Joker (2019)

Arthur Fleck: Is it just me, or is it getting crazier out there?

Social Worker: Arthur, you're on seven different medications. Surely, they must be doing something.
Arthur Fleck: I just don't want to feel so bad anymore.

Thomas Wayne: It makes total sense to me. What kind of coward would do something that cold-blooded? Someone who hides behind a mask. Someone who is envious of those more fortunate than themselves, yet they're too scared to show their own face. And until those kind of people change for the better, those of us who have made something of our lives will always look at those who haven't as nothing but clowns.

Arthur Fleck: You don't listen, do you? I don't think you ever really hear me. You just ask the same questions every week. "How's your job? Are you having any negative thoughts?" All I have are negative thoughts, but you don't listen anyway. I said, for my whole life, I didn't know if I even really existed. But I do. And people are starting to notice.

Murray Franklin: All right, now, this next comic describes himself as a lifelong Gotham resident who from a young age was always told that his purpose in life was to bring laughter and joy into this cold, dark world. Um... Okay.

Arthur Fleck: Hi. What's your name?
Bruce Wayne: I'm Bruce.
Arthur Fleck: Bruce. I'm Arthur.

Arthur Fleck: It's so hard to just try and be happy all the time...

Arthur Fleck: You know what really makes me laugh? I used to think that my life was a tragedy... but now I realize it's a fucking comedy.

Arthur Fleck: Murray, one small thing... When you bring me out, can you introduce me as Joker?

Murray Franklin: So, can you tell us about this look? When we spoke earlier, you mentioned that this look is not a political statement. Is that right?
Arthur Fleck: That's right, Murray. I'm not political. I'm just trying to make people laugh.
Murray Franklin: And how's that going for you?

Murray Franklin: You been working on any new material? You wanna tell us a joke? Yeah? Okay... He's got a book. A book of jokes... Take your time. We got all night.
Arthur Fleck: Okay, okay. Here's one... Knock, knock.

Arthur Fleck: You get what you fucking deserve!

Jody: It's a beautiful thing, alimony. You lose a husband... get a car.

Claire Spencer: Why is this so hard?
Dr. Drayton: ... It's hard because I'm a complete stranger... and you're talking about incredibly personal things. Besides, most people, when they come the first time, are wondering... if I think they're crazy. Don't worry. I'm required... to have three sessions before I can commit... That was a joke.

Claire Spencer: You. You think you're smart, don't you? You think you got away with it. Well, I know you killed her, you murdering son of a bitch!

Roxy: He doesn't have clothes on.
Buster: I know. He's free. ... He's trying to escape the way everything works... and do it his own way.

The Last Free Man: What do you actually do? What's your title?
Buster: Concierge.
The Last Free Man: Concierge.. Concierge comes from the Latin "conservus..." which means "fellow slave." Don't take that personally.

The Last Free Man: See... for millions of years, man roamed free under the stars. Only the strong and the lucky survived and procreated. It was absolutely brutal. All sex was rape. You know the drill.
Buster: I don't.
The Last Free Man: It was, until one day Eve flipped the script. She introduced Adam to her fruit, which is really just code for clitoris. And the whole system got rebooted, bong, the first inversion. Little by little, we started to build civilization in binary... logic, rules, inputs and outputs. But see, there's a catch. The better the system... the more trap it is for the individual. We've walled ourselves in.

Buster: I'd always wanted to know what it's like to go fishing in the ocean...

The Last Free Man: The machine's designed that way. Dangles a carrot so you keep trying. But you'll never taste it, no way, not if you play by the rules.

Buster: It's coming. The inversion is coming.

The Last Free Man: When the inversion happens, everything will seem upside down, reality shifts. What's right is wrong, what's wrong is gonna be right.

Mr. Bowery: Santa?
Mrs. Bowery: Are we being robbed?

Whiterose: You were looking for Minister Zhang? He isn't here. He's dead. There is only Whiterose...

Mr. Robot: You go down this path, it'll never end. It'll always be something else. Another symbol to destroy, more people to save. This is an endless war. At a certain point, we gotta move on.

Elliot: I'm not shutting you out. I want to do this one on my own.

Whiterose: Elliot, please. Don't make me laugh.

Whiterose: On the contrary, it is my love for people that drives me. It always has been, because I know, deep in every person's heart... They are trying to be good. They were just dealt a bad hand by a world unfit for us so please don't make me fucking laugh and accuse me of hating people when you, Elliot, wear that hate like a badge of honor!

Elliot: You're right. I hate people. I'm scared of them. I've been scared of them practically my whole life. People I loved... people I trusted... have done their absolute worst to me. And for a long time, that's all I ever knew. So, yeah, I called my group fsociety, because you know what? Fuck society. Society deserves to be hated for everything you said they did and more.

Elliot: But then there are some people out there... And it doesn't happen a lot. It's rare. But they refuse to let you hate them. In fact, they care about you in spite of it. And the really special ones, they're relentless at it. Doesn't matter what you do to them. They take it and care about you anyway. They don't abandon you, no matter how many reasons you give them. No matter how much you're practically begging them to leave. And you wanna know why? Because they feel something for me that I can't... They love me.

Elliot: And, yeah, you're right. We're all told we don't stand a chance, and yet we stand. We break, but we keep going, and that is not a flaw. That's what makes us. So, no, I will not give up on this world. And if you can't see why, then I speak for everyone when I say, fuck you!

Elliot: If I'm being honest... The worst thing in my life... Is also the best thing. I get up every morning, I play my records, I get ready, get my coffee, I come to work, I'm stuck in a repetitive, boring routine that feels endless. And, sure, I've imagined what it would be like to be someone with a more exciting life. A risk-taker. Someone more interesting. But in the end, I know I'm lucky to be where I am.

Prof. Loris Martini: During our last class,I explained that all authors are inspired by something someone wrote before them. The first rule for a great novelist is to copy.

Prof. Loris Martini: I also told you that evil is the driving force of a story. We must find a sacrificial victim, preferably someone who's innocent. The leading character must be evasive, everyone should suspect him. In literature people kill for hate, but in real life, the motive is usually money—

Agente Vogel: How would you feel if... I tell you I know who did it?... Because I killed the monster tonight.

Agente Vogel: A killer normally commits twenty errors, but is only aware of a third of them. Most of them are due to carelessness or inexperience. Santa: Marijuana?! This isn't what Santa meant! I got rid of liquor, and now you assholes are all just getting high?! God [bleep] damn it! Santa will just see about this!

Randy Marsh: Oh, great. My daughter had a marijuana problem, and now she has a problem with cocaine.

Commercial: .... During Christmas, don't you want your cocaine to be organic, pure, and locally grown? Cocaine that's grown locally has never been smuggled, so the only ass it's gonna be up is yours. Marijuana-Free Christmas Snow, now available from Tegridy Farms. It's cocaine that's farm-to-nostril.

Randy Marsh: Hold on tight, Towelie! We have to save Christmas!

Randy Marsh: Santa, that's not just cocaine. It's Tegridy cocaine.
Santa: Oh, don't give Santa that. Coke is coke.
Randy Marsh: That's not true. This cocaine is grown locally, by local people. Please, just try it.
Santa: ..... Wow, that is really clean.
Randy Marsh: Right?
Santa: It's, like, not speedy at all. It's really mellow. Honestly, I didn't know cocaine could be this pure. Wow.
Randy Marsh: Because it's grown here, on a farm. It's not cut with any nasty chemicals or harmful impurities.
Santa: No, you can tell it's really clean. Santa like-y. Maybe I have been a little too old‐fashioned in my thinking...

Santa: Jesus, you really got to try it... You cut out the middle men. Nobody dies in South America. Nobody dies from impurities.
Randy Marsh: Please, Jesus.

Jesus Christ: I think it's time for a little Christmas miracle...

Randy Marsh: Hey, guys. I'm so happy my Christmas Special turned out okay.
Santa: It's more than okay. Tegridy cocaine is smooth, and has a great finish.
Jesus Christ: I'll bet when coke becomes legal soon, everyone will want Tegridy cocaine.
Stephen Stotch: Well only one thing left to do now, gang. Let's go driving!

Commercial: All-natural Tegridy cocaine, endorsed and approved by Santa Claus. Available soon at a store near you.

The Mandalorian. Chapter 2: The Child

The Mandalorian 1×2

Kuiil: I thought you were dead.

Kuiil: This is what was causing all the fuss?

Kuiil: Stripped. Not destroyed. The Jawas steal. They don't destroy.

Kuiil: They really don't like you for some reason...

The Mandalorian: I'm a Mandalorian. Weapons are part of my religion.

The Mandalorian: The egg? What egg?

The Mandalorian: I have it. I've got "The Egg."

The Mandalorian: I could use a crew member of your ability, and I can pay handsomely.
Kuiil: I am honored, but I have worked a lifetime to finally be free of servitude.

Kuiil: Thank you for bringing peace to my valley. And good luck with The Child. May it survive and bring you a handsome reward. I have spoken.

Rambo: Last Blood (2019)

Gabrielle: They kept asking me why my uncle built these tunnels.
Rambo: What did you say?
Gabrielle: I said that you like digging and you're a little crazy.
Rambo: That's fair enough.

Gabrielle: Uncle John, I've heard the stories. I know you've been through a lot. But my world is a lot different from yours.
Rambo: No, it's not. It's worse.
Gabrielle: No, it's not. People don't just act bad for no reason.

Rambo: You don't know how bad it is. I know how black a man's heart can be. There's nothing good out there, Gabrielle.

Rambo: I haven't changed. I'm just trying to keep a lid on it.

Carmen Delgado: No, it doesn't work this way. There's too many of them. Are you crazy or what?
Rambo: I'm not thinking about that...

Rambo: What if you can't move on? What if you can't move on at all?

Rambo: I want revenge. I want them to know that death is coming... and there's nothing they can do to stop it.

Rambo: I want you to feel my rage, my hate, when I reach into your chest and rip out your heart! Like you did mine.

Rambo: You want to live? Follow the lights.

Rambo: This is what it feels like.

Rambo: All the ones I've loved are now ghosts. But I will fight... to keep their memories alive... forever.

Old Unresolved S...

Imposters 2×3

Shelly Cohen: Piece of advice, Louie. Don't trust a person whose only job is to slice open your guts.

Gail: Your assignment may seem a little morbid, but I promise, it'll be very helpful... I want you to imagine your own funeral. Who would be there, and what would they say about you?

Ezra: I actually feel grateful that Maddie Jonson happened to me. She taught me something incredibly important: that I was capable of real love... Here's what else I know. I will find love again... Because it's worth the risk and the pain.

Herman: You're... you're... you're in a hurry. It's very American. But... take a look around here, baby. Does this look like a drive-through?

Ezra: I didn't lie about anything. Except my name.
There is the lie of the things you don't say.

Rosa: .... So all three of you were married to her, and she took everything?

Ezra: We get ourselves to the border. The coyote smuggles us across.
Richard: Absolutely not. I'm not shoving a bag of coke up my ass. Not for you, not for anyone.
Ezra: That's a mule, Richard, not a coyote.

Black Butterfly (2017)

Paul: Well, yes, I need the money, but not at any cost, you know?

Laura: Actually, you're my first.
Paul: Your first, what?
Laura: My first victim.
Paul: That's okay. I don't mind.

Jack: We're all free men. We choose what we want. You did this to yourself.

Jack: Delias Kristianiae. Black Butterfly, from Indonesia. Very rare. Very hard to catch. Ironic, really.
Paul: Ironic?
Jack: Yeah, I had it done in prison.

Jack: Paul. It's just a story.

Jack: Come on. Get back to work.

Jack: You see how disorientated people get when their future is uncertain? They always tend to imagine the worst.

Jack: You're finally starting to show some fucking imagination!

Jack: Which actor should play me?

Paul: All right, Jack. This is how the story ends...

Jack: An innocent man would have just said, "I didn't do it."

The Mandalorian. Chapter 1

The Mandalorian 1×1

The Mandalorian: I can bring you in warm... Or I can bring you in cold.

The Mandalorian: No droids.

Mythrol: "Stay off the ice." That's the understatement of the millennium.

Mythrol: I like your ship. She's a classic. Razor Crest, am I right? Pre-Empire?

Mythrol: Is it true that you guys never take off your helmets?

The Mandalorian: I don't know if you heard, but the Empire is gone.

Kuiil: You are Mandalorian! Your ancestors rode the great Mythosaur. Surely you can ride this young foal.

Kuiil: I have spoken.

The Mandalorian: Droids...

IG-11: It appears we are trapped. I will initiate self-destruct sequencing.

IG-11: I will initiate self-destruct.
The Mandalorian: Do not self-destruct! We're shooting our way out.

IG-11: Beginning self-destruct countdown.

The Mandalorian: You know, you're not so bad. For a droid.
IG-11: Agreed.

Castle Rock 2×10

Ace: The end of them is the beginning of us.

Pop: They talked about a sound, what they call the schisma.
Ace: Yes, the sound of the Angel.

Pop: Castle Lake.
Ace: Something is special about the lake.
Pop: Yes. It's a door to other heres, other nows, other dimensions. Our Angel travels between them at his will.

Annie: Can I read to you?... "Misery Chastain had resided in Little Dunthorpe for all of her 16 years, and now, on the cusp of her 17th birthday, she wanted more. True to its name, Little Dunthorpe was meager in scope and bereft of possibility. Someday, she'd have occasion to reconsider her wanderlust, even to regret it. But today, the Sunday her Uncle Percy was destined to die and her exploits fated to begin, was not that day". Hmm. Good beginning...

Annie: Beautiful, isn't it?... I really think this could be it, Joy. The Laughing Place.

Joy: Oh, we have to get him to dedicate a book to you.
Annie: Of course he will. I'm his number one fan.

Trouble Maybe

Imposters 2×2

Maddie: And what is a normal life to you, Maddie Jonson?
Shelly Cohen: Do tell.
Maddie: I don't know, maybe something without lies and deceit.
Shelly Cohen: Sounds boring.

Richard: I'm just not gonna take money out of people's purses.
Ezra: That's the con.
Richard: That's not a con, okay? That's called stealing.

Richard: It's called honor, man. You get these ladies back to their room, and they look at you with those "I'm gonna masturbate about this for the rest of my life" eyes. What am I supposed to do?

Ezra: Nobody who gets conned is innocent. They all wanted something for cheap.
Jules: Now you're starting to sound like our ex-wife.

Jules: Just, no more lying to each other, okay? Or else we're just deceiving, lying little Maddies.

Ezra: So I guess we need a new code. A post-Maddie "we won't be Maddie to each other" code. What do we call it?
Jules: El codigo de las ex-esposas.
Richard: ... Condom in the soup?
Jules: Code of the ex-wives.

Jules: No lying about money, right?.. No lying about sex... No lying about drinking... No lying about emotional eating.

Rosa: Thank you, gods above, for sending me an artist, and not just a thief.
