Cry Macho (2021)

Howard Polk: It's 10:30, Mike. You're late.
Mike Milo: For what?

Howard Polk: You gonna say anything?
Mike: No. I was just gonna say, "Howard, I've always thought of you as a small, weak, and gutless man." But, you know, there's no reason to be rude.

Howard Polk: It's not kidnapping if he's your kid.

Rafo: Macho. His name is Macho.
Mike Milo: Whatever.
Rafo: What's wrong with that?
Mike Milo: Nothing. Guy wants to name his cock "Macho"... It's okay by me.

Rafo: You can never trust no one.

Rafo: In Mexico, we're friendly people. You lend, I lend. We lend, everybody lends.
Mike Milo: Yeah, yeah.
Rafo: What?
Mike Milo: Just, uh... It's not your car and I'll be driving it.

Mike Milo: What's the Spanish word for "irony"?

Rafo: You used to be tough. Now you're weak. You used to ride bulls, ride horses. You were something.
Mike Milo: I was something.
Rafo: You used to be strong. Macho. Now you're nothing.
Mike Milo: Yeah. Well, I used to be a lot of things, but I'm not now. And I'll tell you something. This macho thing is overrated. Works perfect for him, but it's overrated. Just people trying to be macho to show that they've got grit. That's about all they end up with. And you sit there and let a bull step all over you, and you let a horse throw you 50 feet in the air. What an idiot. Only an idiot would be in a profession like that.

Mike Milo: It's just... It's like anything else in life. You think you got all the answers, then you realize as you get old, that you don't have any of 'em. By the time you figure it out, it's too late.

The One with Joey's New Brain

Friends 7×15

Monica: So thanks for coming by, guys. We wanted to bounce some ideas off of you about the wedding ceremony.
Rachel: Oh...
Ross: What's the matter? Are you okay?
Rachel: Yeah, it's just...
Chandler: Monica said "wedding."

Joey: You're not gonna believe it. My character is coming out of his coma!
Monica: That's wonderful.
Rachel: Wow, Joey.
Joey: And not only that. I'm getting a new brain!
Chandler: So great things are happening at work and in your personal life.

Joey: They're killing off one of the characters, and when she dies... and her brain is being transplanted into my body.
Ross: Heh, what? A brain transplant? It's ridiculous.
Joey: I think it's ridiculous that you haven't had sex in three and a half months.
Ross: It's winter. There are fewer people on the street.

Monica: What is that?
Chandler: I think it's the Dying Cat Parade.

Rachel: Oh, my God. I bet that's him. My digital fairy tale's about to begin...

Cecilia Monroe: Probably should've just left years ago when the offers were pouring in... but, you know, I just got so comfy here and... Ugh, I turned down some amazing work.
Joey: Like what?
Cecilia Monroe: Well... let's just say if I'd left 15 years ago... the landscape of Mexican cinema would be very different today.
Joey: Wow.

Cecilia Monroe: So when Jessica kisses a man... she usually puts, um... both her hands on the man's face.
Joey: Yeah, I notice that. Is that because she's so passionate?
Cecilia Monroe: No, it's because that way the camera only sees her. You want to try it?

Downton Abbey 3×5

Lady Mary Crawley: And you don't think Papa understands that?
Matthew Crawley: Maybe he harks back to a time when money was abundant and there wasn't much need to keep on top of it. I think he equates being businesslike with being mean. Or worse, middle class like me... Middle classes have their virtues, and husbandry is one.

Sir Philip Tapsell: My dear Mr. Crawley, may I point out the word that gives you away? "Anxious." Anxiety is an enemy to pregnancy. Don't, whatever you do, feel anxious.

Matthew Crawley: Edith, have you written back to your editor yet?
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: What's this?
Matthew Crawley: Edith has had an invitation to write a newspaper column.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: And when may she expect an offer to appear on the London stage?

Mrs. Patmore: Oh, God, is it beginning?
Thomas Barrow: Dinner's suspended, so to speak.
Mrs. Patmore: Yes, but suspended canceled, or suspended keeping it hot? And what should I do about dinner down here?

Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham: If you are sure, Sir Philip?
Sir Philip Tapsell: I am quite, quite certain.
Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham: You're being ridiculous. Obviously we have to talk to Tom!
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Well, don't look at me. Cora is right. The decision lies with the chauffeur.

Mr. Carson: That's it. The baby is born. It's a girl. Now you can all go to bed.

Daisy Robinson: Is there anything we should do, Mr. Carson?
Mr. Carson: Carry on, Daisy. As we all must.

The Walking Dead 11×8

Pope: There's a reason for everything.

Judith: Remember what Mom said about storms? They're always followed by clear skies.

Pope: Ha-ha.
Daryl: What is it?
Pope: Somehow, she has turned the dead against the living. Ooh, that's impressive.

Judith: I haven't heard from her in so long. I just wish she was here.
Virgil: She is. I see her in the way you hold your sword. The way you're ready to run into the storm... and how you talk to those kids, helping them believe in themselves. Your mama's still with you. And you can bet that wherever she is, you're with her.

Pope: My enemy never gives up. Secure the gate. Shaw. Ready the hwacha.
Daryl: What's that?
Leah: It's how we're going to end this.

Pope: I knew this war was coming. And in every war, there is... sacrifice.

Eric Effoing: Oatcake, what's on your face?
Otis Milburn: It's a mustache. I've been growing it all summer, but somebody has been too busy having sex with their new boyfriend to notice.
Eric Effoing: Uh, I was hoping it was a phase.

Adam Groff: All right, New Kid? What is that on your face?

Eric Effoing: Oh my God! What? How? When?

Otis Milburn: Oh. Hi, Ruby, what are you?
Ruby Matthews: I'm early 2000s Christina Aguilera.
Otis Milburn: Very cool. I'm macaroni cheese.
Ruby Matthews: Shut up and have sex with me.
Otis Milburn: What are you sad about tonight?
Ruby Matthews: I'm a teenage girl, Otis. I'm always sad--
Eric: Wait. Why were you macaroni cheese?

Peter Groff: Know what the secret to a happy marriage is?
Michael Groff: I'm not really the best person to answer that, Peter.
Peter Groff: Money. Well, that and keeping the toilet seat down, but mostly fucking money...

Ruby Matthews: I'm a very private person, Otis.
Otis Milburn: I think you're embarrassed.
Ruby Matthews: Okay, fine. I'm embarrassed! I am hot and popular, and you are a badly-dressed stick man with a creepy mustache.

Otis Milburn: We're done.
Ruby Matthews: And we're not done. We're over!
Otis Milburn: "Over" and "done" mean the same thing!

TRANSHUMANISM INC

Downton Abbey 3×4

Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham: Tennessee is going to ratify the 19th amendment.
Matthew Crawley: Meaning?
Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham: All American women will have the vote.
Lady Edith Crawley: Which is more than they do here.
Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham: Well, they almost do.
Lady Edith Crawley: I don't have the vote. I'm not over 30 and I'm not a householder. It's ridiculous.

Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham: There's nothing so toffee-nosed as a Prince of the Church, so make sure you put him next to your grandmother. She'll know how to handle him.

Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Well, there must be something you could put your mind to.
Lady Edith Crawley: Like what? Gardening?
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Well, no, you can't be as desperate as that.
Lady Edith Crawley: Then what?
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Edith dear, you are a woman with a brain and reasonable ability. Stop whining and find something to do!

Mr. Carson: Go on, then.
Alfred Nugent: Tea spoon. Egg spoon. Melon spoon. Grapefruit spoon. Jam spoon...
Mr. Carson: Shall I tell you?
Alfred Nugent: .... All right.
Mr. Carson: A bouillon spoon.
Alfred Nugent: But I thought soup spoons were the same as table spoons.
Mr. Carson: Ah, and so they are. But not for bouillon, which is drunk from a smaller dish.

Tom Branson: They turned everyone out of the castle... Lord and Lady Drumgoole, their sons and all the servants... and then they set fire to it.
Lady Edith Crawley: What a tragedy.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Well, yes and no. That house was hideous. But, of course, that is no excuse.

Mr. Carson: What in God's name is it?
Mrs. Hughes: An electric toaster. I've given it to myself as a treat. If it's any good, I'm going to suggest getting one for the upstairs breakfasts.
Mr. Carson: Is it not enough that we're sheltering a dangerous revolutionary, Mrs. Hughes? Could you not have spared me that?

Mr. Carson: Well, this new one seems very sure of himself.
Matthew Crawley: You can manage that, can't you?
Mr. Carson: I suppose I could, sir.
Lady Mary Crawley: Well, it's settled then. Tell the maids they can buy their valentines.
Mr. Carson: So be it, m'lady... But Alfred is very good, you know. He's very willing. Even if he is Miss O'Brien's nephew.
Matthew Crawley: Clearly, nothing worse could be said of any man.

Lady Sybil Branson: Is that fair? He's admitted to being there. He's told you so himself.
Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham: But he did not tell me that he attended Dublin meetings where the attacks on the Anglo-Irish were planned.
Tom Branson: I was always against any personal violence. I swear it.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Oh, so at least we can sleep in our beds.

Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham: So what was the deal you managed to extract from the Home Secretary?
Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham: They don't want to make a martyr of him. And with Sybil, they think they could have another Maud Gonne on their hands, or Lady Gregory or worse, if they're not careful.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Lady Gregory, Countess Markievicz... why are the Irish rebels so well born?

Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: What do you mean you wrote to a newspaper? No lady writes to a newspaper.
Lady Edith Crawley: What about Lady Sarah Wilson? She's the daughter of a duke, and she worked as a war journalist.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Well, she's a Churchill. The Churchills are different.
Lady Mary Crawley: Have we no Churchill blood?
Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham: I think Granny is right.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Can somebody write that down?

Lady Mary Crawley: Well done, Carson. That must have cheered up the maids.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: He looks like a footman in a musical review.
Lady Edith Crawley: Poor Alfred. We mustn't allow him to be completely overshadowed.
Mr. Carson: Quite right, m'lady. Hard work and diligence weigh more than beauty in the real world.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: If only that were true...

Matthew Crawley: Downton is being mismanaged, Cousin Violet, and something must be done. The thing is, how do I do it without putting people's noses out of joint?
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Oh, my dear... Oh, I doubt there is a way to achieve that. I mean, you must do what needs to be done, of course, but... Oh, I think I can safely say a great many noses will be out of joint.

Rachel: Come on, help me move this.
Joey: No, no, no.
Rachel: No?
Joey: No. Rosita does not move.
Rachel: I'm sorry. Rosita? As in...?
Joey: As in "Rosita does not move."

Rachel: Joey, it's just a chair. What's the big deal?
Joey: The big deal is that it's the exact equal distance from the bathroom to the kitchen... and it's at the perfect angle so you don't get any glare coming off of Stevie.
Rachel: Stevie the TV?
Joey: Is there a problem?

Phoebe: Ugh. I hate this year.
Monica: What's wrong with this year?
Phoebe: It's already February and I've only given two massages... and they were both the worst tippers in the world.
Monica: That was me and Ross.
Phoebe: Oh, that's right.

Chandler: Joey?... Joe?... Full bag? Beer's still cold... Something terrible must have happened here.

Phoebe: Now, why do you want to kill yourself?
Earl: I've been working for 10 years now at this... meaningless, dead-end job... and nobody here even knows that I exist.
Phoebe: Chandler?!

Jack Geller: How are you, honey?
Monica: How do you think I am? You've wrecked all my childhood memories... you love Ross more than me. And I just rubbed a dead mouse on my face.

Monica: Hey, guys. Know what happened to Chandler's Barcalounger?
Rachel: Oh, yeah. Joey broke it. Had to get rid of it.
Monica: Are you kidding? I get a Porsche and the Barcalounger's gone? Heh. This is the best day ever!

Joey: They do.

Rachel: You know what? I am gonna do something today. I'm not just gonna sit around like some old lady. I want to get something pierced. Like my, uh, nose or my tongue or something.

Chandler: Okay, read the card, read the card.
Rachel: Okay. "Happy birthday, Grandma. It's better to be over the hill... than buried under it. All our love, Monica and Chandler." That's... funny.
Chandler: No, no, no, no. That was a joke!
Rachel: I know, I get it. It's funny.
Chandler: No, because you're not a grandmother.
Rachel: I know, because to be a grandmother, you have to be married and have children. I don't have any of those things. That's why it's so funny. I'm just gonna go...
Monica: All you had to do was buy the card...

Rachel: ..... Which means I need to meet the guy by the time I'm 30.
Ross: Which is fine, because you just turned... 28!
Rachel: No, Ross. No, it is not fine. According to my plan, I should already be with the guy that I'm gonna marry.

Chandler: Well, here we are. Just a bunch of 30-year-olds.

Liberty

Billions 5×10

Wendy Rhoades: It's not a real painting.
Mike Wagner 'Wags': Is if Axe says it is. That's a great thing about abstract art; who knows what Tanner intended?

Mike Wagner 'Wags': Don't try to slink away just yet. We have an announcement.
Bobby Axelrod: So first of all, if you have been vaccinated, take off your mask...

Mick Danzig: Where are you?
Bobby Axelrod: I'm in quarantine. Day before I was due to get my shot, I tested positive for COVID. My fuckin' pilot gave it to me. So those of you with your masks off, we've vaxxed ya'. As many as we could find loopholes for.

Bobby Axelrod: If we didn't vax ya' yet, well, let me just say this to all of you: It's been inspiring as hell watching you all battle on during the worst of the pandemic. Inspiring commitment. Just the same, you're all fired. Every last one of you. Axe Cap is closed.

Bobby Axelrod: The world has changed. We have to change. We have already changed.

Taylor Mason: Psychiatrists will tell you reassurance does no good, because once reassured, you are not becalmed for long. Instead, you become trained to need more reassurance.

Chuck Rhoades: No, no, no, don't do that with your fingers, like that. No, you forget germs?

Chuck Rhoades: Well, welcome to my home, Mike. And to this chapter of a great tradition, the Jeffersonian dinner. A further evolution of it anyway, aided by WebEx. Though separated by circumstance, there's no reason our exchange of ideas has to be... Ah! And we will dine as the founders did, with heritage birds. Has the same unaltered genetic makeup as the turkeys that roam the Shenandoah Valley in Long Tom's day, as my remote emissaries have set up for you...
Mike Prince: I'm surprised you're not in a powdered wig and tricorn.
Bob Sweeney: Don't think he didn't consider it.
Chuck Rhoades: We will honor this custom going back to the days of the founders when leading citizens, both public and private, reviewed and sometimes set the agenda of the day. This will be a "one mind" conversation with everyone taking turns, no real interlocution or crosstalk except by me. I will be our guide. And tonight's topic is... Liberty.

Tuk: That sounds... Well, I'll just say it... Over the line.
Bobby Axelrod: In our world, you're either driven by greed or fear. If you picked fear, I don't know why you're even in that fucking building.

Bobby Axelrod: It's a fucking attack on me. I'm gonna Sherlock Holmes this thing until I figure it out.

Mike Wagner 'Wags': Hard Bob... I thought the usual whiff of bullshit had dissipated. My mind is a repository of FDIC rules and regs. I don't need any help. But I will certainly ask you if I do.
Robert Beaufort: How will fee structure and annual percentage rate calculations be disclosed to consumers to ensure compliance with the truth in lending statutes?...
Mike Wagner 'Wags': Let's not bore the lady with these tedious questions. Come with me. I will parry these softballs and more... Let me handle this tinhorn. Why don't you make a TikTok or something?

Rian: Uh... I'm not working for a bank. Banks are bad. Not good bad or fun bad, just bad. And boring.

Taylor Mason: God never made any sense to me. Neither did heaven or hell. But the markets do. You are punished or rewarded as you deserve. It's not up to anyone's whim. That's the kind of stability I can devote my life to.

Rhoades, Sr.: We used to call it Mary Jane, sometimes tea. But whatever you put in your pipe and smoke, that's what they are arguing about right now.
Bobby Axelrod: Cannabis?
Rhoades, Sr.: That's what the marketers want you to call it, yeah.

Lauren Turner: You talk a big game about worshipping logic, clean, emotionless simplicity. But every move you make comes from a personal pain so deep you can't even recognize it.

Dead Dreams

Atypical 4×5

Sam: Adaptation means changing to increase your chances of survival in a specific environment. Animals are way better at that than us humans. Way better...
You probably already know this, but the fish in Antarctica are evolutionary wonders. Over 90% have developed an antifreeze protein in their blood that prevents them from freezing to death in the icy water. Now that's what I call adapting. ....
Adaptation happens when there's no other choice, when it's change or die. Us humans, we usually just die.

Doug: Wow, Argentina, that's cool.
Sam: Cooler even than you think.

Elsa: So you figured out your project?
Sam: Yes. My proposal centers around this colony. The emperor penguins in Antarctica are in danger of extinction due to climate change. I will document this colony using my art in order to capture their essence. In 80 years, they might not exist. That sounds like a long time, but it's not. I'll be dead, but just by a little. You two will be long gone.
Casey: Wow, this is really cool, Sam. It kind of makes me want to go to Antarctica.

Elsa: Um, well, Sam's... Sam has some very ambitious plans lately, and it's got me thinking about dreams, a young person's dreams. We all had them. We were all that starry-eyed kid, right? So, we know what happens. They die. Dreams die. They get crushed under the bootheel of real life. That's why they're called "dreams" and not "what actually happened." None of us get what we want. We all end up disappointed. And that's okay. That's reality.

Zahid: Who?
Sam: Niles Blanderman. He was an Australian polar explorer who went missing in the 1950s. They found him frozen under eight feet of ice. His corpse was almost perfectly preserved.
Zahid: Yeesh. Does that happen a lot?
Sam: Freezing, yes. Finding, no.

Lady Sybil Crawley: Hello, Granny. Isn't it exciting?
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: At my age, one must ration one's excitement.

Sir Anthony Strallan: But are you happy about it?
Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham: I'm happy Edith is happy. I'm happy you mean to keep her happy. That is quite enough happiness to be going on with.

Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham: This is it. I doubt we'll need more than eight servants tops, so it'll be very economical.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: What about me? Where am I to go?
Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham: We still own most of the village.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Oh. Perhaps I could open a shop.
Lady Sybil Crawley: Good idea, Granny. What do you think Eryholme needs?
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Well, if it's like everywhere else, good manners and some decent conversation.
Isobel Crawley: Well, there you are, then. You should have a roaring trade in minutes.

Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: I really think you should go to bed. No bride wants to look tired at her wedding. It either means she's anxious or been up to no good.
Lady Edith Crawley: I won't sleep a wink.
Lady Sybil Crawley: Tonight or tomorrow.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: Sybil, vulgarity is no substitute for wit.
Lady Sybil Crawley: Well, you started it.

Mrs. Hughes: She was very kind, and I was touched. As you know, I don't worship them all, like you do.
Mr. Carson: I wouldn't put it like that...
Mrs. Hughes: But this time, I freely admit it, I was quite touched.

Lady Edith Crawley: Oh, Mama...
Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham: You are being tested. And do you know what they say, my darling? Being tested only makes you stronger.
Lady Edith Crawley: I don't think it's working with me.

Daisy Robinson: I never thought I'd feel sorry for an earl's daughter.
Mrs. Patmore: All God's creatures have their troubles.

Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham: Carson, I don't want Lady Edith to see any of the wedding food.
Mr. Carson: Mrs. Hughes and Anna are taking what's left down to Mr. Travis tomorrow, m'lady. For the poor.
Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham: If the poor don't want it, you can bring it over to me.

Starters and Endings

Atypical 4×4

Sam: At the very minimum, humans need three things to survive: food, shelter, and water. .... Of the three basic needs for survival, food, water, and shelter, in Antarctica, finding water is never a problem, and people can survive for days or even weeks without food. But if you go even one night in Antarctica without shelter, well, say goodbye to life.

Sam: Now I just have to find the right program to go to Antarctica. It's not as simple as hopping on a plane, and a boat, and a ferry, and another plane, and an all-terrain vehicle of some sort. If only it were that simple.

Elsa: But we're still waiting for this crazy plan of his to go away, right?
Doug: Actually, no. If I've learned anything lately, it's that life is short. And if Sam wants to go to Antarctica, he should go to Antarctica... as soon as he can.

Sweet Girl (2021)

Roy Cooper: As the years pass, we realize we are nothing more than the experiences that made us.

Roy Cooper: There are no rules in a fight, people do not...
Rachel Cooper: Fight fair!
Roy Cooper: How do you win an unfair fight?
Rachel Cooper: You always fight harder.

Roy Cooper: Parents and their children. Where do we stop and they begin?...

Rachel Cooper: What? Hospital bill? Just… put it at the bottom of the pile.
Roy Cooper: We can't ignore it.
Rachel Cooper: Sure you can. We voted for universal health care. Just… Tell 'em we're taking a political stance.

Hitman: You see, what I've learned ... is that there will always be an opposing force. No amount of revenge can change that.

Diana Morgan: The candidate with the most money wins. That's how it works.

Promises Broken

The Walking Dead 11×7

Negan: Alright, tell you what. You make me a promise... In front of the goddamn preacher... And I will stick around.
Maggie: Promise you what?
Negan: I do this for you, and we're even, we are good. I don't have to keep looking over my shoulder.
Maggie: We will never be even.
Negan: Then you are gonna be down a soldier that you desperately need. Your call.

Eugene: You're doing great.
Stephanie: I'm doing okay, not great.
Eugene: The timeline since this was last an essential activity in your daily routine and the necessity for it should be factors in your self-judgment.

Stephanie: The military does this for us. It's been so long since I've had to. It's not like riding a bicycle, turns out. You do forget.
Eugene: That's the good ol' cerebellum protecting you from unpleasant memories.

Maggie: You're gonna have to find me four strangers.
Negan: Only need three. I kept my mask for practical and sentimental reasons.
Maggie: This is not fun!
Negan: Well, not with that attitude.

Negan: Lower your shoulders. Arms limp. That's good, Maggie...

Maggie: This piece of shit!
Negan: It's not gonna fit you perfectly. It was... someone else's face.

Tomi: Someone like me would never meet Ms. Milton.
Yumiko: Why not?
Tomi: You have to know your place.

Elijah: Has he changed?
Maggie: We can't know that... He's helpful. He would be, long as there's something in it for him.
Elijah: So, your promise?
Maggie: I hope I can keep it...

Maggie: You killed people who had families. And you did it in front of their families.

Maggie: Are you saying you'd do things differently?
Negan: Yeah. Yeah, if I could do it all over again... I'd have killed every single one of you.
Maggie: .... Why would you say that?
Negan: It's the truth. We got to do whatever we can to protect our people, right? I mean, that's why we're here. That's why we're doing this.
Maggie: Why would you say that to me?
Negan: We had a good day, you and I. And the only way this works, Maggie, is... Is if we're honest.

American Horror Story. Double Feature: Red Tide

Tuberculosis Karen: Mickey?
Mickey: In the flesh.
Tuberculosis Karen: Whose flesh, Mickey?

Mickey: All right, check this out. Here's the plan. You and me, place in the Palisades, parties, premiers, power couple. All them Hollywood p words. I mean, shit, we could be running that town by Christmas. I mean, come on, what's not great about that?
Tuberculosis Karen: The price of admission, that's what.
Mickey: You can make anything sound shitty when you concentrate on the negative, Karen.

Alma Gardner: I still don't understand why you keep her around. .... We're trying to be great at something, daddy. People like her just wanna get through the day. Have breakfast, go shopping, check Facebook. We want to live deep.

Ursula: I don't think you understand what I've been able to pull off these last few weeks regarding your husband's career. Harry is currently in an orbit all his own. He's got a greenlit movie at Warners, he's got two series ready to go at Netflix, and this big rewrite he's working on for the next "Avatar."

Alma Gardner: You don't think she's good enough, daddy?
Ursula: Well, maybe if she doesn't have the talent, she shouldn't take the risk.
Alma Gardner: Do you think you're good enough, mommy?...

Alma Gardner: But it's not darkness. It's a beauty and light. Don't you hear it when I play? Think about all those people that are gonna be touched by daddy's work. Think of those beautiful rooms you can design. Being a little less afraid of the blood. Being more afraid of being mediocre... You can have it all, mommy. Just like us.

Mickey: I'll help you, all right? It'll be easy. We'll find someone easy. Someone who deserves it.
Tuberculosis Karen: How do you know who deserves it?
Mickey: We'll find someone who's better off dead, okay? You know this place is full of those kinda people. I mean, gosh, they come here like flies.

Mickey: But first... You have to feed.

Ursula: Well, I said it before, and I'll say it again: Some people have it, and some people don't. There is nothing more tragic, pathetic, and sad than a person with no talent trying to make it in the world.

Mickey: If you want your "starry night," you have to feed.

The One Where They're Up All Night

Friends 7×12

Chandler: Monica.
Monica: She's sleeping.
Chandler: I know. Just a quick question. Which one was Deep Impact and which one was Armageddon?
Monica: Deep Impact was the one with Robert Duvall. Armageddon is what's going to happen to you if you wake me up.

Joey: Man, I'm starving. What the hell was I thinking at dinner? "Do you want soup or salad?" Both, always order both!

Phoebe: Oh, my God! How did you get back here?
Fireman: Phoebe Buffay?
Phoebe: Fire Alarm?

Ross: Okay, I'm gonna start to climb down you now.
Joey: All right, just hurry up.
Ross: Okay. Now, should I climb down your front so we're face to face... or should I climb down your back so we're... butt to face?
Joey: Face to face.
Ross: I like face to face. Okay, here I come...
Joey: All right. Oh, my... How much do you weigh, Ross?
Ross: I prefer not to answer that right now. I'm still carrying a little holiday weight.

Joey: When we talked about face to face... I don't think we thought it all the way through.
Ross: What do you want me to do?
Joey: Just shimmy down me and drop.
Ross: Hi.
Joey: Hi.
Ross: You know, maybe I should hang, and you should climb down me.
Joey: Yeah? Maybe we should talk about that for a little while!
Ross: It still looks pretty far.
Joey: It's not that far. Just drop.
Ross: Do not rush me!
Joey: Ross, my pants are starting to come down, and I'm not wearing any underwear.
