& David Bronstein, The Trotsky's Dad: You're cheerleading? For what? For your brother being psychotic?
& Leon: Fascist.
Achmed: What did you say?
Leon: Uh, fascist. He's a fascist. What is he?
Achmed: Fascist.
Leon: Thank you.
& David Bronstein: Uh, Leon... I wonder if I could trouble you. I'm sorry to interrupt. Do you mind just giving me just a couple of minutes of your time up in the office to discuss something?
& Leon: You exploit your employees.
David: How? By employing them?
Leon: By running a business without any standardized labour laws in place. You, David, are acting as an agent of sabotage against all working people across the globe.
David: Sabotage? You wanna talk sabotage? What do you call talking my guys into missing a shipping deadline!
Leon: Progress.
David: You know what? I am not responsible for workers in the world everywhere. I am responsible for keeping this company in profit!
Leon: So this is how it happens...
David: How what happens?
Leon: How it ends between you and me, landowner!
David: What?! Land... Landowner? I lease the land! I don't know what you're talking about!
& Anne Bronstein, Leon's stepmother: I want you to take this.
Leon: I... I told you!
Anne: It's not Daddy's! It's mine. You're my only stepson that I love. And it's gonna kill me if I think that you're sleeping in a shelter with homeless people peeing on you.
Leon: Homeless people peeing on me?!?!
Anne: Yeah.
Leon: Jesus. Yeah, OK, Ma.
& Leon: You see, ever since I first heard about him, when I was a little boy, and then as I got older, I swear to you more and more things started making sense. And now, this... This whole... This is... What I'm about to say to you, I've never said aloud, aside from when I'm pretending that Gourevitch is interviewing me for The Paris Review. Uh... So, uh... I'm the reincarnation of Leon Trotsky. Uh, and you and I are gonna get married.
& David: Listen, you want to be just like him? I'm gonna make it really easy for you. This coming fall, you, Leon, just like this Leon, will be going to public school. {...}
Leon: I'm, uh... It's a good idea. It's... it's gonna be good for me. I... I love public stuff. This is public school. With all the public people.
& Tony: It's not a union. That's just the name.
Leon: All right, well, uh, what sort of legislative powers do you guys have as a council?
Nadza: Uh, none.
Tony: Uh, the power to organize a dance. You want to help?
& Leon 2 Alexandra: How heartbroken will Julian be when you break up with him for me?
& Leon: Are you my Stalin, Dwight?
& Leon: What... what time does your Ph. D. party finish?
Alexandra: Late. What is wrong with you?
Leon: I'm Trotsky. Uh, how late is late?
Alexandra: Um, we're not seeing each other tomorrow night, so...
Leon: But tomorrow is our anniversary.
Alexandra: Mmm, we don't have an anniversary.
Leon: Yes, we do. It's a week tomorrow that we first met.
& Laura: Remember that kid I was tutoring?..
Alexandra: You didn't! Timmy?!
Laura: I did.
Alexandra: How am I only hearing about this now, whore? What was it like?
Laura: Uh, well, let's put it this way. They fuck you very quickly but a lot.
The Stills - Don't Talk Down
& Dwight: Leon? A girl dressed as Ayn Rand just told me that you threw her out.
Leon: Yeah.
Dwight: And? Why?
Leon: This is a fascist-free zone, Dwight.

& Текст для чтения был сложный, порядок слов в предложении диковинный и витиеватый. Быстро, как он привык, читать его не получалось. Андрей понял, что прежде не читал такой японской литературы. {...}

Skins 1x2
Cassie
Season 1, Episode 2
& Anwar: I'm trying to pray to my god here, Cass.
Cassie: Oh... wow... Is he listening?
Anwar: I hope not. Otherwise he knows about all those pills I necked last night.
Cassie: Sing more quietly.
Anwar: Yup... Allahu Akbar.
& — 880 grams each.
Cassie: Neat*.
— That's over one-and-a-half kilos, right?
Cassie: 1,760.
— Sorted.
& Cassie: Oh, it was fun. Throwing all that food around. Just like, throwing it everywhere. Wow. Wow!
& Sid: How do you do it?
Cassie: What?
Sid: Come on, Cass. I mean you never eat anything. Your parents must notice or something.
Cassie: I dunno. I like you, Sid.
Sid: Oh... OK.
Cassie: So I'm going to show you. You have to do a lot of talking. I'm good at talking. You do that while you're cutting things up a lot. Then, questions. Where's your Student Card?
Sid: Sorry?
& Cassie: ... There you go. Job done.
Sid: That's impressive.
Cassie: Cheers.
Sid: But aren't you kind of, you know... lying to everyone?
Cassie: I'm so better. I got discharged from the clinic.
Sid: Seems a bit fucked up*.
Cassie: What?
Sid: I said just seems a bit fucked up, that's all.
Cassie: Oh, wow. But you see... It's like nobody's fucking business. And it's not exactly like anybody cares, so...
Sid: I care.
& Tony: Don't you ever wash?
Sid: That's like lipstick.
Tony: Yeah, man, the essence of woman. Well, one at least.
& Sid: I didn't have time.
Tony: Time? I've been home, showered, done my Chi, had a wank,
subtly undermined my dad, put new clothes on and here I am. With my English coursework.
Sid: English coursework. Oh, fuck!
Tony: Sometimes I wonder why you even bother to get up in the morning. You're such a complete fucking waste of time and... Ahh, shit!
Cassie: Wow, Tony. Bummer*. It looks like you pissed yourself.
& Angie: Tony! This is a room for female staff.
Tony: Yeah. The drier's broken in ours...
Sid: Ah, there you are. Jesus, we're in trouble! That crazy fucking dealer found us, Tony. Hi, Angie. We gotta do something. I mean, you could talk to him and... Oh, fuck!
Chris: Oh, you wankers. That was well funny, man. But someone's gonna have to apologize cos Kenneth's crying now so... Oh, Jesus Christ, Holy Mary, Mother of God! That's Angie! Don't look! Get out!
Angie: For fuck's sake! Fuck off! ... You still got it.
& Angie: You shouldn't go into the staff showers, Sid!
Sid: I know, I know. It was a crisis.
Angie: Well, it's just a bit embarrassing that's all. Actually, I'm pretty confident about my body...
Sid: No, I'm having a crisis.
Angie: Oh. Well, sometimes adult bodies can be a little overwhelming.
Sid: Oh, for Christ's sake, Angie, I don't care about your tits! I'm in deep, deep, deep shit.
& Angie: Well look, when it comes to debt, the best thing to do is to face up to it before it gets out of hand. All you have to do is go to the person you owe money to and calmly ask them to reschedule the payments.
Sid: Reschedule payments? So that's one ball now and then the balance next week.
Angie: Believe me, Sid, I'm a responsible adult.
Sid: I know. OK?
Angie: Now what was it, a phone or something?
Sid: Actually, Angie, it was three ounces of prime hydroponic skunk.
Angie: Shit!
Sid: Yeah, shit.
Angie: Go to the police?
Sid: They'll arrest me.
Angie: Give it back?
Sid: I lost it in the harbor.
Angie: Keep your head down?
Sid: He's got my student ID card.
Angie: Right. Right. OK.
Sid: Basically, I'm fucked, aren't I?
Angie: Yep.
Sid: Well, thanks, Angie, I feel a lot better now, yeah.
Angie: Look, give me a moment. I'm sure I can come up with something... No, sorry. Chris!
Chris: Mm-hm.
Angie: You've come to apologize, right?
Chris: Huh?
Angie: To say sorry.
Chris: Oh, yes. Erm, yes, I'm sorry. Sorry I saw your boobs. Sorry I saw your bum. Erm, sorry I saw your...
Angie: Apology accepted, Chris.
& Cassie: Sid. Are you OK?
Sid: Bit fucked up as it goes.

Dinner for Schmucks (2/2)
Beginning
& Barry: Hey, Tim? The first night alone is always the hardest. I can sleep in there with you if you want.
Tim: No, thank you.
Barry: Hey, just don't think about the fact that you can't sleep.
Because then you're sunk. Then you just start thinking, "What's going on?", your mind starts reeling*. "Where's Julie? Oh, she's with Kieran. Is he a better lover than I am? Yes, he is." Don't think about that. Get those thoughts out of your head.
& Barry: Tim? Tim! Tim! Hi, Tim? We switched phones. I need to talk to you. Julie has to go to that brunch! OK. ... Hi, Tim, me again. I just realized you can't get my messages. My password is P-A-S-S-W-O-R-D. OK. ... Oh, God! You can't get that message, either! Why am I...?!
& Darla: I don't think you're a very nice person, Tim. Just stay out of my life. And I'm keeping the ring.
Barry: I think that was really good for her.
& Tim: Julie, there's something I need to tell you...
Barry: Kieran has gonorrhea!
Kieran: No, I don't.
Barry: You might.
Kieran: I don't.
Barry: Well, she does. She has gonorrhea.
Tim: What?!
Barry: Don't sleep with her!
Tim: She doesn't.
Barry: Are you sure?
Tim: Yes.
Barry: Because you can get it from riding the bus.
Tim: No, you can't.
Barry: Yes, you can, Tim. That's how my wife got it.
Tim: Barry, no one here has gonorrhea.
Barry: I do. I have gonorrhea. I got gonorrhea from my wife, who got it from a bus seat. And no one should sleep with me.
& Kieran: The thing about a goat is, it never denies itself what it's hungry for. A goat will eat anything.
Barry: A goat could probably eat a bike?
Kieran: A goat could eat itself, if it was driven to it. I'm just a goat... who's halfway through eating itself.
Barry: Just to be clear, what exactly are we talking about?
Kieran: Everything.
& Fender: Are you enjoying this?
Müeller: Yes. Such a pleasure to laugh at the misfortune of others.
& Barry: ... So dare to dream. Dream your wildest dreams. You can climb the highest mountain. You can drown in a teacup, if you find a big enough teacup. And if somebody tells you that you can't do something, you say, "Yes, I can. 'Cause I'm doing it right now!"
& Caldwell: Therman was telling me about some of his techniques for mind control, and I gotta say, I was pretty blown away.
Therman: Yes. The brain has pressure points, just like any other muscle. Apply those pressure points, and the brain will obey your every command.
& Therman: Barry. Look into my eyes, Barry. Barry! Where is your wife, Barry?.. Tell us. Where is she?.. Come on, Barry, tell us.
Barry: Your house?
Therman: Yes! And, tell us, Barry... why did your wife leave you?.. Spit it out of your mouth.
Barry: No.
Therman: Say it!
Barry: No.
Therman: Say it, boy!
Barry: I lost her clitoris.
Therman: That's right.
Robin: You lost her clitoris?
Barry: She got mad because I couldn't find it. Well, you know... I said, "it's probably in your purse," because nine times out of ten when she loses something, that's where they end up.
Robin: Barry, do you even know what that is?
Barry: I don't know what half the stuff in her purse is.
& Tim: If it's any consolation, Therman will probably win first prize.
Barry: He'll have that, too. And he'll be able to lord it over me for the rest of my life.
Tim: Barry, first prize is the biggest idiot.
Barry: I know. That guy beats me at everything. He just...
& Barry: I'm going to go lay eggs in his brain.
& Barry: He slept with Martha at my house! I was under the bed the whole time. What an idiot!
& Müeller: This has become a fiasco!
Barry: Wait a second... the Swedish guy who thinks he's a German! He's an idiot, too! Müeller!
& Müeller: It is my wife's favorite finger! Please get it back now!
& Barry: Julie, I will handle this.
Barry: Kieran... since the dawn of ancient times, men and women have striven to find the perfect mate. And, once in a while, a couple will meet and spark a passion that is so powerful, a thousand armies could not pull them apart. That is what you have with Julie. But Tim got there first. And if Julie leaves, it will kill him. People can die of broken hearts. I know. It almost happened to me. And because of that... you may see Julie no more. You may talk to Julie no more. You may look upon Julie's face... no more.
Julie: OK, but we work together, so...
Barry: What part of "no more" do you not understand?
& Barry: Au revoir, Kieran. Be kind to your birds and your goats!

The Big Bang Theory 4x12
The Bus Pants Utilization
Season 4, Episode 12
& Howard: Ma, Ma, calm down. Listen to me... I know it says 'click with the mouse', but on a laptop, the trackpad is the mouse. Now, put your finger on it. ... Doesn't matter which finger! ... Good choice. Now move it down to your e-mail icon. ... Yeah, the little envelope. What do you mean, "What does it look like?" It looks like an envelope! ... Fine, you don't like the computer, don't use it! ... Sure, we can exchange it for a salad spinner. Good-bye!
Raj: That's a Hanukkah present you're regretting, huh?
Sheldon: I won't say that all senior citizens who can't master technology should be publicly flogged*, but if we made an example of one or two, it might give the others incentive to try harder.
& Leonard: I had a great idea. You know how we're always having to stop and solve differential equations, like when you're doing Fourier analysis, or using the Schrodinger equation?..
Sheldon: Howard doesn't. He's only an engineer.
& Leonard: I checked the App Store. No one is doing handwriting-recognition differential equation solving.
Sheldon: Oh, dear Lord, shush.
Leonard: What?
Sheldon: You have so few good ideas, Leonard. And you're just going to spill the beans in front of an outsider? ...........
Penny: Who, me?
Howard: Sheldon, I don't think Penny cares about handwriting-recognition based differential...
Sheldon: The stars at night are big and bright
Deep in the heart of Texas...
& Sheldon: All right, I've taken the liberty of drafting these workflow charts
which outline our various duties and the path we will follow as we develop our ground-breaking new app.
Raj: Hey, why am I in charge of phone support? Seems a bit racist.
Sheldon: A customer service representative with an Indian accent will create the impression we're a vast enterprise that uses overseas call centers.
Raj: Oh. Very clever. But still racist.
Sheldon: Duly* noted, Steve from Wichita.
& Howard: Why am I listed as your executive assistant?
Sheldon: Because the word "secretary" has fallen into disrepute. FYI, my mother's birthday is coming up. I'm going to need you to pick up a present.
& Leonard: Okay, we need to stop for a minute. ... Sheldon, you're not in charge. It's my idea. I'm in charge.
Sheldon: Oh, of course you are. Look at the organizational chart.
You're clearly listed as founder.
Leonard: Well, yes, and you're listed as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Sheldon: You missed Chief Science Officer, Chairman of the Board, and Head of the Secret Santa Committee.
& Leonard: I am in charge of this project!
Raj: Ooh. Leonard's going all alpha nerd on Sheldon's ass...
& Sheldon: All right. All right, I'm not going to argue with you. Sheldon Cooper is nothing if not a team player. Dr. Hofstadter, you have the conn.
Leonard: Thank you. I thought we might start by talking about the user interface.
Sheldon: Oh, dear Lord, we're doomed.
& Sheldon: Good one, boss.
What?
Sheldon: This diagram. I assume you were opening with a joke. It certainly buoyed up* this employee's esprit de corps.
Leonard: It's not a joke. It's the real design!
Sheldon: In that case, may I offer 27 little tweaks to make it slightly less embarrassing?
Leonard: Sheldon, I think this will work. Let's just try it my way.
Sheldon: Oh, I'm-I'm sorry. I assumed that you wanted candid* truth-telling from your employees, but I realize now, you want the mindless nattering* of complacent* yes-men.
Leonard: Are you done?
Sheldon: If you say so, boss.
& Howard: ... So right now, this button-press event is just triggering a dummy procedure call...
Sheldon: How about this for the app name? The Surprisingly Helpful Equation-Linked Differential Optimized Numerator.
Raj: So it spells "Sheldon."
Sheldon: Does it? A happy accident.
& Sheldon: If we're not going to give it a name, can we at least give it a secret code designation? {...} The atomic bomb was The Manhattan Project. Windows 95 was originally Project Chicago. For our app, I would humbly suggest Project Nodlehs.
Leonard: That's just "Sheldon" backwards.
Sheldon: Another happy accident.
Sheldon: All right, I suppose I'll go put on my bus pants.
Leonard: What the hell are bus pants?
Sheldon: They are pants one wears over one's regular pants when one sits on bus seats that other people have previously sat on.
& Raj: Mm. Last night, I had a dream we got so rich from the app, you and I bought matching side-by-side mansions. But... there was a secret tunnel connecting your front yard to my back yard. What do you think that means?...
Howard: It means after we play handball, I'm showering at home.
& Penny: Sheldon, I'm gonna make some cocoa. Do you want some?
Sheldon: Do you make it with milk or water?
Penny: Milk.
Sheldon: Real cocoa?
Penny: That's what it says on the packet.
Sheldon: Do you have those little marshmallows?
Penny: No, sorry.
Sheldon: Well, I suppose it's appropriate.
Penny: What does that mean?
Sheldon: A disappointing drink for a disappointing day.
& Raj: Hey, look at this. 20 people from the university have already signed up for our private beta.
Leonard: I'm telling you, the Lenwoloppali Differential Equation Scanner meets a real need. We've got a hit.
Raj: What do you think we should sell it for?
Howard: Well, based on the fact that our potential market is about 70 or 80 guys, and you want a submarine... I'd say about a million dollars a pop.
Raj: Well, what if we put out a lite version for half a million? You know, get the word of mouth going.
& Penny: What if I got Sheldon to apologize and promise to behave?
Leonard: Then I guess we would let him back on the app team, and while we're doing that, you could take an aerial tour of L.A. on your flying pig.
Penny: Okay. Wait right here.
& Penny: Okay. Um... How about this? You know how you're always trying to learn about sarcasm?
Sheldon: No.
Penny: No?
Sheldon: I was being sarcastic.
Penny: Oooh. Good for you! So all you have to do here is say you're sorry to Leonard, but say it sarcastically.
& Leonard: ... Okay, now that you're back on the team, let's get you caught up...
Sheldon: Before you begin, let me say again how deeply sorry I am for my earlier behavior and how much I respect and admire your leadership.
Leonard: Thank you.
Sheldon: ........ O_O
& Leonard: So as you can see, not only can you store your favorite equations, but you can forward them to your friends or post them on Facebook right from the app.
& Penny: Okay, these are Uggs. These are Crocs. These are knockoff* Manolo Blahniks.
Sheldon: Booored.
Penny: Look, you said it yourself, we have to create a database before you can write an alga-thingy.
Sheldon: Algorithm. You see, Penny, Alan Turing defined an algorithm...
Penny: Booored. Okay. These are Steve Maddens. .........

Dinner for Schmucks (1/2)
& Susana: At least Jacobson made it up on the seventh floor. It smells like cabbage on this floor.
Tim: That's the smell of dead dreams.
Susana: I go to the club at night and people are like, "Hey, who's wearing the coleslaw*?" Do you know how hard it is to get laid when you smell like coleslaw?.. Not hard, but still...
& Fender: I host a dinner once a month. Next one's on Saturday. And it's top secret. You can't tell anyone.
Tim: What are we talking about here? Orgy? Is it a human sacrifice of some kind?
Fender: We're... collectors. I'll let the guys fill you in.
Caldwell: Some people collect vintage automobiles. Some people collect fine wines. Fender collects people.
& Julia: Kieran, you remember Tim?
Kieran: The stockbroker.
Tim: No. No. I work for a private equity firm that specializes in distressed assets.
Kieran: So kind of a stockbroker.
Tim: Almost nothing like a stockbroker.
Kieran: Do you mind if I just call you stockbroker? It's the way I remember people. You're stockbroker Tim.
& Kieran: Do you have any idea what it's like to be up to your elbow... in a zebra's vagina? And feel life? New life, fresh life.
Tim: No, I don't.
Kieran: You should try it, Tim. It's magical.
& Kieran: What does it make you think of?
Tim: I guess it kind of makes me... think of your penis.
Kieran: Then you get it. Julie gets it.
& Tim: I hope those aren't for your lawyer.
Barry: No. I would rather not have lawyers get involved.
Tim: All right, I get it. You said you were fine, but... What would it take to keep the lawyers out?
Barry: ... Five?.. Five dollars.
& Barry: Well, it's a hobby. I like to think that... I'm sort of giving them a second chance, you know? In the words of John Lennon, "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not."
Tim: "The only one."
Barry: The only what?
Tim: No, that's the lyric. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."
& Tim: You know, Barry, this was a very strange way to meet, but I think everything happens for a reason.
Barry: Did you make that up?
Tim: Yeah.
Barry: "Everything happens for a reason." I like that.
& Tim: Anyway, tomorrow night, I'm having dinner with some friends.
Barry: Are you? That's incredible! Congratulations.
& Caldwell: My girlfriend's not a hooker.
Williams: She tried to give me a BJ.
Caldwell: If she didn't ask for money, then she's not a hooker, is she?
Williams: She asked me for money. It wasn't that expensive, either.
& Tim: Julie, Fender invited me.
Julie: So?
Tim: Fender, as in Fender Financial?..
Julie: The you I know would have just said no.
Tim: The me that you know did say no. But the me that you don't know had to say yes.
Julie: The you I don't know?
Tim: Yes. Look, there's you and the me that you know. And we love each other and we have a wonderful life. But then there's the me that you don't know. And the me that you don't know has to do things sometimes so that you and the me that you know can live in this nice apartment, and eat at nice restaurants and go to Cabo for Christmas. He takes care of us.
Julie: You know what? There should not be any you I don't know.
Tim: But there is. You might not like him. I don't like him. I hate him! But we need him.
& Barry: "For Julie. Thanks for everything. Kieran." Everything?
Tim: Yeah, she curated his show.
Barry: Bet that's not all she curated.
Tim: I don't know what that means, Barry.
Barry: Well, I don't know what curated means.
& Barry: Oh, yes... Sounds like they're having intercourse... I'm having trouble describing what I'm looking at.
& Kieran: Am I gonna make love with Christina and Monique tonight? Yeah! Hell, yes! Guilty. You caught me out. Yeah. But only because it's part of my process.
Tim: Your "process"?
Kieran: There are two things in this world: Wonderful, visceral, sexy sex... and death. Horrible, boring death. Now, I'm gonna go off and have some sex with these girls before I die.
& Darla: I'm a naughty little schoolgirl!
Barry: You look a little old to be a schoolgirl.
Darla: I need to be punished. Don't you wanna be my schoolteacher?
Barry: I'm really not qualified. I work for the IRS.
& Tim: Barry! Barry!!
Barry: ... Works every time. If you are attacked, you should always play dead. People don't want to punch something that's dead. It's instinctual.
& Therman: Barry, I can make you say it. But with your own free will, say, "You can eat my pudding."
Barry: I'm not gonna say it.
Therman: Barry, I'm gonna eat it, anyway! But I want you to say, "You can eat my pudding!"

Glee 1x6
Vitamin D
Season 1, Episode 6
& Sue: Oh, dear God. Please... Please stop talking. I'm trying desperately to ignore the treacly* sweet inanity* of your asinine* conversation... but now I've got bile* in my mouth. I will hold my tongue no further. You know what this is?.. This is a list of my Cheerios. Every week I pick someone at random, and I kick 'em out.
Will: Yeah, well, in Glee Club we do things a little bit differently.
Sue: Oh, yeah, Will? How's that workin' out for you? You have to remember something. We're dealing with children. They need to be terrified. It's like mother's milk to them. Without it, their bones won't grow properly. So if you want results with a kid... you find that competitive animal within, and unleash it. Okay. Ellen, that blouse is just insane.
& Sue: Let me be frank. Your husband is hiding his kielbasa... in a Hickory Farms gift basket that doesn't belong to you.
& Sue: Oh, it's the same old song. Wife puts on a couple extra pounds...
Terry: I'm pregnant.
Sue: Oh, that's no excuse. I've always thought the desire to procreate showed deep, personal weakness. Me... Never wanted kids. Don't have the time. Don't have the uterus.
Terry: Are you sure about this?
Sue: A woman always knows.
& Terry: Well, isn't this a surprise.
Will: Terry, wh... what are you doing here?
Terry: Hi. I don't think we've been properly introduced. I'm Terry Schuester, Will's pregnant wife.
& Terry: I'm the new school nurse.
Will: But you're not a nurse! You don't have any training.
Terry: Oh, please, Will. It's a public school. Isn't this gonna be great?
& Ken: Look at the two of us. You pregnant, and me with psoriasis...
Terry: Oh.
Ken: ...and one testicle that won't descend. I don't know who to feel more sorry for.
& Emma: What are you doing?
Ken: Look, Emma. I know our relationship hasn't been perfect. You won't ride in my car. I can't touch you above the wrist. Remember, you cried for an hour that time my elbow accidentally brushed by your breast. But I think about you all day long. I kiss that picture of us at the state fair every night before I go to sleep.
Emma: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. This isn't happening. This is a dream.
Ken: Emma Pillsbury, this is not an engagement ring.
Emma: Oh, thank goodness.
Ken: No. I mean, it is. But It... it's more than that. It's... It's a promise. Look, Emma. I know you have this thing about being clean. Now I can't promise to pick up my underwear or squeegee* the shower door... but I can promise to keep your life clean of sadness... and loneliness... and any other dark clouds that might float into it. It's cubic zirconium. I know how affected you were by Blood Diamond. Emma Pillsbury... "M&M"... will you marry me?
& Emma: Hi. Um, I can't... I can't stay long in this room... because of the germs*, you know, and because of the odor. But I have a question.
Ken: Anything for you, Emma.
Emma: So what would, um... what would getting married mean... exactly? Because I would wanna keep my last name... and I'd wanna continue living in different parts of town. And, um, I think it would be best if we didn't see each other after school.
Ken: Sure.
Emma: And I wouldn't want a big ceremony, you know, like in a church or with... people. We wouldn't have to invite anybody, you know, or tell anybody actually. It could be more like a secret, you know... like a secret marriage.
Ken: That's actually a better deal than I expected.
Emma: You're a really good man, Ken. And I don't want to spend the rest of my life alone... and I know that you don't either. So...
Ken: Is that a yes?

Sandwich Day
Season 2, Episode 14
& Jonathan: Mr. Donaghy, you're not really going down to 12, are you?
Jake: I have to. Of course it's humiliating. Banks is trying to shame me into leaving. But where else am I gonna go?.. I've been sleeping with the Cindy Crawford of corporations for the last 22 years. What am I supposed to do? Just lie down with some skank* like 3M?
Jonathan: What about Washington? I'm sure your friends in the Bush Administration would...
Jake: Bush?!
Jonathan: Has it gotten that bad?
Jake: Good God, I'd rather work for an American car company than jump on that sinking ship.
& Jake: I'm losing it, Don... I mean, I've been walking the streets in this crazy snow, trying to figure out who I am, where I fit in. I even stopped to catch a snowflake with my tongue, but, evidently, that's some sort of signal in Chelsea.
& Jake: What happened?
Liz: He lied about going to the airport.
Jake: And?
Liz: And I said I hope he dies in a car explosion.
Jake: Lemon, life is about minimizing regrets. You never know when someone's going to slip into a coma and leave you regretting all the things you didn't say or get in writing from the company's lawyers. What I'm trying to say is you're... young and you still haven't blown it completely, so don't... start now.

Tony
Season 1, Episode 1
& Jim, Tony's Dad: Every fucking morning!
& Tony: Anyway, it's not that much to ask, Nips*. Sid's almost 17. He's gotta get laid before his birthday otherwise he can't be my friend, obviously.
Jal: What the fuck are you talking about?!
Tony: Sorry, Jal. Wrong call. Can you hold?
Jal: No.
Tony: Perhaps you could help out with Sid's cherry.
Jal: I don't think so! You need someone deaf, blind and stupid for that.
& Tony: Party tonight. Sid's getting de-cherried*.
Anwar: Chris promised Maxxie we're gonna go to his big gay night out.
Tony: Is Chris gay?
Anwar: No.
Tony: Are you gay?
Anwar: No. But Maxxie says there's gonna be lots of hot women there... desperate because there's nobody to shag - except for me and Chris.
Tony: Anwar, you dippy twat. Sid's flying solo down the tunnel of love and he needs support, yeah?
Anwar: Could we watch?
Tony: Oh, Jesus!
& Tony: Alright, who's stupid enough to fuck Sid?
Michelle: Cassie?
& Sid: Are we getting me laid or shall I just start filming and take it back for private time?
& Chris: What you been doing in Poshville Towers, eh?
Tony: Broadening my horizons.
Chris: Those girls do not do fickety fick with town scum like you. It doesn't matter what you can do with your muscles.
Tony: 'I say this world extends way beyond this field of dreams. And I want to see that world.'
Chris: What the fuck's he on about?
Jal: He's quoting. It's a literary reference.
Chris: What? You mean Shakespeare and shit?
Jal: Dawson's Creek.
& Mad Twat 2 Sid: Three ounces... That's three hundred pounds of easy credit, so you've got 48 hours to pay me. ... Have you got balls? ... Yeah... I'm just checking, because your balls are your collateral*. You got me?
& Chris: Angie's phone... Stop ringing her, or you'll have me to deal with.
Angie: Let me have it.
Chris: Yep, Chris Miles here... Angie's friend. ... She's got friends, you know what I'm saying, you tosser*. ... Right. Yeah, yeah, I'll have the coursework in by Thursday. Are you saying I can have an extension?.. Yeah. And don't ring her again... bellend*! Sorted him out!
& Chris: Jesus. As big gay nights go... It's not that big.
Maxxie: I'm sorry, guys. I just wanted to show you my world, you know.
Chris: I'm definitely not turning gay.
Anwar: Me neither. Nope.
Maxxie: It can be a lot of fun. We had the Pontypool Mounted Police Formation Dance Team in last week... Hey, where you going?
Chris: To find that party. All the boys are gay.
Maxxie: Yeah? Are the girls gay too?
Chris: Look, everyone's gay. Right, let's get the fuck out of here.
& Cassie: You fancy me?
Sid: I... Sure, I...
Cassie: But you really love Michelle.
Sid: It shows?
Cassie: Fucking right it shows. Anyway, she told me.
& Sid: Tony.
Tony: Yes, Sid.
Sid: Chris and that Polish girl... They got out of the car at the hospital, right?.. I mean, they got out before the harbour, yeah?..

& Pokrovskiy: Guys! We know each other. Let's make a deal! What do you need, money? Money? How much money do you need?
Doc: A billion yuan, have it?
Pokrovskiy: How much will that be in dollars?
Doc: Am I the currency exchange?
& Komelev: Conflict of interests requires somebody's help. We would price it at... 7 million.
Lebedev: Why not 10?
Komelev: Are you asking as a man of business or just out of curiosity?
& Lena: Maxim. I can't, and please don't stalk me, alright?
Maxim: Stalking is when you are certainly against it, but when you are uncertain, then it's trying to win you over.

The Rhodes Not Taken
Season 1, Episode 5
& Will: How come you haven't had any morning sickness? Quinn Fabray's been upchucking every 15 minutes.
Terri: Really? That's a really good sign... That means the baby's not a mongoloid.
& Finn: We lost Rachel. You think we can do it without her?
Emma: Sure!
Finn: Do you think we can win regional's without Rachel?
Emma: Remember the Jamaican bobsled team?
Finn: Big long-shots?
Emma: Definitely.
& Will: Oh, crap. There's no forwarding address.
Emma: So then you've had feelings for someone other than your wife?
Will: I'd love to play This Is Your Life, but Lord Google demands my attention.
Emma: Okay, just wait. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Reaching back into your past is a dangerous business. Okay? People can change. They can, um, disappoint you.
Will: I think I can handle it.
Emma: I thought I could too. Just hear me out. A few years ago I started an online flirtation... with a high school flame, Andy. Things got weird, and I called it off. And two months later... Versace was dead. Dead.
& Will: You draw a lot of attention to yourself... and they're embarrassed enough as it is. So do you think you could maybe take some time and try to win them over? {...}
Kurt: Mmm. Smells like my aunt Mildred.
April Rhodes: Just drink it.
Kurt: Sweet, with a bit of an afterburny taste.
April: Oh, good Chablis should always have a little bite. A few swigs of that every day before school and you'll have all the courage you need... to be yourself.
Kurt: Really?
April: Oh, yeah! And... This's my primo collection of vintage muscle magazines. Want 'em? {...}
Kurt: Mr. Schuester, I changed my mind. April should stay. I worship* her. {...}
April: Oh, no. You gotta be more natural.
Tina: I c-c-can't do this.
Mercedes: I don't understand why we're doing this in the first place.
April: Your lack of imagination astounds me. This is only the beginning. If you can master this, you can sneak anything out of a store between your knees. Shoes, prom dresses. I once got a cake out of a kid's birthday party with the candles still lit! {...}
Will: Are you sure?
Mercedes: She can stay.
Tina: T-T-Totally.
& Rachel: Do I have to put my fingers in the holes? Couldn't there be diseases in there?
Finn: Oh, no. Ball sharing is all part of the fun. Here, use the pink one. Pink's your favorite color, right?
& April: There's my boy!
Will: Are you drunk? You promised me you'd sober up for this.
April: When? Last night? Well, I was drunk. You can't hold me to that.
& Emma: Kurt, I'm a girl who knows her solvents*, and your breath smells like rubbing* alcohol.

Episode #1.6
& Kelly: What about your friends?
Nathan: I believe that's generally referred to as a "paedophile ring".
Simon: I'm not a paedophile.
Nathan: Yeah? You'd screw your own sister for a slice of cheese.
Simon: I don't even like cheese.
Nathan: That makes it even worse, you sick bastard.
& Rachel: Don't you have any shame?
Alisha: Don't you have any dress sense?
& Alisha: I'm sorting my life out. All the drugs and the drink-driving. I've done so many things I'm ashamed of. And I... touched myself in front of you.
Curtis: And I'm pretty sure you enjoyed it.
Alisha: Well, I shouldn't be masturbating in public toilets. I'm saving myself until I'm ready to make a proper commitment.
Curtis: It's a bit late for that.
Alisha: No, it's never too late.
& Simon: When weird stuff happens, it's always the storm. Haven't you worked that out yet?
Nathan: Did you just suddenly grow a set of balls?
Simon: I've always had a set of balls. You've just never seen them.
Nathan: That is about the gayest thing I've ever heard.
& Kelly: Is that a sock? Aw, it's crusty*.
Nathan: Ah, don't put it on my pizza!
Kelly: Why are you sleeping with a crusty sock in your bed?
Nathan: All right. Yes. It's my wank* sock.
Kelly: Oh, no! Use some tissue!
Nathan: That requires planning. Who's that organized?
& Kelly: Oh, don't use a sock.
Nathan: Look, you've just knocked one out, right? Poom-byo! You're lying there, you're feeling cheap and deflated. There's a pool of rapidly cooling spunk on your stomach. You're looking round for something to mop up* with. 'Oh, hello. What's this? It's a sock. Job done. Thank you.'
Kelly: Maybe that's your power...
& Kelly: You're better off without power. They're a pain in the arse.
Nathan: You know why it is, though? Because you can't improve on perfection.
& Nathan: 'Don't think about shagging her.
Don't think about shagging her.
You're thinking about shagging her.
You're an idiot.'
You heard that, didn't you? I'm a man. We think about shagging everyone.
& Nathan: Is it just me, or does this look really suspicious?
& Kelly: It's Curtis!
Nathan: No! No, there's too many of them. And I'm not very good at fighting. I never have been.
& Nathan: Did she just... virginise him?
& Nathan: What if that "virtue bitch" shows up? She's vexing them with some kind of Derren Brown voodoo mind shit.
& Nathan: Come on, Barry, you're good at this stuff. Think of something.
Simon: Who's Barry?
Nathan: You are.
Kelly: His name is Simon.
Nathan: Is it? I thought it was Barry.
& Nathan: We need to gear up. ...
Kelly: What are you doing?
Nathan: You gotta have the right track for this kind of thing. You need something up-tempo, with a bit of edge to it. I'm thinking Jay-Z, maybe a bit of Dizzee. You could be getting into a whole race thing...
Kelly: Just pick one, for fuck's sake!
Nathan: Oh, hold on... Oh, yes. That's the baby!
Jay-Z, Anything
Dizzee Rascal, Dance Wiv Me
& Nathan: Who are you? ... Thanks for saving me and everything. You could've just stopped and let me off!
& Nathan: It was you and now you're not... you.
Kelly: Look at ya. You haven't achieved anything. You're a waste of space. You're such a loser.
Nathan: There's no need to get personal.
& Nathan: Beautiful weather, isn't it?
Curtis: Nathan. I'm so glad you're with us now.
Nathan: I'm so pleased to be here. I was such a loser. The drugs, the sex... all that fast food. I was so miserable.
Curtis: I hear you. You were such an annoying idiot.
& Nathan: What's this?
Curtis: Oh, it's a petition. We're campaigning against contraceptives being given out in schools. Will you sign it?
Nathan: There's only one thing young ladies should be inserting in themselves... and that's... knowledge.
& Kelly: Nathan, please just let her go.
Nathan: She's got you thinking this is how you're supposed to be. Well, it's not! We're young. We're supposed to drink too much. We're supposed to have bad attitudes and shag each other's brains out. We are designed to party. This is it. Yeah, so a few of us will overdose or go mental. But Charles Darwin said 'You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.' And that's what it's all about - breaking eggs! And by eggs, I do mean, getting twatted on a cocktail of Class A's. {...} We had it all. We fucked up bigger and better than any generation that came before us. We were so beautiful! We're screw-ups. I'm a screw-up* and I plan to be a screw-up until my late 20s, maybe even my early 30s. And I will shag my own mother before I let her... or anyone else take that away from me!
& Simon: To Nathan.
Curtis: Prick.

Curtis: Yeah... Don't get caught.

Nathan: Um... I think I'm taller.

Nathan: This shit is old news. We have outfoxed the fox, which makes us very bloody foxy.
& Nathan: What if I can talk to animals?
& Nathan: See? Babies. That's why I always use a condom. And if the girl looks dirty, I use two. Belt and braces.

Curtis: Don't put your arm around me!
Nathan: It's these powers, man. No matter what you do, the ones you love will be the ones who pay.

Curtis: What?
Sam: What you just said. That's from Spider-Man. You're dumping me with a line from Spider-Man? You immature, pathetic, shallow bastard! You stay away from me!
Curtis: ... Done.

Simon: You're poor. And you've got a criminal record.
Kally: You can barely look after yourself.
Curtis: Social Services will take one look at you...

Nathan: Him and his mum can come and live with me at the Community Center. I can get free food from the vending machines. I'll steal booze from the kitchen. I'll steal from other babies. I'll go to the park and forage for nuts and berries.
Baby-boy: You're prick.
& Nathan: Why am I holding this baby? I'm not being sexist but one of you girls needs to take this off me before I drop it on its head.

Обычно говорят об одиночестве людей, управляющих звездными Кольцами. Смотрители маяков пространства, и все такое. Здесь, на Цербере, мне иногда кажется, что я — единственный человек во Вселенной. {...}
Иногда мне так сильно хочется с кем-нибудь поговорить, что я кричу и бьюсь о стены. Бывают моменты, когда скука заползает в душу и едва не сводит меня с ума. {...}
