Mince alors!

& Sophie:

& Emilie:

& Docteur Hachemi:
    Sophie:
    Docteur Hachemi:
    Sophie:
    Docteur Hachemi:
    Sophie: 3 недели.
    Docteur Hachemi:
Docteur Hachemi:
    Sophie: 1000 евро.

& Docteur Hachemi:

    Jessica:

Go to Hell

American Horror Story: Coven

3×12

& Queenie: What the hell? You’re Papa Legba. You live in a chicken shack?
Papa Legba: No, darling. It’s not the hell. It’s your hell.

& Papa Legba: There’s this thing about being immortal. Your hell’s on Earth.

& Delphine: You made me weep. But not as you would have it for my supposed sins. I wept for the state of this world. A world of lies. A world that makes promises it cannot keep. To tell a colored man that he can be equal to a white man?.. There’s the real cruelty.

& Delphine: I’m not going anywhere.
    Queenie: Actually you are.
    Delphine: Ow!
    Queenie: Straight to hell.
    Delphine: It’s impossible! I’m immortal.
    Queenie: Wrong.
Delphine: I don’t want to die!
    Queenie: Tough shit. Who does?

& The Axeman: Just because you witches can open the locks with your hocus-pocus... it doesn’t make it polite. A man shouldn’t be disturbed when he’s playing with his instrument.

& Queenie: I’m gonna go find a maintenance man.
    Cordelia: No, no, just us.
Queenie: You mean, just me, and I don’t have a jackhammer.
Cordelia: Stop being so literal and remember who you are. When the rest of the world sees a wall, we see a window.

& Fiona: Why do they insist on always putting me in seat 1A?

& Fiona: When I was eight years old... my mother brought me a little calico cat...
Ω Full forward to the Season’3 end.

& Pauline: Why are they doing this to us?
    Marie: Because we can.

& Papa Legba: Congratulations, Madame Delphine LaLaurie. You have been granted your sweet release from the world of the mortal. And as punishment for your crimes of murder, torture, passion, fashion and being an all-around no-good miserable bitch, you... will spend all of eternity here... in my home.
    Delphine: It is my home.
Papa Legba: No... it’s mine. Welcome to hell.

& Papa Legba: Eventually... everybody pays. Everybody suffers. Now get back to work.

& Cordelia: How does she look?
Myrtle: Magnificent. I wish you could see it.
    Cordelia: I can.

& Cordelia: She was a force to be reckoned with, but she was a horrible Supreme. She shirked all of her responsibility, including the most important: identifying her successor. So it will be up to us to find our new leader. And the only way is through the test of Seven Wonders. And since it could be any one of you, you will all be tested.
The Seven Wonders... Sunday at dawn it begins. Everyone participates. And by next week, we will have a new Supreme.
Ω Oh, yeah.

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day

& Delysia: You’re a bona fide genius, Guinevere!
Guinevere: Miss Lafosse, it has been a most exciting, one might say exhilarating experience, meeting you, though I can’t help feeling one fraught with moral complexity. But now that the crisis has been averted, I simply must take my leave.
Delysia: What? Oh, you can’t go. Please don’t go. The crisis is ongoing.

& Nick: Since when did girls together smoke cigars? Hmm? Answer me that.
Guinevere: .... If I want to smoke cigars, I’ll damned well smoke cigars, thank you very much. And to hell with your opinion.
    Nick: What, they’re yours?
    Guinevere: You betcha, baby.

& Guinevere: This is me?
Delysia: All you. As nature intended.

& Michael: You know what? Prison certainly clears the head. Pure and simple, I want you to marry me. And it’s a one-word conversation, Delysia.

& Delysia: And who says I’m looking for a darned husband this very minute, anyway?
Guinevere: Not everything comes along just when we want it. There are times when choices just have to be made, or you certainly will miss out.

& Guinevere: He died. In the mud in France. A good, solid man. You would call him dull, no doubt, but he smiled whenever he saw me, and we could’ve built a life on that.

& Guinevere: Your heart knows the truth, Delysia. Trust it, for life is short.

& Delysia: Well? Is it a yes or is it a no?
    Michael: What?
Delysia: Will you doggone marry me or will you doggone not?

& Joe: I’ve been looking for you all night, and, I believe all of my life. If you’ll have me. ... A nod of the head will do me fine.

His Last Vow

Sherlock 3×3

& Charles Augustus Magnussen: Facts are for history books. I work in news.

& Smallwood: This is blackmail!
Magnussen: Of course it isn’t blackmail. This is... ownership.

& Magnussen: Claire de la Lune... It never tastes like it smells, does it?

& Watson: No, you can’t come, you’re pregnant.
Mary: You can’t go, I’m pregnant!

& Watson: Well? Is he clean?
Ω Nod in the Elementary direction? Nice.

& Mycroft: Don’t reply, just look frightened and scuttle.

& Sherlock: Um, what was I going to say?.. Oh, yeah. Bye-bye.

& Watson: It’s for a case, you say? What sort of case?
Sherlock: Too big and dangerous for any sane individual to get involved in.
Watson: You trying to put me off?
Sherlock: God, no. Trying to recruit you. And stay out of my bedroom.

& Janine: Where’s Sherl?
    Watson: Sherl!?!

& Magnussen: Best thing about the English... you’re so domesticated. All standing around, apologising... keeping your little heads down. You can do what you like here. No-one’s ever going to stop you. A nation of herbivores.
I have interests all over the world but... everything starts in England. If it works here... I try it in a real country. The United Kingdom, Petri dish to the Western World.

& Sherlock: You see, as long as there’s people, there’s always a weak spot.

& Watson: Sherlock, she loves you!
Sherlock: Yes. Like I said, human error.

& Watson: We should call the police.
Sherlock: During our own burglary? You’re really not a natural at this, are you?

& Mary: I’m sorry, Sherlock. I truly am.
Ω Unpredictable, intriguing turn. Liar!

& Molly: It’s not like it is in the movies. There’s not a great big spurt of blood and you go flying backwards. The impact isn’t spread over a wide area. It’s tightly focused so there’s little or no energy transfer. You stay still and the bullet pushes through. You’re almost certainly going to die, so we need to focus. I said, “Focus!”

& Sherlock: You... You never felt pain, did you? Why did you never feel pain?
Moriarty: You always feel it, Sherlock. But you don’t have to fear it!
Ω Unexpectedly.

& Watson: You... Mrs. Watson, you’re in big trouble.
    Mary: Really? Why?
Watson: His first word when he woke up... “Mary.”

& Janine: Sherlock Holmes, you are a back-stabbing, heartless, manipulative bastard.
Sherlock: And you, as it turns out, are a grasping, opportunistic, publicity-hungry, tabloid whore.
    Janine: So, we’re good then?
    Sherlock: Yeah, of course.

& Sherlock: So... Mary Watson... who are you?

& Bill Wiggins: Rule one of looking for Sherlock Holmes, he finds you.

& Sherlock: That wasn’t a miss, that was surgery.

& Sherlock: Now talk and sort it out and do it quickly.

& Mrs. Holmes: I’m not absolutely sure why you’re here.
    Sherlock: I invited him.
Wiggins: I’m his protege, Mrs. Holmes. When he dies, I get all his stuff and his job.
    Sherlock: No.
Wiggins: Oh, well, I help out a bit.
    Sherlock: Closer.

& Sherlock: You were a doctor who went to war. You’re a man who couldn’t stay in the suburbs for more than a month without storming a crack den, beating up a junkie. Your best friend is a sociopath, who solves crimes as an alternative to getting high. That’s me, by the way, hello. Even the landlady used to run a drug cartel.
Mrs. Hudson: It was my husband’s cartel! I was just typing.
    Sherlock: And exotic dancing.
Mrs. Hudson: Sherlock Holmes, if you’ve been YouTubing...
Sherlock: John, you are addicted to a certain lifestyle. You are abnormally attracted to dangerous situations and people, so is it truly such a surprise that the woman you fall in love with conforms to that pattern?

& Watson: Why is SHE like that?
    Sherlock: Because YOU chose her.
Watson: Why is everything always... MY FAULT?!?!
    Mrs. Hudson: Oh, neighbours!

& Watson: Sit.
    Mary: Why?
Watson: Because that’s where they sit. The people who come in here with their stories. They’re the clients, that’s all you are now, Mary. You’re a client. This is where you sit and talk and this is where we sit and listen. Then we decide if we want you or not.
Ω Bazinga, BTW.

& Sherlock: A.G.R.A., what’s that?
    Mary: Er... my initials.
Ω Nice touch.

& Watson: The problems of your past are your business. The problems of your future... are my privilege. It’s all I have to say, it’s all I need to know.

& Watson: I don’t understand.
Magnussen: You should have that on a T-shirt.

& Magnussen: It’s all about knowledge, everything is. Knowing is owning.

& Watson: But if you just know it, then you don’t have proof.
Magnussen: Proof? What would I need proof for? I’m in news, you moron. I don’t have to prove it, I just have to print it.

& Watson: I still don’t understand.
Magnussen: And there’s the back of the T-shirt.

& Mycroft: Oh, Sherlock. What have you done?

& Watson: So here we are.
    Sherlock: William Sherlock Scott Holmes.
    Watson: Sorry?
Sherlock: That’s the whole of it. If you’re looking for baby names.

& Sherlock: John, there’s something I should say, I’ve meant to say always and I never have. Since it’s unlikely we’ll ever meet again, I might as well say it now... Sherlock is actually a girl’s name.
    Watson: It’s not.
Sherlock: It was worth a try.

& Sherlock: To the very best of times, John.

& Moriarty: Did you miss me? Did you miss me? Did you miss me? Did you miss me? Did you miss me?

& Mycroft: As it turns out, you’re needed.
Sherlock: Oh, for God’s sake, make up your mind! Who needs me this time?
    Mycroft: .... England.

& Mary: But he’s dead. I mean, you told me he was dead, Moriarty?
Watson: Absolutely. Blew his own brains out.
Mary: So how can he be back?
Ω Precisely as Sherlock could.

About Time

& Tim: How would I...
Dad: The ’How?’ is the easy bit, in fact. You go into a dark place, big cupboards are very useful generally. Toilets, at a pinch. Then you clench your fists like this. Think of the moment you’re going to and you’ll find yourself there. After a bit of a stumble and a rumble and a tumble.
    Tim: .... Wow.
Dad: Is as good a reaction as any. I think I plumped for ’fuck!?’ but it was the ’70s.

& Tim: What have you done with it?
Dad: For me, it’s books, books, books. I’ve read everything a man could wish to. Twice. Dickens three times.

& Tim: Money would be the obvious thing.
Dad: Very mixed blessing. Utterly screwed up your grandfather’s life. Left him without love or friends. I’ve never bumped into a genuinely happy rich person.
Tim: It would be nice not to have to work...
Dad: No, that’s a real recipe for disaster.

& Tim: Big lesson number one, all the time travel in the world can’t make someone love you.

& Tim: It’s a disaster.
Harry: Is an understatement. It’s the Titanic of play openings, but with no survivors. No women, no children, not even Kate Winslet. All dead.

& Tim: Milk?
    Mary: Yes.
    Tim: Sugar?
    Mary: No.
    Tim: Boyfriend?

& Mary: It’s a front opener.
    Tim: It’s a what?
Mary: It opens from the front.

& Mary: Okay. I have some bad news.
    Tim: You’re dying?
    Mary: No, not that bad.
    Tim: I’m dying?
Mary: No. My parents are in town.

& Charlotte: It’s a lot nicer inside.

& Mum: It’s very bad for a girl to be too pretty. It stops her developing a sense of humor. Or a personality.

& Mary: Honeymoon?
Tim: Bed and breakfast in Scotland.
Mary: I am not taking my pants off for Scotland!
Tim: But it’s all we can afford. Take off your pants.
    Mary: I will not.

& Dad: I’d only give one piece of advice to anyone marrying. We’re all quite similar in the end. We all get old and tell the same tales too many times. But try and marry someone kind.

& Tim: There’s a song by Baz Luhrmann called Sunscreen. He says worrying about the future is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life will always be things that never crossed your worried mind.

& Tim: Mum. How are you?
    Mum: Honestly?
    Tim: Why not?
Mum: I am fucking furious. I am so uninterested in a life without your father.

& Tim: ...And so he told me his secret formula for happiness. Part one of the two part plan was that I should just get on with ordinary life, living it day by day, like anyone else. ... Part two of Dad’s plan: He told me to live every day again almost exactly the same. The first time with all the tensions and worries that stop us noticing how sweet the world can be, but the second time noticing.

& Mary: What do you think about the kids?
    Tim: What about them?
Mary: Not many of them, are there?.. Well, I mean two?
Tim: It’s more than the Chinese are allowed!

& Mary: I just thought that maybe, you know, it was time for the insurance baby.
    Tim: What?
Mary: In case one of them is really smart, we don’t want the other one to feel stupid their whole life. And if we had a third one, then we could have two happy dummies.

& Tim: Why don’t we wait a bit?
Mary: Absolutely. You’re right. Yeah... How about now?.. Or now?.. Now?
    Tim: Yeah, okay.

& Tim: The truth is, I now don’t travel back at all. Not even for the day. I just try to live every day as if I’ve deliberately come back to this one day to enjoy it as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life.

& Tim: We’re all travelling through time together every day of our lives. All we can do is do our best to relish this remarkable ride.

& Niki Lauda: Why would I be jealous? Think about it. All that affection, all those smiles, is a sign of disrespect. They don’t fear you. Whereas compared that to me.
James Hunt: Yes, compared to you, whom no one likes.
    Niki Lauda: Right.
James Hunt: Not even his own teammates.

James Hunt: Yes, you’re very well-behaved.
Niki Lauda: Go to work, kick ass. And then, after the race, I go home instead of going to bars and talk all this bullshit with all these assholes.
    James Hunt: Arseholes?
Niki Lauda: You should go home more often too.

& Niki Lauda: Do you really think it upsets me, James, calling me a rat because I look like one? I don’t mind it. Rats are ugly, sure, and nobody like them, but they’re very intelligent and they have a strong survival instinct.

Seeing Things

True Detective 1×2

& Marty: Marines, Korea. Never talked about it. You know, there was a time that men didn’t air their bullshit to the world. You know, it just wasn’t a part of their job.

& Marty: Every person within a thousand miles of here is religious in some kind of way, except you.

& Rust: You know, you reach a certain age, you know who you are. Now I live in a little room out in the country, behind a bar. Work 4 nights a week; in between, I drink, and there ain’t nobody there to stop me. I know who I am. After all these years, there’s a... there’s a victory in that.

& Rust: Shee-it. Just what have you two heard about me?

& Lucy: Kinda strange, like you might be dangerous.
Rust: Well, of course I’m dangerous. I’m police. I could do terrible things to people... with impunity.

& Rust: Maybe you could just follow your nose.

& Marty: There are other places she could go.
Madam: Such holy bullshit from you. It’s a woman’s body, ain’t it? A woman’s choice.
Marty: Well, she don’t look like a woman to me. At that age, she is not equipped to make those kind of choices. But I guess you don’t give a shit what kind of damage she’s doing to herself, as long as you’re making your money.
Madam: Girls walk this Earth all the time screwin’ for free. Now, why is it you add business to the mix, and boys like you can’t stand the thought? I’ll tell you. It’s ’cause suddenly you don’t own it the way you thought you did.

& Marty: Is shitting on any moment of decency part of your job description?

& Det. Gilbough: Why homicide?
Rust: Oh, something I saw at Northshore. Quote from Corinthians. “The body is not one member, but many. Now are they many, but... of one body.”
Det. Papania: What’s that mean, though?
Rust: I was just trying to stay a part of the body now.

& Mr. Kelly: So you’re telling me the world isn’t getting worse? I seen kids today, all in black, wearing makeup, shit on their faces. Everything’s sex... Clinton!
Marty: You know, throughout history, I bet every old man probably said the same thing. And old men die, and the world keeps spinning.

& Rust: You know how I think about my daughter now? You know what... what she was spared? Sometimes I feel grateful. Doctors said she didn’t feel a thing. Went straight into a coma, and then, somewhere in that... blackness, she slipped off into another, deeper kind. Isn’t that a beautiful way to go out?.. Heh! Painlessly, as a happy child... Hmm. Yeah, trouble with... dying later is you’ve already grown up. Heh! Damage is done. It’s too late.

& Benita: I love my country. I love my country. And, I mean, I definitely wouldn’t want for there to be another 911.
Doug: What? Who calls it 911? It’s 9/11.
JC: A lot of people died that day, Doug. Does it really matter what we call it?
Doug: Hey. A guy who once dated my aunt worked at Cantor Fitzgerald, so don’t you... Don’t you dare give me the high hat.

& Everett: Monica’s our boss. Crazy powerful, and I mean that not in the sense of “very powerful,” which she is, but literally bat-shit out of her mind. Let me plug that data in here... Oh. It says, “Good luck working again, dumb-ass.”
    Clyde: You’re fucking useless.
Everett: You’re trapped by a lion. You don’t say, “Fuck you, lion.” You play dead and pray to God it doesn’t eat you.

& Rainmaker: Don’t feed me that coercion bullshit. I didn’t hold a gun to any of your heads. You wanted to.
Jeannie: Oh, God, yes. The too-tight shirts, the thick, fetid breath, the snow white bush, we all just had to have it. I mean, what girl doesn’t dream of blowing Santa Claus?
Rainmaker: Hmm... I liked fucking you. But I’m gonna... really... like fucking you.

& Jeannie: I just want to be clear, Marty... that this is a business decision. Purely. While our interests coincide at the moment, I will not hesitate to throw you under the bus if it serves me in the future.

All Is Lost

& Our Man: I’m sorry... I know that means little at this point, but I am.
I tried, I think you would all agree that I tried. To be true, to be strong, to be kind, to love, to be right... But I wasn’t. And I know you knew this. In each of your ways. And I am sorry.
All is lost here... except for soul and body... that is, what’s left of them. And a halfday’s ration. It’s inexcusable really, I know that now. How it could have taken this long to admit that I’m not sure... but it did. I fought ’til the end, I’m not sure what that is worth, but know that I did.
I have always hoped for more for you all... I will miss you. I’m sorry.

Homo Sapiens.
