're the mastermind.

Not-Krista: I understand why you're confused... I can explain everything if you let me.

Elliot: I guess she doesn't know about you.
Not-Krista: I know all about them too, the voyeurs who think they aren't a part of this despite being here for all of it.

Elliot: I don't want to hear this again.
Not-Krista: The truth about who you are? I think it's time. Even they agree with me.

Not-Krista: And now it's time for you to give that control back to the host... The real Elliot.

Elliot: This is real, isn't it?... Please tell me this isn't a dream.

Darlene: Guess it's official. You saved the world, Elliot Alderson.

Elliot: Hello, friend.

Elliot: Darlene... I'm not Elliot. I'm only a part of him.

Elliot: Come on. This only works if you let go too.

Darlene: Hello, Elliot.

Mr. Robot — Series Finale Part 1

Mr. Robot 4×12

Elliot: Hello, friend. Hello, friend. Wait, you can hear me again? Have you been there this whole time?

Elliot: We're dead, right? There's no way we survived. But if we're dead... then how am I talking to you?

Elliot: Where are we?

Phillip Price: If I'm to be his father-in-law, he should be a little frightened of me.

Elliot: These images, I've seen them before. I've pictured this fantasy so many times. This is what normal people do when they're happy, right? Get married, start a family, surround themselves with people they love, with people that love them.

Emily Moss: Oh, well, this is weird. Elliot, it says that you're calling me.

Elliot: Everything in his life seems perfect. But nobody is as perfect as they seem.

Elliot: I'll find something. He can't be this happy. No one is.

Elliot: Haven't you been paying attention? Everyone has a secret. People are always hiding something: Their vulnerabilities, their fears, their shame.

Elliot: Everyone has a monster. The question is, what's his? .... And there it is, a hidden partition, a drive full of files he doesn't want anyone to see.

Elliot-2: Who are you?... What are you doing in my apartment? And why do you look like me?

Elliot-2: Sometimes when I get bored, I create people in my head... Like him. You know, someone with a more exciting life. Like a superhero, except his power would be computers. He'd a cybersecurity engineer by day, vigilante hacker by night... Is that what you are?

Elliot: And fsociety?
Elliot-2: That's just a dumb name I came up with for a hacker group. You know... fuck society?

Elliot: Why did you create this person?
Elliot-2: I guess... Sometimes I fantasize about being him.
Elliot: So you want to be him?
Elliot-2: No, not really. Look at him. He's angry. He has no life. He's alone. He's not normal... Oh, shit, man. I'm sorry.

Elliot: Shit, he can hear us.

Angela Moss: Oh, my God, Elliot. What have you done?

Angela Moss: Elliot, you always overthink everything. You have to finally let yourself be happy. That's all it takes. It's just a choice that you have to make, a switch that you have to flick on.

Angela Moss: Do you love me?
Elliot: Of course I love you. I've always loved you.
Angela Moss: Great, because I love you too. So how about it, then? You wanna start this new life with me or what?
Elliot: More than anything.
Angela Moss: Okay, then it's settled. I'll see you tomorrow.

Elliot: Please, don't judge me. This was inevitable.

Elliot: I had no other choice.

Whiterose: You were looking for Minister Zhang? He isn't here. He's dead. There is only Whiterose...

Mr. Robot: You go down this path, it'll never end. It'll always be something else. Another symbol to destroy, more people to save. This is an endless war. At a certain point, we gotta move on.

Elliot: I'm not shutting you out. I want to do this one on my own.

Whiterose: Elliot, please. Don't make me laugh.

Whiterose: On the contrary, it is my love for people that drives me. It always has been, because I know, deep in every person's heart... They are trying to be good. They were just dealt a bad hand by a world unfit for us so please don't make me fucking laugh and accuse me of hating people when you, Elliot, wear that hate like a badge of honor!

Elliot: You're right. I hate people. I'm scared of them. I've been scared of them practically my whole life. People I loved... people I trusted... have done their absolute worst to me. And for a long time, that's all I ever knew. So, yeah, I called my group fsociety, because you know what? Fuck society. Society deserves to be hated for everything you said they did and more.

Elliot: But then there are some people out there... And it doesn't happen a lot. It's rare. But they refuse to let you hate them. In fact, they care about you in spite of it. And the really special ones, they're relentless at it. Doesn't matter what you do to them. They take it and care about you anyway. They don't abandon you, no matter how many reasons you give them. No matter how much you're practically begging them to leave. And you wanna know why? Because they feel something for me that I can't... They love me.

Elliot: And, yeah, you're right. We're all told we don't stand a chance, and yet we stand. We break, but we keep going, and that is not a flaw. That's what makes us. So, no, I will not give up on this world. And if you can't see why, then I speak for everyone when I say, fuck you!

Whiterose: Our paths were too precisely linked to this moment for there not to be a reason. This is why. You get to decide.

Elliot: I love you.
Mr. Robot: I love you, too.
Elliot: It's an exciting time in the world.

Elliot: Was that an earthquake?
Angela: It can't be, can it? In New York City?

Angela: Hey. Can't wait to marry you tomorrow.

You just said E Corp. Don't you mean F Corp?
Elliot: F Corp. Yeah, that's what I meant.

Elliot: .... With Allsafe at the wheel, F Corp can do what they do best... navigate the world to a brighter future. Any questions?

Tyrell: Let me ask you something, Elliot... What's the worst thing about your life right now?

Elliot: If I'm being honest... The worst thing in my life... Is also the best thing. I get up every morning, I play my records, I get ready, get my coffee, I come to work, I'm stuck in a repetitive, boring routine that feels endless. And, sure, I've imagined what it would be like to be someone with a more exciting life. A risk-taker. Someone more interesting. But in the end, I know I'm lucky to be where I am.
Tyrell: Please have a seat...

Elliot: Tyrell, I pledge to you right now that if you go with Allsafe, the worst will never happen.

Angela: We're finally getting married. That couldn't be it, could it?

Mr. Robot 4×10

Dominique: I don't have anyone.

Darlene: Or did you actually think that dresser over there was gonna do anything more than throw off your feng shui?

Dominique: What's your plan, anyway? Run? How long? How far? Where is this magical place when you're gonna feel safe enough to stop looking over your shoulder?

Dominique: I'm not alone. I have Alexa, remember?
Alexa: Sorry, I'm having trouble understanding right now.

Darlene: This is not a person! She is not real. She is not your friend. She is just a robot you use to buy paper towels.

Darlene: Are you sure you don't want to come with us?
Elliot: I can't. I'm not done.

Leon: It's like I always say: Gotta keep a open mind at every opportunity that comes your way. You've seen that one movie, "Three Days of the Condor," right?.. Dude, you've never seen "Three Days of the Condor," and you're a fucking FBI agent? You've gotta check that out.

Leon: Normally I don't go for that '70s paranoia shit, but I don't know, this one... this one really spoke to me. You know, maybe it was what my boy Joubert says: "I don't interest myself in the why. I think more often in terms of the when, sometimes where, but always how much." I fucking felt that. Got me opening up my eyes to diversifying my revenue streams and whatnot.

Leon: Yeah, believe it or not, Connecticut's swarming with Dark Army, given the concentration of RWAs... Rich, white assholes. Yep, that's who they like doing their business with. Usually, that's their number one client, in fact.

Leon: I gotta find a rest stop anyway. Gotta steal me a mirror real quick.... What, do you not know your Vonnegut?

Leon: Man, nobody fucking reads anymore...

Dominique: What do you think of Jackie?
Leon: Jackie's whoever you want her to be.
Dominique: Yeah, it's easy for you to say. You're not pretending to be someone you're not.
Leon: You think Leon's my real name?.....

Darlene: For once, I wanna drop the paranoia and just take all this in. Just for this moment.
Dominique: What is this moment, exactly?
Darlene: Watch this.....

Darlene: Shut the fuck up and just watch.

Dominique: Everyone got this much?

Dominique: This isn't what justice is supposed to look like. We have laws for a reason.
Darlene: And they were so powerful, they wrote the laws to benefit themselves. They got away with everything because they banked on us, all of us, to trust the system. That was our vulnerability, and they took advantage of it.

Darlene: This is it. Everything we've been through led up to this one moment... The greatest redistribution of wealth in history.

Darlene: We just Robin Hooded those evil motherfuckers.

Darlene: Let me think about it.
Leon: Cool... Till the next episode, then.

Irving: Well, word around camp is they don't care about you two no more.
Dominique: What do you mean?
Irving: They've picked up and skedaddled off to something more important.
Dominique: Where?
Irving: That I can't tell you.

Young Elliot: Mom. Maybe we should just tell him now... About everything. Then Elliot will be okay.

Mr. Robot: I know. You weren't expecting me. But I'm here for Elliot, same as you.

Mr. Robot: Life throws you an error code like that, you don't have the luxury of a fucking pop-up explanation. So what are you supposed to do? Move on without answers, or stay down and drive yourself crazy with questions?

Mr. Robot: Yeah, I'm worried. For what, though, I'm not sure. But whatever it is... It's coming.

Mr. Price: I'm an old man, Zhang. I gave up on foreplay long ago. Let's just skip ahead to the part where you try to fuck me.

Mr. Robot: If Elliot were here, what would he do? He'd look for abnormalities, incompatibilities, anything that isn't adding up, any conflicts.

Mr. Price: Whoa... It's bad management when your best employees either walk off the job, or blow their brains out.

Whiterose: You believe what most people believe? Only what is right in front of you? I expected more from you...

Whiterose: Elliot, are you there?

Anonymous: Deus Group, you have been owned. fsociety and the world will cheer as we watch your black hearts stop beating. This is not a warning. This is the beginning of the end. We are fsociety.

Mr. Price: All this over a little pipsqueak in a hoodie...

Mr. Price: ...that's why it works, right? The one thing every person has: regret. You weaponize that, and then you use that weapon against them to destroy them.

Elliot: It happened. It actually happened.

Mr. Price: I warned you. I told you long ago. I'm a mercenary. I'd rather see you lose than win myself.

Mr. Price: Think of it this way, Zhang... You didn't lose the game. You just ran out of time.

Fernando Vera: I'm all emotional and shit. Told myself I'd keep it cool, you know. Told myself I wouldn't do no fanboy shit like this, but I'm sorry, dude. I just have so much respect for your ass, it makes me all... Yo, what's that word those weird-ass Hasids use for this shit?
Javi: Mm, "verklempt"?
Fernando Vera: That's it, verklempt.

Mr. Robot: Settle in, this looks like it's gonna be a long one...

Fernando Vera: ...And then it hit me why I was feeling empty that whole time. Home isn't where you from. It's... where you supposed to be.

Fernando Vera: So tell me, how do we get him out? How does this voodoo shit work, exactly? Do we say "Mr. Robot" three times in the mirror? Rub a lamp? Roll your eyes back, play Bob Marley, light some candles?

Mr. Robot: You wanna talk? Let's talk.
Fernando Vera: How do I know it's you? I didn't see no puff of smoke.

Peanuts: What kind of name is Mr. Robot anyway? Some Nickelodeon bullshit, man.

Mr. Robot: I'm not someone you push around with a gun. I am the gun. So yeah, you gotta convince me.

Fernando Vera: I wanna own every corner of this city. I want them all pushing my product. And I mean everyone, not just no drug dealers. Every business, every storefront, every billboard in this city, every train in every tunnel, every pig in blue. From the night whores walking the streets to the day whores on the Upper East Side, from the rapists down in lockup to the ones in the high-rises. I wanna roll five boroughs into one Dominican blunt, smoke that shit as I count my cash and ash on these Warbuckses' white, bald heads. That is my master vision, and that... Mr. Robot, is what I want. I wanna own this island.
Mr. Robot: So let me see if I got this... You wanna get into real estate. Is that it? Is that what all this is about?

Mr. Robot: In your word salad, I heard something about drug dealing. Thing is, Pfizer and Eli are a few billion ahead of you, and they can buy your death with the same half-cent it costs them to make a pill.

Mr. Robot: You wanna get into billboards? Download Photoshop. Make yourself a cute portfolio. Stores, with the debt everyone's in, I'm sure they'll gladly give 'em to you, in which case, you'll just be owned by their banks. Trains are even more bankrupt, and don't even get me started on the NYPD. Even that blunt you wanna roll is gonna be marked up by Big Tobacco itself. Point is, this city's one big, fat credit card bill, and you wanna pay it, all so you can, what, be another suit with a mortgage? Unless you're after a monopoly on stupidity, please tell me you have more.

Fernando Vera: How much we talking?
Mr. Robot: Even asking that means you're thinking too small. Behind every great fortune, there lies a great crime. That is the corporate motto of these United States. You wanna oink-oink with all the other capitalist pigs? It's not about how much money. It's about robbing money itself...
Fernando Vera: And you can do that for me?

Elliot: I don't give a shit about money. I just wanna take it from them.

Mr. Robot: He's not supposed to know!
Elliot: Know what?

Mr. Robot: I can't protect you anymore...

Fernando Vera: This ain't a death. Elliot, you've been reborn.

Fernando Vera: ...And now that you know the truth... You can use it.

Fernando Vera: This shit you went through, most people don't know pain like that. They never will. And if they did, it would end them. But the people who dig in, the ones who keep surviving, those are the ones you can't beat. Those are the ones no one can beat. Because once you've weathered a storm like yours... You become the storm. You are the storm. And it's the rest of the world that needs to run for cover.

Elliot: I just... I don't wanna be alone anymore.

Fernando Vera: ...All because little bitch saw the truth. That bat may have been made to play ball, but that wasn't its purpose. Nuh-uh.

Fernando Vera: See, Ms. Krista, we all have a purpose in this world, and it's our lot in life to wait for the cosmos to reveal what that is. But you don't have to look no more... 'Cause for you, that day has come.

Fernando Vera: I'm gonna break Elliot... and you gonna be my aluminum bat.

Elliot: What I'm about to tell you is gonna sound... A little crazy.

Mr. Robot: We used to have a code. Lines we would not cross, parameters we set. Those seem to have been seriously modified. Question is, can we bring those boundaries back? Or is it like he said, too late?

Whiterose: It's time he learns we're on the same side.

Elliot: You needed a job. They were paying well. That's how they do it. That's their business model. They back everyone into a corner until all that's left is for us to compromise ourselves.

Olivia Cortez: How many has it been, Elliot? How many people have had to suffer because of you? Was it worth it?

Olivia Cortez: Merry Christmas to you too.

Olivia Cortez: You know, I may work for monsters... But you are one. And you're the worst kind, because you don't even know it.

Fernando Vera: I got to come at him on the same level I find myself, and... and breaking him only gets you so far. I got to break him so I can build him up. I need to wound his soul so I can be the one to heal him. That is how you own a nigga.

Fernando Vera: What am I gonna find there?
Krista: Mr. Robot.
Fernando Vera: What's that?
Krista: That... is how you'll break him.

Janice: Dominique?...

Janice: Oh, don't worry, I'm not gonna kill you. You are still far too useful to us for that. But this is going to be so painful for you...

Mr. Robot: Here we go again, off to play the hero... But is that even who we are anymore?

Mr. Robot: We just watched him destroy someone's life and none of us did a thing about it.

Whiterose: I hope you enjoy your last Christmas, my dear Elliot.

Mr. Robot: How ya doin', Freddy? Not too good? That's okay. I get it. Jerking off to underage girls on live video chats is one thing. When it's played back, though, kinda loses its magic.

Mr. Robot: We are walking into some fucking hillbilly shit here.

Elliot: Are you okay?
Darlene: Is that a joke? We're in a fucking barn out in the middle of nowhere with a handful of psychos. "No" is the answer.

Irving: Miss. Stop talking. Hm?

Irving: Oh, no, no, don't get too worked up, Miss. Just look at the sky. Take a deep breath. Try to enjoy the fresh air...

Irving: Oh, don't mind that. We're retiring this shit-stain. And you're taking his place. You work for the Dark Army now.

Irving: Now, forgive me while I take a moment to center myself. This next bunch... These are for me.

Elliot: Seven days ago, the Russian government hired you to hack the DNC... Two days before that, you bribed the president of South Korea to allow backdoors in all of their military networks...

Grant: Well, we can survive a leak. You can't survive a bullet through your throat.

Grant: You're very sure of yourself. You are just one hacker. What makes you believe that you are better than an army of people exactly like you?

Grant: I'm sorry, Mr. Alderson. You're good at playing games. But this was simply the wrong hand to play.

Mr. Price: Pettiness. It was a dig at me.

Leon: You made an offer, cuz. Now it's time to pay up.
Mr. Robot: Please tell me you're not bluffing.

Mr. Price: I'm afraid your only move here... Accept that you've been conned.

Leon: I've always had faith in you, cuz.Do your thing...
Mr. Price: ...Find a way to live with what you did.

Mr. Robot: What do we do now?
Elliot: Undo the hack.

Elliot: They won't win. Because one good thing came out of all of this. They showed themselves, the top 1% of the 1%, the ones in control, the ones who play God without permission. And now I'm gonna take them down. All of them.

Mr. Robot 3×5

Tyrell: The things I did, the things I sacrificed, I earned my freedom. That's the least they could give me.
Mr. Robot: Horseshit. You're being added to a collection of puppets.
Tyrell: No puppet, no puppet. You're the puppet!
Mr. Robot: Wake up! You made a deal with a force that's bigger than you! When the time comes, they're gonna ask you to pay what they feel you owe them!

Mr. Robot: Who's the one who said we were gods, huh? Time to grow up. There are no gods. Our closest deities are a society of the richest, most influential men in existence... Men who fuck over the rest of us for profit, for fun, and then leave us in the streets for dead.

Irving: What the fuck is Stage Three?

Irving: Since when do I take orders from you?
Elliot: If you don't move on this, it'll be on you to tell your employer why you fucked with their timeline.

Elliot: Angela, I want to help you, but you got to explain to me what you think is happening.

Mr. Price: Oh, Wellick, Wellick. It's not that I'm out of moves. It's that you're not worth one.

Mr. Price: World catastrophes like this, they aren't caused by lone wolves like you. They occur because men like me allow them. You just happened to stumble into one of them.
Mr. Robot: No, no. I ran the operation! I pushed the button! I am the one...
Mr. Price: There you go again. "I, I, I..." You're still thinking like a lone wolf.
Mr. Robot: Why don't you tell me how I should be thinking?
Mr. Price: Like a leader!
Mr. Robot: I am a leader!
Mr. Price: Then where are your followers?

Mr. Price: You can't force an agenda, Mr. Alderson. You have to inspire one.

Angela: Don't overthink this.

eps3.7_dont-delete-me.ko

Mr. Robot 3×8

Cinema Theater Announcer: Welcome. Your movie will begin shortly. ..... Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

Elliot: When you delete something, you're making a choice to destroy it. To never see it again. You choose to delete because you need to free up space. Because you don't want it anymore. Because it no longer holds value.

Elliot: Deletion. When you make that decision, there's always that moment of hesitation. That annoying, "Are you sure?" dialogue box. And then you have to make a call. Yes or no. Yes means ridding myself and the world of Mr. Robot forever. That includes you.

Mohammed: What's "Back to the Future?" Can we see "The Martian" instead?
Elliot: Are you kidding? First of all, "The Martian" looks like shit. Second of all, you've never seen "Back to the Future"?

Mohammed: It looks like an old movie.
Elliot: You don't understand. Today's the day that Marty travels into the future. I've wanted to see this movie on this day since I was your age. So weird that it's today...

Elliot: This is the best way to eat popcorn. Trust me.

Mohammed: So, what is this film about, anyway?
Elliot: It's hard to explain... It's about going into the future to change the past, then coming back into an alternate present day.
Marty Mcfly Cosplayer: No, uh, you can't go into the future to change the past. It's way heavier than that. He goes into the future to change the future. But that allows Biff to change the past, which changes the future again.
Lorraine Cosplayer: No, no, it's much simpler than that. It's about how one mistake can change the world.
Mohammed: Are you sure we can't see "The Martian?"

Mohammed: But "The Martian" has 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Elliot: That's because most critics have shitty taste.

Elliot: "War of the Worlds," huh?
Bo: Why not?
Elliot: 'Cause it's about the end of the world?
Bo: No, that's incorrect. Things get a little fakakta for a while, but at the end, humans actually persevere.

Elliot: It wasn't your fault. Or hers. It was mine. All of it. So don't blame her or yourself. You can blame me.
Mohammed: You know, you talk about yourself a lot.

Mohammed: ....And then make everyone be nice to me.
Elliot: So you'd be a dictator.
Mohammed: What's a dictator?
Elliot: It's like a really bad President.

Elliot: I'll go. But before I do, you should probably change your corporate email password. Using your street address, even if it's an old one, isn't the smartest... Don't feel special. I hack everyone.

Elliot: ...And we thought the harder we closed them, the stronger our wishes would be. And even though they never came true, we still liked doing it. Because the ending was never our favorite part, anyway. It was the wishing.

Angela: No matter what happens, we'll be okay.

Elliot: That's the thing about deletion... It's not always permanent.

Mr. Robot 3×7

Leon: If nothing else, "Knight Rider" should've won a fucking statue for his dope ass theme song. I mean, the shit just stays with you. Stuck in my head right now, in fact.

Elliot: .... What--what-- what we both may have done, I don't know if I can say it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I don't know if I can say it. ....

Mr. Robot: Why do we have to keep going through a middleman? Why can't he just speak to me himself?

Mr. Robot: You wanna know what's really going on? Look around, sweetheart. I'm not the only one under their thumb. They're manipulating everything, always, just to line their own pockets, to have total control... But that's the conspiracy, man.

Krista: So you are a supporter of Five/Nine?
Mr. Robot: Supporter? I was no supporter. I was the architect!

Angela: They're gonna be okay, right?
Darlene: Who's that?
Angela: All those people who died. Do you think that they're gonna be okay?

Trenton: Besides, what are you even doing on J-Date? You're not even Jewish. And doesn't sound like she is, either.
Mobley: I told you, my 23andMe said I'm 6% Ashkenazi, and for your information, her full name is Juanita Rosenberg.

Angela: Told you. Everyone's okay again. Everyone's gonna be okay.

Mr. Price: Why come after me?
Whiterose: Think back on that fateful night...

Mr. Price: No! You give me the real reason, motherfucker. ... What in God's name do you hope to gain?
Whiterose: The opportunity to teach a lesson.

Mr. Price: You had to destroy so much! Why?!
Whiterose: Because, Phillip... I had to ask you twice.

Leon: I kinda like you two. You guys are funny, in a George-Elaine kinda way.

Irving: See, kid, that's been your mistake the entire time, thinking this whole thing's about your silly little plan. No, your revolution was only allowed to happen 'cause it was bought and paid for by people like them.

Irving: Face it, no matter how hard you try... That's always the end result.

Irving: You see what I mean?... Literally nothing can stop these shindigs, not thousands dead across the country, not a lifeless mistress in the guest bathroom.

Grant: In the Dark Army, we understand what it's like to believe in something. We're willing to die for our cause, without thinking twice, because we know we are all soldiers of something much larger. ...
Something else we all believe in: self-sacrifice, because when you serve a higher power, no act is more honorable than suicide. There is no greater gift one can offer the cause... Than everything.

Mr. Robot 3×6

Mom: You wanna know what I believe?
Angela: What?
Mom: That this isn't the end, that there's another world out there for both of us, that we'll see each other again. And we'll play and dance and... bake and sing. Doesn't that sound beautiful? Will you believe with me?

Elliot: You met White Rose? What the fuck is happening?!

Angela: I'm sorry, Mr. Alderson, but are you even allowed to be in this building?

Whiterose: All will be done by end of day. You have my word.

Price: Another fine choice of venue by Sergey...
Whiterose: Utterly tasteless.
Price: I passed that buffoon of an owner in the lobby. You're gonna take him up on his offer to go boating tomorrow?
Whiterose: Oh, please, don't remind me. Those swim trunks he insists upon wearing, a bit too snug... and a bit too short, wouldn't you say?
Price: Mm. I believe the appropriate term is "hanging brain."

Elliot: Kill process: when an unwanted process is running and you need to terminate it. I need to kill Stage 2 before it kills anyone else.

Darlene: I can see your big ass eye. Open up.

Darlene: You can lie to yourself all you want... But when you're alone at night, this shit will haunt you. Trust me on that.

Elliot: Does everybody know something I don't?

eps3.4_runtime-err0r.r00

Mr. Robot 3×5

Elliot: What am I even doing here? I'm arriving at work. I'm walking toward my cubicle. I'm just on autopilot, running my routine. Did my daily program crash? When code runs, it should run straight through without interruption, until all of its tasks have been completed. Unless something goes wrong. A runtime error. Sometimes, corrupted memory can lead to one. Is that what's happening to me right now? A runtime error?

Elliot: ...graphic sex talk. Thankfully, I'm able to tune most of it out. When people talk like this, they're either insecure, or they're full of shame. Which one do you think it is? ..... Shit. That was meant for you.

Elliot: Help me figure this out. Do not leave me. Stay focused.

Elliot: I'm going to attract attention. I have to remain calm. Take deep breaths. Be cool. Don't panic. Slow everything way down. Blend in. Look bored, broken. Get a blank office stare on my face. This is how they do it, isn't it?

Elliot: I wish I could see myself through your eyes. Don't you wish you could see yourself through mine? As we step through our code, line by line, debugging it to find the cause of our runtime error.

Elliot: ...And when you find yourself at the center of one of those storms, man, you just gotta breathe. Just let go. Get it done.

Darlene: Angela's been betraying you?
Elliot: So have you.

Irving: Well, they're not all ours. Just 'cause we lit the fuse doesn't mean we control the explosion.

Elliot: Angela... Is there something you wanna tell me?

eps3.3_m3tadatapar2

Mr. Robot 3×4

Elliot: Metadata. The story behind the data. Getting information is one thing, but how it was created... Where and by whom... Can often be illuminating...

Elliot: ...Like most pics people post on Instagram or Facebook, they don't realize they just gifted whatever social media site their camera type, phone model, name, and location, all hidden inside the photograph's metadata.

Elliot: Darlene... It's me.
Darlene: Yeah, well, that's a pretty complicated statement coming from you.

Irving: Mm. I know, I know, ribs for breakfast, but I can't pass 'em up when I'm here. You know, the key is in the moisture. Here, look. See that pink in there?.. Red Wheelbarrow understands. Mop sauce... That's their secret.

Irving: Layman's version... Two tablespoons dry rub to one cup apple cider vinegar, maybe beer, depends. Then use a brush to mop the ribs during the cooking process. Delicious.

Irving: Anyone tail you on the way here?
Angela: SDRs are now second nature to me. Did three cover stops, nothing.

Irving: Well, this is just a little Monday morning staff meeting update kind of thing.
Angela: Today's Friday.
Irving: It was a figure of speech.

Angela: I have to ask... Did Whiterose ever show you?
Irving: .... Yes.
Angela: And you believe in it?
Irving: Take a look at technology nowadays. It's mind-boggling. Hell, these ribs. You think it was even possible to cook 'em as deliciously as this a hundred years ago? I mean, who knows if this is even real meat? As tasty as they are, I wouldn't be surprised if they grew 'em in a lab. ... My point is, I think anything is possible.

Elliot: Whatever he does, it's not me.

What my partner's trying to say is you're on a path to a hell, and we're not talking the thousand virgins kind. We're talking sharing a prison shower with a few Allah-hating Nazis on the daily.

Tyrell: Well, maybe I can reason with them...
Mr. Robot: Never appeal to a man's better nature. He may not have one.
