Silicon Valley 1×3

& Gavin: The greatness of human accomplishment has always been measured by size. The bigger, the better. Until now. Nanotech. Smart cars. Small is the new big. In the coming months, Hooli will deliver Nucleus, the most sophisticated compression software platform the world has ever seen. Because if we can make your audio and video files smaller... we can make cancer smaller. And hunger. And AIDS.

& Richard: What they have is like Pied Piper, but not as good. People will see that.
Dinesh: Not if they get to market before us. Inferior products win out all the time.
    Gilfoyle: Like Jesus over Satan.
Dinesh: I was going to say VHS over Beta.

& Dinesh: That’s not really our logo is it? It looks like a guy sucking a dick and he’s got another dick tucked behind his ear for later. Like a snack dick. It does.
Richard: No, it’s... it’s Pied Pipe... Here, put them on.

& Erlich: Richard, a name defines a company. It has to be something primal, something that you can scream out during intercourse. Like Aviato.

& Arnold: I’m not falling for that phony, mumbley-mouth, googly-eyed routine again. If you’re this tech billionaire, why did I give you the name Pied Piper for next to nothing?

& Arnold: Fucking billionaires.

& Dinesh: Hey, Jared, you know who else is Canadian? Justin Bieber, the Hitler of music. ...
Jared: You know, Hitler actually played the bassoon. So, technically, Hitler was the Hitler of music.
    Dinesh: ....

& Jared: All right, what about Smaller, spelled “S-M-L-L-R”? You know, because we make things smaller, and this would be like a smaller version of the word “smaller”.

& Richard: I have no idea what I’m doing.
Erlich: Neither did Zuckerberg when he was running Facebook at 19. You think he had any real-world business experience? No. None. But he was such a tough negotiator that now all of his friends are suing him. How awesome is that? And Steve Jobs? He just took a shit-ton of hallucinogens. What a coincidence. Maybe something that you could actually do.

& Jared: What about mine-imize, like “minimize” but “mine”.

& Richard: What are we gonna do?
Jared: If you keep screaming your name, it forces the assailant to acknowledge you as a human.

& Fred: I’m gonna have another cup of coffee.
Peggy: You really put the “free” in freelancer, don’t you?

& Wayne: They pay me to think about the four Ps... price, product, place, and promotion.
Joan: That’s a smart way to think about it...
Wayne: I have a degree in business. It’s not a science, but we try to make it one. And advertising is just a small piece of the marketing mixture...

& Joan: It does sound like the conversation is getting bigger than the two of us.
Wayne: There’s someone above you and someone below you and everybody’s buying everybody dinner.

& Don: I like what you did with it.
Megan: I love it. But my next house is gonna have a pool. Our next house.

& Don: You sure you don’t want to move into a more populated area? It’s like Dracula’s castle up here.

& Pete: Believe it or not, Brooklyn Avenue is a street in East Los Angeles. The New Yorkers here, they brought as much as we need. But the bagels are terrible.

& Pete: The city is flat and ugly and the air is brown, but I love the vibrations.
Don: You not only dress like a hippie, you talk like one.

& Pete: So although Beverly Hills has the patina of show business, it’s really just accountants, lawyers, and dentists. And you can walk to lunch, although I don’t.

& Joan: Well, when I started working, my goodness... 16 years ago, all of our clients were on commission. We started discussing a fee-based model three years ago. Now we’re at 50-50.

& — Don’t tell me you enjoy flying.
Don: I fly a lot... And I’m always hoping I was seated next to, well, someone like you... instead of a man with a hairpiece eating a banana. But why would I expect anything else?
    — You You can blame Madison Avenue for that.

& Lou: Why are you making this so hard? Open the door and walk in. You do not need to parachute in through the ceiling.
Peggy: But I don’t mind. I just want to give you my best.
Lou: I don’t know, Peggy. I guess I’m immune to your charms.

& Peggy: Well, I’m tired of fighting for everything to be better. You’re all a bunch of hacks who are perfectly happy with shit. Nobody cares about anything. No one wants things to be better, I got it. I’ll just stand out here all by myself!

& Fred: Why don’t you stop this Cyrano bit and march your ass in there and get us both a job?
Don: Because I have a job.
Fred: It’s been two months. Nobody’s called, right?

& Underwood: A little sibling rivalry isn’t such a bad thing, especially between adopted boys. They either push each other to be the best versions of themselves, or one of them gets booted back to the orphanage.

& Tusk: America can be just as dangerous as Iran, Ms. Sayyad...

& Claire: Freddy is dangerous because you care too much. When we care too much, it blinds us. ...
Underwood: If I ignore this, if I do nothing—
Claire: It’s not nothing. Staying focused requires strength.

& Freddy: You was a good customer, that’s it. You ain’t gotta pretend to be my friend.

& Underwood: Do you think I’m a hypocrite?.. Well, you should. I wouldn’t disagree with you. The road to power is paved with hypocrisy... and casualties. Never regret.

& Underwood: As for Raymond, we have to strike back hard and fast. I want him obliterated.
Claire: More than that. Let’s make him suffer.
Underwood: ’I don’t know whether to be proud or terrified. Perhaps both...

& Curtis: We go forward.

& Wilford: It is easier for someone to survive on this train... if they have some level of insanity.

& Wilford: We need to maintain the proper balance of anxiety and fear... chaos and horror in order to keep life going. If we don’t have that, we need to invent it.

& Father Woodhull: Legacy is everything. If you wish to preserve ours, then stay away from those who’ve already chosen to sully theirs. The Smiths, the Strongs, the Tallmadges...

& Abraham: Ben, who is the enemy?

& Major Hewlett: I view your crime as a mere symptom of a more serious disease that is afflicting these colonies... Anarchy.
    Abraham: You mean self-rule.
Major Hewlett: I mean chaos masquerading as freedom. An excuse for criminal activity and every man for himself.

& Abraham: So, we all must pay a tax. The question is just who will collect?

& Abraham: I, Abraham Woodhull... do sincerely and faithfully promise and swear that I will bear true allegiance to His Majesty, King George III.

Holmes: I did, and I was. But that was before I was able to properly assess it, and upon tasting it...
    Watson: You tasted the anthrax?

& Holmes: Feel free to express your jubilation at any time.

& Holmes: His death is, um... blindsided me. And it bothers me that it bothers me.

& Holmes: Next month, I’ll have two years sober. Alistair was sober for over three decades...

& Watson: Hmm... That didn’t solve anything. Weird, right?

& Alister: Sherlock Holmes, when did you become such a cliché? Standing over a grave, head heavy with dark thoughts... If this were a scene in a play, I’d have refused to perform it.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

& Cheryl: God, you’re noteworthy.
Walter: I just live by the ABCs. Adventurous, brave, creative.

& Benjamin Buttons’ Walter: My little heart is no bigger than a quarter, but it’s as full as Fort Knox.
Benjamin Buttons’ Cheryl: I love you, baby. Not like “baby,” like, because you look like a little weird baby-man.

& Edna Mitty: I told you. I told you in the produce aisle. Oh, maybe you were... Odessa, what is it you call it when he goes into one of his little places?
    Odessa: Oh, zoned out.

& O’Connell: Beautiful things don’t ask for attention.

& Walter: When are you gonna take it?
O’Connell: Sometimes I don’t. If I like a moment... I mean, me, personally... I don’t like to have the distraction of the camera. I just want to stay... in it.

& Walter: Do you know our motto?
    Ted: LIFE..... I’m lovin’ it?
    Walter: That’s... no. That’s-that’s McDonald’s.

The Relationship Diremption

The Big Bang Theory 7×20

& Sheldon: We happen to live in a golden age of television.

& Sheldon: Do you think he’s right? Am I wasting my life on a theory that can never be proven?
Howard: .... Maybe. But how great is Game of Thrones?

& Penny: Hey, you’re up early.
    Sheldon: I couldn’t sleep.
Penny: I told you those Walking Dead pillowcases were a bad idea.

& Penny: Is something bothering you?
Sheldon: Yes, but you wouldn’t understand.
Penny: Oh, come on, try me.
Sheldon: All right. I’ve devoted the prime of my life to string theory and its quest for the compactification of extra dimensions. I’ve got nothing to show for it, and I feel like a fool.
Penny: Okay. I get it... I mean, not all the jibberjabber in the middle, but...

& Sheldon: It suggests that I set these on fire, but the smell of burning books reminds me of church picnics in East Texas.

& Amy: What did you do?!
Penny: I gave him a new look. It’s cute, huh?
Amy: Yeah, it’s cute. That’s the problem. I don’t need other girls to see him walking around like sex on a stick.
Sheldon: She’s right... I’m too hot.

& Howard: Oh, crap, I know that girl.
    Bernadette: How?
Howard: In a bad way, very bad. Whatever you hear tonight, just remember I love you.

& Penny: Wait. What’s wrong with geology?
Sheldon: Let me put this in a way you’ll understand, Penny. You remember how you explained to me that the Kardashians aren’t real celebrities? Well, geology is the Kardashians of science.

& Penny: Okay, how about we toast your newfound freedom?
Sheldon: Ah, normally I refrain from alcohol, but since my cerebral cortex is twiddling its proverbial thumbs, why not soak it in grape juice that’s been predigested by a fungus?

& Howard: Look, I have felt terrible about this for years, and I’m glad I have the opportunity to tell you just how sorry I am.
Emily: It’s fine. All my friends love this story. They call you Clogzilla.
Raj: Get it? Because you clogged up her bathroom like a radioactive monster!
Howard: Yeah, yeah, I get it.
    Bernadette: Howie...
Howard: Well, hey, it’s not like cotton candy comes out of you.

& Amy: Come on, let’s get you to bed. You’ve had a lot to drink.
    Sheldon: No more than Penny.
    Amy: That’s what I’m saying.

& Bernadette: So, Emily, why did you decide to specialize in dermatology?
Emily: I like cutting people with knives, and all the other jobs where you get to do that are illegal.
    Bernadette: You’re kidding, right?

& Sheldon: Oh, no. What have I done?

& Sheldon: Hawkman! It’s your old buddy Sheldonoscopy! How come you didn’t pick up the phone?! Oh, right. My bad.

& Howard: Turns out I’d already met the girl Raj is seeing when I did a number on her bathroom... And that number was two.
