Stoker

& India: Just as the skirt needs the wind to billow... I’m not formed by things that are of myself alone.

& India: This is me. Just as a flower does not choose its color... we are not responsible for what we have come to be. Only once you realize this do you become free. And to become adult... is to become free.

& Mrs. McGarrick: Why, India, you’re white as a sheet! Is something wrong?
India: Yes... My father is dead.

& Evelyn: Go shopping. We could get some ice cream.
India: In Victorian times, a widow was expected to mourn her husband for two years. At least.
    Evelyn: India.
India: But in Ancient China... they built a straw hut beside the grave and lived there for three years doing nothing.

& Charles: You know, he used to say to me: “What kind of family is family that never comes home?”

& India: Have you ever seen a photograph of yourself... taken when you didn’t know you’re being photographed? From an angle you don’t get to see when you look in the mirror. And you think, “That’s me. That’s also me.” Do you...? Do you know what I’m talking about?

& India: I always thought Dad liked hunting. But tonight I realized he did it for me. He used to say, “Sometimes you need to do something bad... to stop you from doing something worse.”

& Charles: What kind of family is family you can’t take home?

& Evelyn: You know, I’ve often wondered why it is we have children in the first place. And the conclusion I’ve come to is... at some point in our lives, we realize things are... They’re screwed up beyond repair. So we decide to start again. Wipe the slate clean. Start afresh. And we have children. Little carbon copies we can turn to and say, “You will do what I could not. You will succeed where I have failed.” Because we want someone to get it right this time... But not me.

& Sheriff: In a hurry? Know how fast you were going?
    India: Effectively fast, Mister Sheriff.
    Sheriff: Effective for what?
    India: To get your attention!

Continuum 2×8

& Kiera: We can make this fast and easy.
Garza: I doubt that. He’s a very old man.

& Alec: You’re asking me to remotely trigger the com channel of a dead person and use their CMR to look through their dead eyes?
Kiera: Technically, it’s possible. Then, once we connect...
Alec: It’s weird and it’s creepy, and I feel like I’m reanimating the dead. ... Actually, that’s kinda cool!

& Alec: It’s going to change the world!
Kellogg: And Alec, you’re going to change it.
Alec: Yeah, and you’re going to sell it. The master key to the internet.
Kellogg: We keep the key. We sell the services. Cracking encryptions, overwriting computer systems, information control.
Alec: Yeah. And then I become death. The destroyer of all worlds.

& Kellogg: Oppenheimer was making a nuclear bomb.
Alec: It’s a different bottle, same genie.
Kellogg: I know you see the good in this, Alec. And I see the good in you! So come on, what do you say? Let’s make some billions, improve some lives, a little heroism on the side.

& Carlos: Should I be jealous?
Kiera: What? Of course not. We’re just... enjoying a temporary detente. Mutual interests.
    Carlos: Keep your friends close...
Kiera: And your enemies in a vice-like grip.
Carlos: Yeah, but who’s gripping who?

& Kiera: What do they want?
Escher: What everyone wants. Power. Control.
    Kiera: I don’t want that.
    Escher: Are you sure?..

& Agent Gardiner: What do you say we take a trip to Fisker and Associates?
Kiera: You go ahead, I’ve got...
Agent Gardiner: Things that you’ve gotta do. With your people. Section Six. Nevermind, I got this.

& Garza: Do you still think I’m pretty?

& Garza: You asked me for a favour. Do you know what it was?
    Alec: A what?
Garza: A favour, idiot boy! You, in the future, asked me for a favour. Can you guess what you wanted?
    Alec: Dating advice?

& Garza: We all have good intentions when we start.
Kiera: Don’t do it, Garza. I know who he is!
Garza: I know what he becomes!
Alec: Goddamit, neither of you know me!

& Garza: Why would you trust me to do this?
Alec: Because, unlike me, you’re weak enough and strong enough to love.

& Alec: Who the hell am I in the future? I sent you to protect me. I sent her here to kill me.

& Alec: There is no fate. We chart our own course, here and now.

& Alec: I don’t follow instructions anymore, not from you, not from anyone. The only opinion that matters is mine. So if I say she gets to be here, then she gets to be here.
Kellogg: Well, look at you... The boy becomes the man.

& Miller: Listen, the point is that in America, and United States of America. Bald Eagles and Budweiser you go out and drink. Because it’s the sacred right passage. Just like in Africa. You’re so lucky we’re not in Africa. When we’re in Africa you have to leave the village not come back until you kill a bear.
Casey: None of that is true.
Miller: There’s no bears in Africa? Really?
Casey: No. You have to read a book.
Miller: You’re 21 years old. This as they say in Casey’s home country is a Bar Mitzvah. It’s an American Bar Mitzvah.
Casey: I was born in America.
Miller: It’s like when an Eskimo kills his first penguin.
Casey: No, they definitely don’t do that.
Miller: Yes, they fucking do, Casey. In this country Jeffchang, your best friends take you out, and they fuck you with alcohol. I’m gonna fuck you with alcohol.

& Casey: So you’re in Sigma Zeta Circle-with-a-line-in-it?

& Casey: Ethnic Serbs... These guys can pong.
Miller: Okey, bros. When we beat you, you can’t rape us, and steal our lands. OK? No raping. No raping. OK. Nice shot. Mazel tov.

& Miller: Let her go. Sometimes the heart’s a lonely hunter. Do you wanna cry? I’ll fucking cry for you.

& Jeff: You’ll never catch me alive!

& Miller: He’s home, he’s in bed. He’s sleeping.
Dr. Chang: Why don’t I believe you?
Miller: Because you’re suspicious and mean?

& Miller: I just, I wish you wear more than tube sock, but fuck it, baby.
Casey: I really wish you hadn’t call me baby.
    Miller: With tongue?
Latina Sorority Judge: Of course tongue!
Casey: Really? You have to fucking ask for tongue?
Miller: I’m sorry, I was stupid.

& Miller: Since we’re not friends, I can tell you how fucking lame you’ve been. I can tell you, that you probably should go to Wall Street and that you should spend the funniest year of your life in an office, working for the man. Wearing a cute little suit.
Casey: It’s called growing up dude. Why don’t you look into it.
Miller: I don’t need to grow up. Bro, you need to grow down.
Casey: That’s not even an expression.
    Miller: Today it is.

& Miller: It’s like The Da Vinci Code, except it makes sense.

& Casey: Dude, we got just circumcised Jeffchang.

& Jeff: He’s here. What should I do?
Casey: Honestly, I think you have to tell him the truth man.
Miller: I think that’s pretty obvious everybody in this room. You gotta tell him the truth.
Jeff: Oh, my God, you guys are so white.
Casey: What? Dude, that’s really racist.
Miller: White people have feelings too man.

& Jeff: That’s my laptop.
Julian: Fuck with your laptop. Get a desktop, bitch!

Wrath of the Gods

Spartacus: Vengeance

Season 2 Finale, Episode 10

& Oenemaus: A man is never too weak... or too wounded to fight. If the cause is greater than his own life.

& Glaber: A most unpleasant tongue.

& Glaber: He holds the higher ground. It cannot be taken yet without severe loss of men.
Ilithyia: Yet... it can be taken?

& Crixus: You once dreamt of honor upon the sand... Make this your final arena.

& Ashur: You think this makes difference? My death will not heal the scars you bear. Nor erase memory of my cock inside of her, or all those that followed.
Naevia: No. It will not. But it is a fucking start.

& Spartacus: The Romans hold numbers far outweighing our own. Yet they have revealed time and again fatal flaw. That they believe the Roman way is the only one. Just as they believe that there is only one way to leave this mountain. We shall teach them that we forge our own paths. And nothing in this world is impossible, when heart and mind are put towards it.

& Spartacus: Let us begin a lesson forever remembered.

& Agron: The sound will mask descent. The gods bless us with good fortune.
Spartacus: Free men create their own. We are all gods this night. And the Romans shall feel our wrath.

& Lucretia: No one left to come between us.

& Ilithyia: Stop. Please. We are friends, are we not?
    Lucretia: The very best.

& Oenemaus: I owe you pain.

& Spartacus: The Roman finally learns his place before us!.. On his knees!

& Spartacus: Let Rome send their legions! We will face them! And see all follow Glaber in death! Now we will become an army.

My Son's Enormous Head

Two and a Half Men 6×18

& Charlie: You know, when dogs are sick they hide till they feel better. Probably why they’re man’s best friend...

& Alan: This isn’t a Clint Eastwood movie.
Charlie: Yes, it is. Even Clint Eastwood doesn’t think this is a Clint Eastwood movie.
Alan: Well, tough, I like it.
Charlie: Sure, you do. You’re a giant fruit basket.
Alan: I’ll never apologize for my femine side.

& Chelsea: Charlie?.. You awake?
Charlie: ... Boy, I hope not.

& Charlie: Hey, Berta, Chelsea’s not feeling well. Could you make her some tea and an English muffin?
    Berta: Sure, I could.
    Charlie: But you won’t...

& Alan: So what’s the deal? Does, uh, Chelsea have a cold?
Charlie: I’m not sure. Cold-flu-something disgusting.
Jake: Maybe she has an STD...
    Charlie: What?
Jake: It means “sexually transmitted disease.”
Charlie: I know what STD’s are!
Alan: Your uncle helped invent them.
Jake: You know, they can be prevented by using a condom.
Charlie: I know we could’ve prevented you by using a condom. Now we gotta use a hammer.
    Jake: I don’t understand.
Charlie: Go get me a hammer and I’ll show you.
    Jake: Okay.
Charlie: .... You must be so proud.
Jake: Ball peen or claw hammer?!
Alan: Do me a favor when he comes back, just do it.

& Charlie: Chelsea? Honey?
    Chelsea: Don’t come in.
Charlie: Wasn’t even tempted... I got your tea and muffins!
Chelsea: I have diarrhea. I can’t eat now.
Charlie: I may never eat again.

& Chelsea: Would you mind going to the drugstore for me?
Charlie: For you, I’d go to the ends of the earth. Coming back’s a whole other question.

& Russell: Okay, here you go. A dam for every river. A plug for every jug.

& Charlie: Oh, right, I almost forgot. She also needs tampons.
Russell: Oh, lucky you. What size?
Charlie: How should I know? Is there some kind of a condom-tampon conversion chart?
Russell: No, but that’s an amusing idea. Actually, it’s not about size, per se. It’s more about flow.
Charlie: Okay, see, that’s a piece of information I could have gone the rest of my life without knowing.
Russell: Here you go. Here’s a variety pack. This’ll handle anything from a little drizzle to a monsoon.

& Chelsea: Charlie?
    Charlie: Yeah?
    Chelsea: I love you.
    Charlie: Great.
Chelsea: Aren’t you gonna say it back?
Charlie: I’m gonna go pan for cat turds. If that doesn’t say “I love you” nothing does.

& Charlie: I’m not cut out to be a caregiver.
Alan: Well, you might not think so but you’re doing it. I mean, you, Charlie Harper are unselfishly taking care of the woman you love.
Charlie: Maybe so, but... it’s getting harder and harder to love her.
    Alan: You don’t mean that.
Charlie: Oh, Alan if you’d seen and heard the things I have in the last 24 hours it’d turn you gayer than a French horn.
Alan: Excuse me but I have witnessed childbirth. I saw my son’s enormous head poke out of what used to be one of my very favorite places.
Charlie: Thanks for the image. I’ll never be able to watch the kid pull on a sweater again.

Falling Skies 3×1 & 3×2

On Thin Ice

& Pope: Aw, come on, Cap. The fat lady just sang. Let’s celebrate.
Weaver: It’s colonel now, Pope. And, besides, it ain’t over until...
    Pope: It’s over.

& Pope: Oh, I got to get me one of those.

& Mr. President Professor Mason: The deal, as I recall, was that, if elected, I wouldn’t be stuck behind a desk or called President.
General Bressler: Yes, but that’s the...
Tom: I fight. We all fight until the last damn alien occupier is off the planet.
Ω Abraham Lincoln himself nowadays, huh?

& Tom: See you in the war room, Dan, in about an hour?
Weaver: You can count on it, Tom... uh, sir, Professor... Mr. President. What exactly am I supposed to call you now?
Tom: “Tom” will do. Nothing’s changed, Dan.
Weaver: Oh, I’d say, in these past seven months, plenty has changed.

& Cochise: Espheni know and understand large offensives, General. What bedevils them is our consistent skirmishing.
General Bressler: That makes no logical sense!
Cochise: Well, human logic is to be discarded when at war with extraterrestrial beings.

Ω Why kill John Locke (AKA Terry O'Quinn) all the time?

& Tom: Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m about to become a father.

& Tom: You think Roosevelt and Churchill wanted to work with Stalin? They knew what he was about. They needed him to win the war.
Weaver: This is our war, Tom. It’s a human war. And the minute we start forgetting that, the minute we start depending on somebody else to do this work for us, we’re on a bad road... and you’re never gonna get me to change my mind on that.

Collateral Damage

& Weaver: We need to know if there’s a way... to safely destroy the Wakonda Reactor.
Dr. Roger Kadar: By “safely,” I assume you mean you do not want to rain radioactive waste over the state, leaving it uninhabitable for the next 24,100 years?

& Anne: She’s a very different little girl.
Tom: Different? Different in what way?
    Anne: She’s very... advanced.
Ω Game changer?

& Tom: It’s a solid plan. It’s gonna work.
Weaver: They’re all solid plans till the first bullet flies, and then they’re as relevant as yesterday’s racing forms.

& Tom: Hey, Dan... Stay frosty.
Weaver: Like a winter in Buffalo.

& Kadar: Okay, if we’re out of here in 15 minutes, we should be able to get home with a little nausea and no hair loss.

& Tom: Where do we set these charges, Doc?
    Kadar: There and...There... And there...
Tom: “Could”? We need to do a hell of a lot better than “could.”
Kadar: Call it a high order of probability, then, if it makes you happy.

Derek 1×6

& Derek: Do you ever think a monkey would ride on a pig? Well, look.

& Derek: He thought it’d be better... Be better without him. He was wrong. I wish he would have stayed. I could have played with him when he wasn’t drunk... You should always stay with your baby.

& Gerald: She doesn’t always know me... but I look forward to seeing her every day. She’s still the same person... And every day I introduce myself and we get to know each other all over again. I’m lucky... Who else gets to fall in love 365 times a year?

& Gerald: You see, here’s the thing. People see a couple of doddering old fools caught in a time warp, waiting to die. But I see a beautiful young girl from Dublin who wants to spend the rest of her life with me... I win.

& Gerald: Don’t feel sorry for me. Or Lizzie. We had the best life we could ever have had... cos we spent it together.

& Derek: I didn’t have a dad, but I’ve had lots of mums, sort of things. Lots of people have... I’ve had my real mum, I loved her, and I’ve had loads of other mums, sort of. I loves them. And I’ve lost loads of mums as well. That’s the sad bit. But I’d rather have had them than not had them ever, like my dad.

& Dougie: From the moment you’re born, from the moment your head pops out, someone gives you a slap, you know, to make you cry, cos that’s how they know you’re alive. You cry. And then that’s it, isn’t it, for the next 70 or 80 years. That’s what life is — someone giving you a slapping and a load of crying. That’s life.

& Derek: I only prays that I die before Hannah. That’s all. And anything else that happens is all right.

& Derek: I don’t think it makes any difference anyway, cos I’ve prayed for things that haven’t happened and I haven’t prayed for things that have happened, so I don’t think it matters whether you believe in God or not.

& Derek: I’ve met people what don’t believe in God that are nice and what are horrible, and I’ve met people that do believe in God what are nice and what are horrible, so just be nice. That’s the easiest thing, just be nice.

& Hannah: I don’t know if I pray, you know, as such. I hope. If there is a God, he’ll know what I’m thinking anyway, won’t he? So...

& Kev: Muff. That’s it.

& Dougie: Pray? No. No, I wouldn’t bother. No-one listens to me anyway, do they? What’s the point in praying? No. I just have a moan instead. That’s my way of getting it out.

& Dougie: Meaning of life? There isn’t a meaning of life. If there is, don’t worry about it. You’re here now, get on with it.

& Dougie: In fact, I know why I’m here. Yeah, I’ll give you a proper answer to that question. I’ll tell you why I’m here. Cos when I was a little sperm, I won the race to the egg. That’s why I’m here, that’s what life’s about. It’s how it works. As a little sperm, I won the race to the egg... You know, that was the last thing I won as well.

& Hannah: I’ve learned that you’ve got to look after people, that it’s important to care for people, that... you shouldn’t be selfish, you should... try and look after the old and the ill and the... the weak, you know? And then you’ll never be stuck for something to do, because there’ll always be people to look after. It never stops. Yeah, there’s no end.

& Kev: There’s only one point to life and that’s the orgasm. The male orgasm, that is. I do not understand the point of the female orgasm at all.

& — Do you have any regrets?
Kev: Yeah. That I always try the easy way out, you know? Always, well... I thought it was the easy way out. Yeah. Always look for an angle and I’d look for a shortcut. I should’ve tried, yes. Should’ve worked hard. {...} I’m a failure, I guess. But I’m not a failure cos I didn’t succeed. I’m a failure cos I didn’t try.

& Kev: Derek took the best shortcut you can. The only shortcut that’s good. The only shortcut that works. And that’s kindness.

    Great show.

Alice: Good. Most people kill themselves for decades and get nowhere. It’s a gift from the gods, John.

Spartacus: Vengeance

Season 2 Episode 9

& Ilithyia: I would have life as it was, with my husband beside me.
Glaber: The man you speak of no longer exists.
Ilithyia: Then what stands before me?
Glaber: A monster. Rough hewn by unfortunate events, and given breath by necessity.

& Crixus: We are not a fist, but fingers twitching absent single purpose.

& Spartacus: My words crash upon ear, but fail to pierce heart.
Agron: Then we must stab deeper. Perhaps a punishment, for those who fail in the day’s training?
Spartacus: You cannot forge trust and loyalty at the ends of a whip, as the Romans believe.
Agron: Then what would you use? Soft kisses and whispers of love?

& Spartacus: It lifts heart, to ... see us bonded. Not by brand. Not by homeland. But by an ideal. That every man... every woman... should be born, should live, and should die with the taste of freedom forever upon their lips.

& Lucretia: He gives you my husband’s legacy?!
Ashur: We shall forge a new one, my love. As husband and wife. And together we shall see the noble rise of the House of Ashur.

& Oenemaus: Drink and contest. A clever strategy, to forge necessary bonds.
Spartacus: And I would see more follow...

& Spartacus: Let us have new contest! Agron! Crixus!.. Take position. Gannicus! Oenomaus!.. Stand against them.

& Crixus: Agron. You fought well... For a simple fuck from east of the Rhine.
Agron: As did you... For a shit-eating Gaul.

& Lucretia: You are no longer a girl, unblemished by the world. You’re a woman now. And our hands shape the fates, when those of men tremble.

& Glaber: I cast you aside... yet you save my life?
    Ilithyia: You are my husband.
Glaber: We cannot be what we were.
Ilithyia: Then let us be what we are.

& Ilithyia: We are both monsters, Gaius. Let us be so together, and seize the fucking heavens.

& Spartacus: Glaber commands from the rear. A coward’s position. He will advance his troops in tight formation, intending to overpower. It is the Roman way. We will teach them ours.

& Glaber: They now hold the high ground. We’ve lost advantage.
Ashur: You would let them go free?
Glaber: No. I would let them feast on mud and rock. And when hunger and madness drive them from their perch... We shall kill them all.

& Steven: Listen, if you produce it you could have you say about everything. Except the name of the group that is not negotiable.
Cheyenne: What do you call yourselves?
    Steven: „The Pieces of Shit”.
Cheyenne: This is... a really good choice.
Steven: Fuckin’ right it is, yeah. It took us six months to come up with that. Besides, it’s exactly the right name for this moment in history.

& Cheyenne: How do you manage to get all these women? If you think about it, you are not handsome, you are not smart. Instead you’re evasive, and egocentric, and you sweat like a pig. So what makes you so fuckin’ special?
Jeffery: Special? No, no. Nothing. But I’ve got two things that most other men don’t have. I’ve got curiosity... and time, you see? So I... I dedicate a whole lot of time to women, you know, and in the end that will seduce them. I am beside them all the time. Through the six months you have the every fuckin’ day. Do you understand? And they don’t cave in because they’re so exhausted, huh, they cave in because they didn’t believe they were worth all that fun, do you get it?
Cheyenne: Pretty much. And the curiosity part?
Jeffery: The curiosity is the fire that keeps you going for six months straight.

& Desmond: Why isn’t there any water in your pool?
Cheyenne: I don’t know. No one ever filled it... Well, as a matter of fact... Jane and I play bare hand Pelota in it. And Pelota is more fun than swimming.

& Desmond: I have never succeeded with Mary. I really fancy her.
Cheyenne: The secret is time, Desmond. Spend time with her. All the time she needs. Then she’ll come around. you’ll see. That’s what wins women over, and makes them feel safe.

& Cheyenne: I think I’m at time depressed.
Jane: I think a man who does that with his wife for 35 years as if for the first time is not depressed. Maybe you are confusing depression with boredom...

& Jane: Come back to me soon. You know I can't live without your.
Cheyenne: That's not true, but it's kind of you to say.

& Cheyenne: The brand doesn’t matter. If you want it stay in power, you have to put a thin layer of face powder on your lips first. That’s the secret. Then your lipstick will last all day.

& Midler: You know about the Holocaust?
Cheyenne: In a general sort of way.

& Dorothy: Would you like to kill me, dear?
Cheyenne: No ma’am. Why would I want to do that?

& Rachel: No shit. Now I remember you. You sang with Mick Jagger once.
Cheyenne: I know him. He’s a good singer. I like the way he dances.

& Rachel: I think your cheeseburger is a bit too well done. You don’t mind, do ya? Unfortunately, it’s life.
Cheyenne: You know what the problem is, Rachel?.. Without realizing it, we go from an age where we say „My life will be that too” to an age where we say „That’ life.”

& Jimmy: Hey man, I’m sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose. I’m sorry, really. We will be more careful.
Cheyenne: It’s not a question of being careful. It’s a question of knowing how to play ping-pong.

& Jimmy: That’s not fair! I was distracted.
Cheyenne: This is a common problem with all the youth... distraction. Don’t forget to leave a tip.

& Rachel: No, I’m not that kind of girl.
Cheyenne: I’m not that kind of boy.

& Rachel: What did you do when you’re in my age? Other than playing music?
    Cheyenne: Sniffing heroin.
    Rachel: You didn’t shoot that?
    Cheyenne: I’m afraid of needles.
Rachel: Fear saves us every time.
Cheyenne: Every time..... But you have to choose a moment in your life, even one, to not be afraid.
Rachel: And have you chosen that moment?
    Cheyenne: Yeah... This one.

& Cheyenne: When you’re a kid, it’s very hard to back off from your decisions.

& Rachel: It’s better late than never.
Cheyenne: That’s not true, late is late!

& Rachel: We also have the biggest pistachio in the world here. It’s a sculpture. It’s even in the Guinness Book of Records.
Cheyenne: And the littlest one, where is that?

& Cheyenne: What do you want me to play?
Tommy: „This Must Be The Place” by Arcade Fire.
Cheyenne: Nonsense, „This Must Be The Place” is by the Talking Heads.
Tommy: No, it’s by Arcade Fire.
Cheyenne: Trust me, you’re delusional. „This Must Be The Place” is by the Talking Heads. Arcade Fire merely did the cover.
    Tommy: Oh.

& Cheyenne’s Father: There are many ways of dying, the worst of them... is to continue living.

& Jane: What are you doing? Are you... Aren’t you trying to find yourself or something?
Cheyenne: No Jane... I’m not trying to find myself. I’m in New Mexico, not India.

& Gun Shopkeeper: What sort of weapon are you interested in?
    Cheyenne: One that hurts.

& Gun Shop Customer: That pistol here lets you shoot to kill with precision from 250 feet. And it doesn’t just give you the satisfaction of the kill, it lets you kill with impunity, which is all different ball game. Believe me, it’s an extraordinary thing to kill with impunity. A rare shift in perspective in a human being’s lifestyle. If we’re licensed to be monsters, we end up having just one desire... truly being monsters.

& Plath: Are you... uh... traveling?
    Cheyenne: Sight-seeing.
Plath: Oh, what exactly is the difference?
Cheyenne: I don’t know exactly the difference. But I always thought that travelers were pain in the ass.

& Midler: Pack your beauty case. We get out of here.
    Cheyenne: Where are we going?
Midler: To the end of life, exactly where your friend is.

& Cheyenne: I was seven years old, I saw the numbers on my father’s forearm and I asked him what they were and he said...
Midler: I guess he said, I’m quoting, “that’s our telephone number.” That’s why Jews always dial the wrong number.

& Midler: This place makes me feel so good. The mountains make me feel at peace with the world. You know. It’s like putting on a necktie.

& Midler: Can you even use that pistol?
Cheyenne: How the fuck did you know I had a pistol?
Midler: Because I know. Because I’ve been at war all my life. Never ends.

& Aloise Lange: One. Imitation. Hitler had a private study, 2,000 square feet. But he kept telling his architect it was too small. Goering built a house just like Hitler’s. Himmler would have like to have a house just like Goering’s. Bormann would have like to have a house just like Himmler’s if Himmler had managed to build one like Goering’s. Everybody imitated anybody everybody. Everybody but the Jews. They didn’t imitate anyone.
Two. Humiliation. {...} I don’t remember what, however, but I threatened that the German shepherd tear him to pieces. The dog growled at him. He was so scared... he peed in his pants. And I... burst out laughing. That’s what happened. That was his humiliation. Compared to the horrors of Auschwitz, was nothing. But your father never forgot it. {...} I hated your father because his obsession for me made my life impossible. But I have to say... that he completely won me over. The unrelenting beauty of revenge. The entire life dedicated to avenging a humiliation. That’s what we call perseverance. Greatness even.
Three. Theft. {...} Everyone, absolutely everyone, of their youth was stolen of them. Everyone, absolutely everyone... On the other side of the barbed wire, we too... we too looked at the snow. And... and God... God is like... God is... God... Never mind. I can’t remember anymore.

& Cheyenne: Something’s not quite right here. I’m not sure what exactly. But something.

& Midler: Listen, I have to tell you something. Your father loved you.
Cheyenne: How do you know that?
    Midler: He told me.
Cheyenne: That’s not true, but it’s nice of you to say.

& Cheyenne’s Father: When during the inferno, we too from the other side of the barbed wire... we too looked at the snow... and at God. That’s how God is... an infant in a stupefying form. Beautiful, lazy, and still with no desire to do anything, like certain women who, when we were boys, we only dared dream about.

Bob: Is it really so impossible to imagine?
    Pete: What?
Bob: Couldn’t it be that if someone took care of you, very good care of you... if this person would do anything for you, if your well-being was his only thought... is it impossible that you might begin to feel something for him?.. When there’s true love, it doesn’t matter who it is.
Ω Uh-oh.

& Arnold: Don, I owe you...
Megan: You are the sweetest man.
    Sally: You make me sick!

Spartacus: Vengeance

Season 2 Episode 9

& Crixus: You learn quickly.
Naevia: I have advantage. Of being taught by a god.

& Nemetes: Are we to use wooden stick in battle as well? I need no instruction. I fucking know how to fight.
Oenemaus: I instruct you not how to fight, but how to win. So you do not find yourself again enslaved by the Romans. First position!

& Ilithyia: The child is yours.
Ω It’s complicated.

& Spartacus: I am not Glaber. Able to strike a woman down for his crimes absent misgivings.
Gannicus: And what of the women crucified in the streets of Capua? Tortured to death because they dare whisper your name, eyes bright with thoughts of freedom and rebellion? Take the her life and end this now. Or see countless more fall in the name of your cause.

& Mira: He is a good man. I will not let him be destroyed by this. I will not let him kill you.
    Ilithyia: You will help me?
Mira: Yes. I will help you... From this fucking world.

& Glaber: I fear you are right. You are not like me. Your wife was the heart that beats within your breast. You would have given all to see her live. While I would do the same... to see you dead.

& Spartacus: Do you know what it is? To love? To be filled with light and hope? To see that blessing returned in kind, in the eyes of the only one that could ever know the true depth of your heart?

& Ilithyia: You let me live?
Spartacus: Do not think it a kindness.

Derek 1×4

& Dougie: I can’t move. You can’t keep doing this, Derek.
    Derek: What?
Dougie: This. This was never part of the job description for me.

& Derek: I loves wrestling. I’m strong and grabby. I don’t like real fighting. In real fighting, you fights people what you don’t like, so you can hurt ’em. But in wrestling, I wrestles people what I do like. It’s like strong cuddling, really
Dougie: Strong cuddling? Is that what he calls it? Honestly, there’s times when I wish he didn’t like me as much. His affection’s going to kill me one day.

& Derek: Could you give AIDS cancer? If a dog had got rabies, attacked a man with AIDS and the man bit him and the dog bit the man, would the dog get AIDS?

& Rebecca: I wondered why you weren’t on Facebook.
Hannah: ’When am I going to go on Facebook? What would I put on there? "Changed a bedpan“?’

& Hannah: Joan used to say, “You make a living from what you get. You make a life from what you give.”

& Dougie: What are you doing?
    Kev: Writing on crabs.
    Dougie: What’s all that about?
    Derek: He’s writing on crabs.
Dougie: What? What the motherfuck are you writing on crabs for?
Kev: Weird question. Why aren’t you writing on crabs, mate? That’s a better question.
Dougie: It’s not. Why are you writing on crabs?
Kev: Flat shiny surface, mate. Marker pen. You do the math.

& Kev: Just written TWAT on this one. If I could find a bigger one I’d write CARPET MUNCHER.
Dougie: What other words are you writing?
    Kev: QUIM, TAMPON...
Derek: There’s MUFF here. There’s COCK over there.

& Dougie: I’ve never heard of anyone going to the seaside and doing this as a little activity. Using crabs as fucking post-it notes.
Kev: Who are you, crab police?

& Dougie: What’s BOLL?
Kev: BOLL and OCKS. The only make sense together.

& Kev: Go on, boys. Go and annoy the world.
    Derek: Can you find TITS?

& Hannah: ’She’ll get over it, back at her five-bedroom house...’ She ain’t got room for her mum, though. Five bedrooms. I’ve got 23 bedrooms. And I’ve got a six-figure salary if you count the two after the decimal point.
