Savages

& O: Just because I’m telling you this story doesn’t mean I’m alive at the end of it.

& O: Chon is a killer. Two tours. Iraq, Afghanistan. And he came back with a lot of cash, but no soul. He’s always trying to fuck the war out of himself. I have orgasms. He has war-gasms.

& O: Dope’s supposed to be bad, but in a bad, bad world, it’s good. Chon says drugs are a rational response to insanity.

& O: It’s progressive because from what I’ve seen, at least, it helps with the pain. Fifteen million satisfied customers can’t all be wrong.

& Ben: There are other ways to make money. Don’t get locked into one view of the world, Chon.
    Chon: What?
Ben: Did you know they’re making $14 laptops for kids in Africa? What if you could make a $10 solar panel?.. You’d change the world.

& Chon: You let people think you’re weak, sooner or later you’re going to have to kill them.
    Ben: Buddha would not agree.
Chon: What does a fat Jap know?
    Ben: ... He’s a fat Indian.
    Chon: Whatever.

& Alex: What do you have to say?
Chon: Me? I think, basically, you want us to eat your shit and call it caviar.

& Spin: Where are you thinking?
    Chon: Indonesia.
    Spin: Where in Indonesia?
Chon: Can’t say. In case you get tortured.
    Spin: Joy.

& Spin: That girl’s ass... She could ride my bike anytime.
Chon: Can you focus on the numbers?
    Spin: Hey, I’m multitasking, pal.

& Elena: So, which cock does she suck?
Lado: I can’t tell. The white guys like each other. Maybe they’re faggots.
Elena: Maybe she does them both.
    Lado: Savages.

& Chon: Savages don’t make deals, Ben.
Ben: They’re a business, Chon. Think about it. We’re smarter than they are.
    Chon: Yeah, in botany.

& Dennis: Now, listen. When Hillary Clinton grows up, she wants to be Elena Sanchez.

& Ben: There’s got to be millions sitting in these houses at one time or another... It would be like Robin Hood.
Chon: A fucked-up Robin Hood. I love it.

& Ben: Chon, I don’t know if I can do this.
    Chon: Do what?
    Ben: Kill somebody.
Chon: Look, Ben. There’s no “undo” button here.

& Elena: Guess what? I’m coming to California!
    Magda: What?!
Elena: Well, you know what they say. If the mountain doesn’t come to Mohammed, Mohammed comes to California.

& O: I went to community college for a semester and a half. But then I left, because institutions make me crazy. And I thought, I don’t know, I wanted to experience something real. I figured I just wanted to drown in life. And how I made it out, that would...
Elena: Do Americans always talk this way? Have you ever really thought about your future?

& Elena: There’s something wrong with your love story, baby. They may love you, but they will never love you as much as they love each other. Otherwise, they wouldn’t share you, would they?

& Elena: You see how I never laugh and I never cry?.. Well, that’s because I have Botox of the heart.

& Dennis: If you want to see the real crooks, the real pros, just turn on the fucking TV. Yeah. We’ve made heroes of whores. A nation of whores. Wall Street. Washington. Those bastards make what I do out here look pathetic. If they woke up with my job, with my life, with my salary, they’d be looking for the nearest gun to swallow. You can’t stop. You can’t climb out. No left turns, no right turns. It’s just a circle and everybody gets their cut. I can’t tell you the last thing that I saw that was completely clean...

& O: Just because we make up stories about ourselves doesn’t mean we can escape what waits for us.

& Chon: Think of it like this, all right? You’re already dead. You were dead the moment you were born. If you accept that, you can accept anything.

Rough Night in Hump Junction

Two and a Half Men 5×15

& Charlie: Alan, I need to talk to you.
    Alan: Okay.
    Charlie: Alone.
    Jake: Gotta be about sex...
    Alan: Take a hike.
Jake: I’m 14. You’re not protecting me anymore.
    Alan: Jake!
Jake: This is just a pathetic sham.

& Alan: You realize that’s three in one day.
Charlie: Depends how you count. I make it out to be seven. Or eight. I should carry a clicker.

& Alan: Berta, have you noticed anything different about Charlie lately?
    Berta: What did you mean?
Alan: Well, he’s always been promiscuous... but I’m starting to think I should hide my bowling ball.

& Alan: Have you seen him act this way before?
Berta: Well, when Viagra first came out, I thought he was gonna die. Know how they say if your erection lasts for more than four hours... you should call your doctor? He’d just call another girl. For a while there, he had to stand on his head to take a leak.

& Berta: Rough night in Hump Junction?
Charlie: No, it was good. I just had a little accident. I tried to pick my lady friend up and put her on the bureau... and now I can’t find one of my testicles.
    Alan: Oh, Charlie.
Charlie: I don’t think I really lost it. It’s kind of like your keys. Even if you can’t put your hands on them... you know they gotta be somewhere.
Berta: That is something you do not wanna find in the vacuum bag.

& Alan: I feel like I should do something.
Berta: The way he’s been acting, if I were you... I’d start sleeping on my back wearing a catcher’s mask.

& Alan: Charlie, don’t you think you need to slow down a bit?
Charlie: Why would I wanna do that?
Alan: Oh, come on. Is this lifestyle actually making you happy?
Charlie: Let me answer that question with another question. Who would you rather be? You or me?
Alan: You’re kidding, right? You have two black eyes and you’re perched on a scrotum cozy....... You.

& Alan: Charlie, don’t you see what’s happening to you?
Charlie: Nothing’s happening, except I offered to buy a policewoman a $500 martini.

& Dr. Linda: So, Charlie, what’s been going on?
Charlie: Well... I’ve got a new career.
Dr. Linda: As a crash-test dummy?
Charlie: Writing songs for little kids... Turns out immature minds respond to me.

& Charlie: My ex-fiancée’s getting married. I’ve been dating. Nothing serious. And as you can see, I’ve had a couple of mishaps.
Dr. Linda: Well, except for the facial lacerations and the rectal doughnut... hardly noticeable.
Charlie: It’s actually a testicular doughnut.
    Dr. Linda: What’s the difference?
    Charlie: About that much.

& Charlie: Man, you shrinks wanna bring everything back to feelings, don’t you?
Dr. Linda: Think it has anything to do with your toilet training?
    Charlie: No.
Dr. Linda: Then I guess we’re stuck with feelings.

& Dr. Linda: The only reason you’re not sitting here weeping... is because it’s too painful for you.
Charlie: I’m sorry. I just can’t see it.
Dr. Linda: You can’t see it because your penis is in the way.
    Charlie: Thank you.
Dr. Linda: Not a compliment, Charlie.
    Charlie: Says you.

& Mia: What are you doing here?
Charlie: I came to get you back.
Mia: Are you out of your mind?
Charlie: No, no. I got the idea from my shrink.

& Charlie: I learned something about myself. I learned why I screw around so much. ... I think I’ve spent my whole life... trying to fill the empty space in myself by, you know...
Alan: Filling the empty space in others?
    Charlie: Exactly.
    Alan: That’s quite an insight.
Charlie: Well, I’m deep in therapy now.

& Alan: So, what are you gonna do?
Charlie: Well, I thought I’d find some chick with a big heart and a tiny ass... and marry her.

& Alan: Well, sounds like you’ve got everything figured out.
Charlie: You don’t ever figure this stuff out, Alan. You just take little baby steps on a lifelong path to becoming a better man.
Alan: How many pain pills have you taken?
    Charlie: Nine.

Total Recall

& Quaid: Does it ever occur to you that we always sit in these exact same seats? Four years, why?
Harry: Why? I do not know. There are seats. We have asses, seems like the logical thing to do.
Quaid: I’m talking about us following the same routine. Day after day, year after year, without even questioning it.
Harry: Want to switch it up? No sweat.

& Three-Breasted Woman: Trust me, baby, you gonna wish you had three hands.

& Quaid: And it feels like real life?
Max: What is life but our brain’s chemical perception of it. Your eyes see, your brain chemistry reacts. Here we remove the middleman and go directly to the chemistry. Does it make it any less real?

& Quaid: An illusion, no matter how convincing is still just an illusion.
Max: You are right, objectively. But from the inside... Subjectively... I assure you it is quite opposite entirely.

& Max: Alright, let’s get this show on the road. Get ready to save the world.

& Quaid: They tried to take me. I just reacted.

& Quaid: Tell me what is going on! Talk! Or we can skip straight to “until death do us apart”.

& Quaid: If I am not me, then who the hell am I?

& Quaid: I want to remember.
    Matthias: Why?
Quaid: So I can be myself. Be who I was.
Matthias: It is each man’s quest to find who he truly is. But the answer to that lies in the present not in the past...
Quaid: But the past tells us who we’ve become.
Matthias: The past is a construct of the mind. It blinds us; It fools us into believing it. But the heart wants to live in the present. Look there and you will find your answer.

& Matthias: All this trouble for one man...
Cohaagen: Never underestimate the power of one man.

The 43 Peculiarity

The Big Bang Theory 6×8

& Howard: He probably just goes to the bathroom.
Leonard: Actually, no, he goes to the bathroom at 8:00 a.m. with optional follow-ups at 1:45 and 7:10 on high-fiber Fridays.
Raj: It’s sad that you know that.
Leonard: Oh, that’s just the tip of the sadness iceberg.

& Penny: So, how was work today?
Leonard: Well, I spent most of the afternoon growing isotopically pure crystals for neutrino detection.
Penny: ........ That sounds like fun.
    Leonard: Yeah, it was.
Penny: Oh, good, I guessed right.

& Penny: He’s just a friend. We’re doing an oral report together. He’s really nice.
Leonard: I’m sorry, what was that? I had a little stroke after “oral.”

& Penny: Look, he just moved here from London, okay? He doesn’t really know anybody.
Leonard: Oh, good, an English accent, the sexiest accent you can have.

& Howard: What could he be doing in there every day for 20 minutes?
Raj: Well, he’s not doing 20-minute abs, because if he were... he would have way better abs.

& Leonard: If you’re wondering why I’ve been staring through the peephole, I’m trying to get a look at this guy who’s coming over to Penny’s.
Sheldon: To be honest, I didn’t know you were here.

& Leonard: This is silly. I have nothing to worry about.
Sheldon: Oh, I don’t know. Statistically speaking, I’m sure you have something to worry about.
    Leonard: What do you mean?
Sheldon: Well, if we assume your looks are average, right off the bat, 50% of men on Earth are more attractive than you. That’s 1.5 billion handsome lads standing by, waiting to rain on your parade.

& Sheldon: I’m not saying you don’t have attractive qualities. Your choice of friends is impeccable... you’re a good sleeper... And last but not least, you buy the grapes I like.

& Howard: Forty-three. What the hell does that mean?

& Leonard: I’ll be right back.
Sheldon: I thought you left a long time ago.

& Cole: She told me he’s a scientist...
Leonard: That’s the name of his gang. The Scientists. They are crazy.
Cole: Well, thanks for the tip.
Leonard: No problem, brother. Stay frosty.

& Leonard: We’re still dating, right?

& Alex: Oh, hello, Dr. Hofstadter.
Leonard: Hey, Alex, and call me Leonard. Dr. Hofstadter is my father. And my mother. And my sister. And our cat.

& Leonard: My girlfriend knows this guy at school. He’s got an English accent...
Alex: Ooh, I love English accents.
    Leonard: Yeah, you all do.

& Alex: You’re cute, you’re funny. Maybe you’re getting hit on, and you don’t even know it...
    Leonard: ........ Really?
    Alex: ... I’m pretty sure.

& Leonard: Hope-hope no girls rip my clothes off on the way.

& Raj: Come on, we’re smart guys. We can figure this out.
Howard: Forty-three... What is 43? Besides my mom’s neck size.

& Raj: It’s the atomic number for technetium. That stuff’s radioactive. Do you think he’s building a bomb?
Howard: It took him two years to put together that Lego Death Star; I’m not worried.

& Raj: 43 is the number of calories in half a cup of fat-free yogurt.
Howard: Why would you know that?
Raj: I’m sorry. We can’t all eat whatever we want and still stay thin.

& Raj: Wait, in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, isn’t 43 the answer to the question of life, the universe, and everything?
    Howard: That’s 42, dumb-ass.
    Raj: Hey, hey. Feelings.

& Raj: What the balls is 43?!
    Howard: I have to know!!

& Penny: Hey, shouldn’t you be out with your gang, spray painting equations on the side of buildings?

& Penny: Leonard, why do you always do this? Listen to me, you’re the one I’m with. You know I love you, so will you please relax because you’re driving me crazy!

& Leonard: We’re just supposed to pretend... it’s not... a big deal?
Penny: That’s... exactly what we’re gonna do because... you’re about to make me cry, and we both know if I start crying, you’re gonna start crying.

& Raj: That’s good quality video.
Howard: It better be. It’s the spare camera for the Mars rover.
Raj: How did you get your hands on that?
Howard: Million dollar camera... ten dollar lock.

& Sheldon: The first 43 parallel universes I’ve checked proved to be empty. I see no reason to suspect universe number 44 will be any different.

& Sheldon: Oh! It’s eating my face!
Raj: Aah! It’s eating his face!

& Sheldon: You may not realize it, but I have difficulty navigating certain aspects of daily life. You know, understanding sarcasm, feigning interest in others, not talking about trains as much as I want to...

& Sheldon: I’m never going to get to 43 again.

& Watson: Uh, I need to talk to you about something.
    Holmes: That’s never good.

& Watson: Do you want to tell me what you just heard?
Holmes: “10-66.” Code for “unusual incident.” It can mean one of only three things. Location of the incident... Far Rockaway Beach... indicates it’s neither a train collision nor a building collapse, which leaves only one possibility... Plane crash.

& Molinari: You have a consultant for plane crashes?
    Gregson: No, he’s...
Holmes: A specialist in the field of deductive reasoning. And unraveling the complex chain of events that can turn a triumph of human innovation into a smoldering pile of wreckage in seconds... well, I can’t think of a more... compelling application than that.

& Watson: Are you okay? You seem a little off, even for you.
Holmes: Four people are dead, Watson. I’m just trying to do my part.
Watson: I get it, but whoever killed that attorney must have died in that crash, too, right?
    Holmes: Obviously.
Watson: Well, then if there’s no killer on the loose, I just, I don’t understand why you’re sticking around.
Holmes: Because the killer hasn’t been identified yet. We have three suspects. Dead, alive, doesn’t matter. Two of them are innocent of the crime. Don’t you think we owe it to their loved ones to prove that? {...} It’s just... there’s a story here, Watson. And we can help tell it.

& Watson: Can I ask you a question?
    Holmes: Can I stop you?

& Watson: It’s the model glue, isn’t it?
Holmes: It’s murder on my senses. Not to mention I’m under strict orders not to get high. This office is like one big huffing bag.

& Watson: There’s just so much more I want know about him...
’Mr. Holmes’: I’m happy to answer any questions you may have. Would you mind terribly if I asked one of you first?.. How’s the sex?
    Watson: I beg your pardon?
’Mr. Holmes’: The sex. The shagging. Is he enjoying it?

& Holmes: Why 66 pounds exactly? A strange number. Until you factor in metric conversion. 66 pounds is the equivalent of exactly 30 kilos. Nice even number for cocaine smuggling, no?

& Alistair: We became friends.
Watson: Sherlock doesn’t have friends. Not in the traditional sense.
Alistair: He drops in and out, appears at odd moments to make outrageous and highly specific requests.
Watson: Respectfully, that doesn’t sound much like a friendship to me...
Alistair: Then perhaps you better revise your definition. You can’t expect Sherlock Holmes to relate to you the way others might. The moment you do, he’ll migrate out of your life, and you’ll be the poorer for it... You do realize that, don’t you?

Ω C'mon. Irene Adler? So Moriarty's also here?

& Watson: I guess there’s a question I want to ask you. About your past.
Holmes: Excellent. You wait here, I’ll go to my room, shut the door. As soon as you’re absolutely certain I can’t hear you, ask away.

Ted

& Narrator: It was Christmas Eve, and all the children were in high spirits... That special time of year when Boston children gather together... and beat up the Jewish kids.

& Narrator: Well, let me put it this way. No matter how big a splash you make in this world, whether you’re Corey Feldman, Frankie Muniz, Justin Bieber, or a talking teddy bear... eventually, nobody gives a shit.

& John: Let me ask you something. You don’t think she’s going to be expecting something big, do you?
    Ted: What, like anal?
John: No, like a fucking circular gold thing on her finger.
Ted: Oh, fuck that! It’s been four years, Johnny. You and me have been together for 27 years. Where’s my ring? Where’s my ring, asshole? Where’s my ring, motherfucker?

& Ted: Hey, Johnny, how about a beer? A couple of Charles Brew-kowskis?
    John: Couple of Brew-stoyevskis?
    Ted: Maybe a Mike Brew-gaslowski?
    John: Perhaps a Tedy Brew-ski?
    Ted: That’s a good one.
Lori: You know what, I think I, too, want a Martina Navrati-brewski.
    John: No, that doesn’t work.
    Ted: Don’t ruin it. No.
    Lori: Bullshit! That totally works.
    Ted: No, no.
    Lori: Yeah, it does.
John: It doesn’t work. The name has to have a “ski” at the end of it and you just put “brewski” at the end of “Martina Navratilova,” so...
Lori: I just thought we were saying funny names.
Ted: No, it has to have a “ski” at the end of it. Otherwise, where’s the challenge? If there’s no “ski” at the end of the root word then we would just be idiots saying nonsense.

& Rex: If we were together, our babies would be spectacular. With my top-of-the-pyramid Caucasian genes and your splash of dark, beautiful, smoky... Baltic? Czech?

& Ted: I’m not gay.
    John: I know.
Ted: And you’re not gay, so we’re fine.

& Ted: I don’t want to work at a grocery store.
John: Yeah, but you have no skills.
Ted: I told you, I can totally be a lawyer.

& Manager: So you think you got what it takes?
Ted: I’ll tell you what I got. Your wife’s pussy on my breath.
Manager: ... Nobody’s ever talked to me like that before.
Ted: That’s ’cause everyone’s mouth is usually full of your wife’s box.
    Manager: You’re hired.

& Ted: Let’s just find a better place to get stoned.

& Manager: You had sexual intercourse with a co-worker on top of the produce that we sell to the public?!
Ted: I fucked her with a parsnip* last week and I sold the parsnip to a family with four small children.
Manager: That took guts. We need guts. I’m promoting you.

& John: Do you know what just happened? Do you have any clue? My fucking life just ended!
Ted: Come on. She’ll go home, she’ll watch Bridget Jones-something-asshole. She’ll have a good cry, she’ll be fine. You’ll talk to her tomorrow.

& Ted: Look, Lori, you want him to be a man. But as long as he’s got his teddy bear, he’s always going to be a boy.

& Ted: “Michelob Ultra Tuscan Orange Grapefruit...” My God, America is imploding.

& Finn: Imagine you were a heroin addict... People tie them up and keep them captive all the time. Think of it as going cold turkey. I mean, what you have is a disease. And I’m going to find a cure and when I do, we’ll look back on this and laugh.

& Finn: I am trying really hard to make this relationship work!.. Do you need the toilet before I go?

& Rudy: When I say hers, have you ever shagged an homeless girl?
    Curtis: No.
Rudy: It’s like camping. Honestly, it reminded me of being a boy scout, looking up at the night sky, all the twinkling stars there... Well, she... Oh, she sat on my face.

& Rudy: Can I stay at yours for an indefinite period of time, rent free, please?

& Curtis: Maybe he was trying to hang himself.
Finn: Why would I try and hang myself?
Rudy: Because you are short. Don’t do it.

& Greg: This is a sculpting class for the blind. And you... God help them... will be their models.

& Curtis: There ain’t no law against shagging beautiful blind girls.

& Rudy: Settle it like gentlemen.
    Curtis: And how’s that?
    Rudy: A game of Penis-Scissors-Twat.
    Finn: Is that like Paper-Scissors-Stone?
Rudy: They stole that from me.

& Jess: Can you please stop saying vagina?
Finn: What do you call yours?

& Rudy: Best out of three. One, two, three! That’s the vagina, swallowing your scissors!

& Jess: He is fucking gorgeous.
Rudy: Woah! Please! I find your objectification of men more than a little offensive.

& Rudy: I thought we really had a bit of a will-they-won’t-they, yeah-they-probably-will sort of thing going on.

& Jess: Are you actually mentally ill?
Rudy: I could be. Is that your thing?

& Rudy: Invite me in, you prick!
    Finn: You’re not invited!
    Rudy: I’m inviting me.
    Finn: I’m uninviting you.
    Rudy: I’m reinviting me.
Finn: Get off! Get off me. You’re on me!
    Rudy: Thank you. Invitation accepted.

& Rudy: The early bird catches the worm.

& Curtis: He shits in a bucket?!
Rudy: Well, more to the point... what if it isn’t his shit?

& Greg: Are you questioning me? You don’t get to question me because as far as you’re concerned, I am God. And you know what happens when you fuck with God. There is an almighty shitstorm.

& Rudy: Ebony and ivory. Why can’t we all just stick together? In perfect harmony!

& Other-Rudy: Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
Rudy: I believe I am, yeah. He is keeping a talking dog prisoner.

& Finn: I know it looks bad, keeping someone a prisoner like that, tying them up and making them shit in a bucket, but it’s not what you think.

& Finn: She’s got a power. She can make me into a perfect boyfriend. Whatever she said, whatever she told me to do, I did it. I stopped drinking, I stopped going out with my mates. All I cared about was making her happy, endless presents and flowers and pampering, the conversations. We had to discuss everything. My jaw physically ached from all the talking. That... and the hours of cunnilingus. I practically lived with my face between her thighs. Some days I felt like I didn’t see the sun.
Rudy: Oh, man, that is just... There’s no man that could live like that.

& Rudy: You should probably know that the other me, he’s gone round your flat and he’s breaking into the room where you’ve got your girlfriend all tied up. You know... I thought it was a talking dog, me, haha!

& Robot voice: ’Help, I’m in here.’
Other-Rudy: Are you a talking dog?

& Robot voice: ’We all die alone.’

& Finn: I don’t know what to do.
Rudy: Hmm? Oh, come on! Look on the bright side. In the not too distant future, I’m pretty sure I am going to be having sex with a beautiful blind girl.

& Rudy: Oh! It’s a tragedy you’ve never seen them!
    Ally: Fuck me!
Rudy: I will fuck you... in the words of Lionel Richie... “All night long.”

Ally: Oh... it’s just how I feel. ... I’m not going to change my beliefs for a shag!
Rudy: All right. Well, that’s a shame, because I will not leave my cock in a racist vagina. Yeah, I’m a man of principle, love.

& Ally: Are you using Clingfilm from a bowl of dog food as a condom?
Rudy: No, I am not using Clingfilm from a bowl of dog food as a condom!

& Jess: If the only way you two can make it work is either her using her power on you, or you keeping her tied up and making her shit in a bucket, you’re probably not meant for each other.

& Rudy: Nipples... Little pink devils.

& Sadie: You never listened. I only used my power on you because I had to!
Finn: I’m a man! I’ve got testicles and free will! I’m sorry if that offends you!

& Finn: It’s my flat!
Sadie: Your flat? I found it! I paid the deposit and the rent. I decorated it and cleaned it. I found all the furniture. I made it into our home. What did you do?!
    Finn: Provided the humour?

& Jess: So why does she think you’re a cunt, apart from the obvious?

& Curtis: It must have been the guide dog who told her I was black...
Rudy: A racist, telepathic guide dog.

& Jess: It’s pretty amazing that they can do that.
Rudy: Maybe a bit too amazing. I reckon some of them are faking it, you know.
Curtis: Why would anyone fake being blind?
Rudy: For the parking. That’s one, think about it...

& Lola: I’m a trainee probation worker.

& Jess: Every woman you see, they’re just a hole into which you can potentially insert your penis.
Rudy: Three! There’s three bloody holes into which I could potentially insert me penis.
Jess: How do we even belong to the same species?
