Walden: Well, I bought him, uh, an app for 99 cents, so, yeah, I’m teaching him.

& Denise: I know how to use a machete now. I’ve seen roamers up close. I’m ready.

Ford: Guard duty, weapons training, changing up the hairstyle, swigging some swagger with the ladies, spitting game—
Eugene: If you don’t spit game, you are game.
Ford: Man seems to be changing...
Eugene: At least trying like hell to.

& Eugene: It’s simple, really. As with any RPG, tabletop, electronic, or otherwise, the key to survival is allowing oneself to be shaped by the assigned environment. In doing so, a broad range of capabilities are acquired, allowing one to flip the script and use said capabilities to shape said environment for maximum longevity. I’m saying I’m in the process of said stage two. I’ve changed, adapted. I’m a survivor.
Ford: .... Keep telling yourself that.

& Eugene: I most definitely almost certainly think I can do that here.
Ford: That, my friend, is some damn fine genuine outside-the-box thinking.

& Daryl: You could’ve died right there, you know that?!
Denise: Yeah, I do. Who gives a shit?! You could’ve died killing those Saviors, both of you, but you didn’t. You wanna live, you take chances. That’s how it works.

& Ford: I apologize for questioning your skills. You know how to bite a dick, Eugene. I mean that with the utmost of respect. Welcome to stage two.

& Ford: Could be 30 years for us here. That’s still too short.

& Ben: Freud said, «Love and work. Work and love. That’s all there is.» Well, I’m retired, and my wife is dead. As you can imagine, that’s given me some time on my hands.

& Ben: Retirement? That is an ongoing, relentless effort in creativity. ... I realized the key to this whole deal was to keep moving. Get up, get out of the house, and go somewhere. Anywhere. Come rain or shine, I’m at my Starbucks by 7:15.

& Paige: So, your Jules’ new driver?
Ben: No, actually, I’m her intern.
    Paige: That’s hysterical.
Matt: You know what an intern is?
    Paige: No.
Ben: That’s okay. Everyone thinks it’s hysterical.

& Davis: What’s in all these drawers?
Ben: Boxers, t-shirts, pocket squares, handkerchiefs.
Davis: Okay, what’s the deal with the handkerchief? That one I just don’t get at all.
Ben: Okay. It’s essential. That your generation doesn’t know that is criminal. The best reason to carry a handkerchief is to lend it... Women cry, Davis. We carry it for them. One of the last vestiges of the chivalrous gent.

& Jules: Boys, what can I say... I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to call you «boys.» Nobody calls men «men» anymore. Have you noticed? Women went from «girls» to «women.» Men went from «men» to «boys»? This is a problem in the big picture. Do you know what I mean?

& Jules: We all grew up during the «take your daughter to work day» thing, right? So we were always told we could be anything, do anything. And I think guys got, maybe not left behind, but not quite as nurtured, you know? I mean, like, we were the generation of «you go, girl.» We had Oprah! And I wonder sometimes how guys fit in, you know? They still seem to be trying to figure it out. They’re still dressing like little boys. They’re still playing video games.

& Jules: How, in one generation, have men gone from guys like... Jack Nicholson and Harrison Ford to... Take Ben, here. A dying breed. You know? Look and learn, boys, because if you ask me, this is what cool is.

& Jules: How is it that you always manage to say the right thing... Do the right thing, be the right thing?.. It’s uncanny.

& Jay: You know what really gets my goat?.. Goat cheese. It’s on everything. I hate it. The only thing worse than goat cheese is eating it at a communal table with some jerk wearing a hat inside. Have some respect. And pull up your pants!

& Phil: Are you lulling me into a false sense of security? Are you gonna do something to me while I’m asleep?

The Same Boat

The Walking Dead 6×13

& Molly: Honey, you need to take some yoga breaths and calm your ass down.

& Paula: Anyway, that’s cute. Babies are the point. Children are our future. Making bite-size snacks for the dead... The point is to stay standing.
Maggie: No. Walkers do that. I’m choosing something.

& Paula: And what do you think you know about Negan?
Carol: He sounded like a maniac. We were scared. We had to stop him.
Molly: Sweetie, sweetie. We are all Negan.

& Carol: You don’t want me to stick to my own principles.

& Paula: Your people are killers, Carol. That makes you a killer.

& Molly: Eat shit and die, Donnie! Where are ya, Magnolia? I wanna bloody up that nice...

& Paula: If you could do all this, what were you so afraid of, Carol?

& Carol: None of this would’ve happened if I had just killed him.
