& Virginia Goodman: In my 30-year career I’ve met two types of clients. & Virginia Goodman: Are you familiar with the concept of lateral thinking?.. It consists of changing the perspective from which one analyzes events. For example: in a wooden barn that is completely empty a man is found hanging from the middle of the main beam. The rope he hanged himself with is 10 feet long and his feet are 10 inches above the floor. The nearest wall is 20 feet away. You can’t climb the walls or reach the beam, yet the man hanged himself. How did he do it?... He climbed onto a block of ice that melted from the heat. This is our barn...
